**Chapter 28: The Situation**
Fox Nine Song brought Mo Rabbit closer to the building.
She was likely going to introduce her to another Star Eclipse.
Mo Rabbit had chatted and laughed with plenty of Star Eclipses, so she wasn’t exactly on the edge of her seat.
As long as the First Generation Star Eclipse didn’t make a move, she was 100% calm.
In her announcer form, she could easily pass for a Star Eclipse, blending in with a crowd without a hitch.
As long as she didn’t blow her cover, the other Star Eclipses wouldn’t have a clue about her true identity.
After a while,
Mo Rabbit sensed an unusually fiery aura, clearly radiating from a nearby Star Eclipse.
This was what could only be described as Star Eclipse pollution.
If caught off guard, she could spontaneously combust—count it a 100% guaranteed ticket to the afterlife.
Soon after, the hot aura drew closer.
When Mo Rabbit looked over, it was definitely a new Star Eclipse embodiment.
A red-haired, dark-golden-eyed uncle, looking like he was well into his thirties.
That fiery aura was enough to suggest his powers were fire-related.
A quick jog of memory allowed her to connect the dots and guess his identity.
He was Yan Jue, a local-level Sunlight Night Watcher, and from the files, he seemed like a blunt, thick-headed fellow whose previous Star was indeed tied to flames.
He’d been dead for over ten years.
“Who’s this?” Yan Jue asked, peering at them.
“Dunno, just bumped into her,” Fox Nine Song replied.
“Never seen her before; is she a newly born fellow?”
“Probably.”
Yan Jue scrutinized the petite black-haired girl before him, his expression slowly turning sympathetic.
Mo Rabbit remained silent, sizing up Yan Jue in return.
Unlike Fox Nine Song, it seemed Yan Jue had retained memories from his past life; his gaze was more lively and less confused.
He was somewhat similar to the folks from the Rising Sun Theater Group.
If the Star Eclipse embodiments here could unite, they would create a formidable force that the Night Watcher organization could capitalize on—even use as trump cards.
Too bad, compared to the Rising Sun Theater, this place lacked someone like the Audience Performer.
Without the ability to control Star Eclipse pollution, they could only be sealed in the cemetery, with even their rebirth being a potential mistake.
“What’s your name?” Yan Jue pressed on.
“Mo… Qianmeng.”
She didn’t want to expose the name Mo Rabbit or Mo Tu; she could only pull her cousin into this mess.
Besides, who would even know?
“Mo Qianmeng, huh? You were a Night Watcher too?”
“Of course.”
“Buried here too?”
“Probably.”
These were pretty easy questions.
Right, right, that’ll wrap it up.
Otherwise, explaining her backstory could get tricky.
After casually dodging a few questions, the heat radiating from Yan Jue grew stronger.
It seemed he was getting mad.
“The current Night Watcher organization is increasingly useless! They actually sent a tiny kid to the battlefield, letting her d*e at the front lines—are they out of their minds? How shameless can one be to make such decisions?!”
Yan Jue yelled, his body erupting in black flames, which looked remarkably sticky; once they touched you, good luck getting free.
“What did I fight and d*e for? Isn’t it to create a healthy environment for kids to thrive? What kind of leadership is this from the Night Watcher Leader? He’s dead and got buried here as a Star Eclipse, and when he shows up in front of me, believe me, I’ll give him an earful!”
Sending kids to the battlefield is morally unacceptable, especially now!
Such things definitely should not happen.
“Ahaha…”
Mo Rabbit scratched her face awkwardly.
The leader truly bore an undeserved reputation.
If he found out about this, she was not going to escape unscathed.
At this point, she could only use the old ‘loli’ excuse that little girls love to throw around.
“Actually, senior, I’m a legal loli; I’m an adult.”
Even though she didn’t want to admit it.
But to avoid misunderstandings, that was all she could do.
The flames on Yan Jue’s body gradually calmed down, and he began to thoughtfully scrutinize Mo Rabbit’s posture.
“Then it’s all good. Are you just underdeveloped? You’re so young, and you went down that fast—what a waste!”
“Uh-huh.”
As if.
Her true form is a tall, handsome youth over 1.8 meters; underdeveloped is a joke.
It’s not like Mo Rabbit chose to become a loli; it was for survival!
Yan Jue didn’t dwell on it too much.
Star Eclipses can’t interfere with their past lives anymore.
“Do you remember anything from before?”
“Just a little.”
“Well, that’s okay; this girl named Fox Nine Song doesn’t remember a thing.”
Fox Nine Song’s expression dropped, clearly caring about this.
Oof, talk about hitting a sore spot.
What a blunt fellow he was!
Mo Rabbit had no intention to drag this conversation out any longer.
“Back to the topic, can you tell me what’s going on here? I just got born and am really unfamiliar with everything.”
“Definitely necessary to fill you in.”
Yan Jue started explaining.
Seemed more reliable than Fox Nine Song.
Apparently, not long ago, the Hero Cemetery’s seal was quite stable, with all Star Eclipses in slumber.
But one day, cracks appeared in the seal, and a mysterious entity broke in.
This mysterious presence used immense power to create this space, absorbing all the sealed Star Eclipses, forming territory and citizens, and declared that she would rule over them—all Star Eclipses were to obey her!
Yet how could the Star Eclipses of the Hero Cemetery just roll over?
With their past lives as Night Watchers, most of them were extremely disciplined, and their obsessions leaned towards the gentle; they wouldn’t accept anyone’s control.
But the aura of that mysterious presence was terrifying, immediately pinning all present Star Eclipses down, rendering them immobile—no resistance whatsoever.
It was at that moment they realized this mysterious entity was on a whole other level and that they plain couldn’t fight back.
And even if they didn’t agree to the control, they’d be forcibly dominated; otherwise, they’d be fighting a losing battle.
Fortunately, after that mysterious presence entered the Hero Cemetery, she didn’t take any further actions and remained here—no one knew what her plan was.
The Star Eclipses of the cemetery saw her lack of follow-up action and decided against launching a rebellion.
Besides, the current situation was way better than being sealed.
When sealed, they inevitably slipped into slumber, devoid of thoughts.
But being sucked into this space allowed them to roam freely, move into houses, and even chat with other Star Eclipses.
More importantly, their Star Eclipse pollution wouldn’t harm the human world; it only existed in this enclosed space.
If it continued like this, it could be a pretty good outcome!
But the question was, what exactly did that mysterious Star Eclipse want to do?
With no clarity about her intentions, no one dared to be fully at ease.
Usually, that mysterious Star Eclipse wouldn’t randomly appear or interact with the Star Eclipses of the Hero Cemetery—she was truly enigmatic.
So mysterious that none of the Star Eclipses even knew her real appearance; most was still a complete unknown.
From Yan Jue’s explanation, Mo Rabbit got a general grasp of the situation here.
On the surface, the Hero Cemetery no longer had any Star Eclipses, and there was no need for seals anymore.
They’d all been swept away!
Forget the seals; they were done!
