Chapter 3: Go Wild
“What! You’re really going to do this?”
Loti Shana was incredibly shocked and bewildered.
Finding the origin of the stars should have been the obsession of the first generation Star Eclipses, even for an irrelevant bystander wanting to seek it out, it would likely be due to the mysterious and incredible power of the origin.
But Night Star clearly already possesses the tremendous force of an origin.
Being favored by such a great and mysterious existence, she shouldn’t have any pursuits in that regard.
But now, Night Star shows a firm determination to find another part of the origin.
The reason seems to be… testing her reaction?
This is just so bizarre.
Night Star’s motive is so boring, it can’t get any more boring than this.
At least to Loti Shana, it’s like that.
Involving the origin of the stars, this is no ordinary matter.
Loti Shana suddenly feels her emotions becoming complex.
“You’re a strange human.”
Night Star finds this very unsatisfactory.
“Cut it out calling me human please, I have a name too, naturally I prefer you call me something like master, I quite like that title.”
To Night Star, Loti Shana is destined to become her maid—calling her master makes perfect sense.
However, Loti Shana’s stubborn personality genuinely is something special; she seems to still adhere strongly to some line that can’t be crossed.
“Master? Impossible! A great nation’s ruler can’t be a master! And forget about you making me call you that!”
“Mmm~ you’re so persistent, even when you’re in such a predicament.”
Night Star once again pinches Loti Shana’s cheek, enjoying the plump resilience as if squeezing jelly.
Though Loti Shana looks resistant, Night Star feels no disappointment.
Rather, the more she resists, the more excited Night Star gets.
Isn’t it immensely satisfying to turn Loti Shana into a well-behaved loli maid step by step?
Night Star believes she definitely can do it.
First, she needs to find the other part of the star’s origin, to cut off all of Loti Shana’s hopes.
Then, Loti Shana will stay by her side forever, unable to escape.
Isn’t that great?
Night Star looks at the gritting Loti Shana who dares not do anything, molding her face into several rather comical expressions, couldn’t help but let slip an expectant smile.
“Loti Shana, I look forward to you calling me master.”
“Give up hope human, it’s impossible.”
“To me, nothing is impossible.”
Night Star finally lets go of Loti Shana’s face, feeling thoroughly satisfied.
“I’m going back to sleep now, behave yourself while I’m gone, don’t try to escape. Regardless of which Star Eclipse Nation you flee to, I’ll find you. You don’t want your entire existence to revolve around searching for the origin’s obsession, right?”
“Grr…remember this…”
“Hehe~ of course I’ll remember, you’re my first loli maid.”
“N-no! I’m not a maid, but the great queen of the Star Eclipse Nation!”
“Still, you’re my maid.”
“No! Not at all!”
“What I say goes, and it is.”
Facing Loti Shana, Night Star is particularly tough, getting the violet-haired loli riled up more and more.
“This infuriates me beyond words!”
But despite all the anger, the first generation Star Eclipse won’t allow emotions to control her actions, nor will she impulsively do anything foolish.
As a human, she’d lose control and act violently long ago.
So Loti Shana vents only verbally.
“Yeahhhn~ then stew in your rage, though it won’t hurt your body, do consider what I’ve said. Who knows? The next time I come back, maybe I could bring news of finding the origins. Look forward to it.”
No sooner had she spoken when Night Star left through the Theater Door of the Star Eclipse Nation.
Loti Shana’s mood starts to calm down.
“Does that human really want to find the other part of the star’s origin? Can Bai even be found? With Kuro and Bai already under the hands of humans, who knows what might happen now.”
One thing’s for certain: none of the first generation Star Eclipses should stand a chance of achieving this obsession.
Unless they request help from or submit to Night Star.
Loti Shana isn’t sure how others will choose, but she is certain she will face troubles.
“Gurr…how did this happen?”
Loti Shana doesn’t know anymore.
For Ballad Conductor, facing d*ath might be his end.
And for her to submit to a human might also be her end.
Still, on second thought…
It probably isn’t easy to find the star’s origin.
Otherwise, wouldn’t all the first-generation Star Eclipses have discovered it after such long searches if it were otherwise?
Moreover, Loti Shana herself hasn’t exactly been idle; if there was a breakthrough, it certainly would have been a significant challenge.
Perhaps it was luck that allowed Night Star to locate Kuro, but finding the other part of Bai might not be as simple.
Loti Shana calmly contemplates.
“Forget it… if even the complete one is hard to find, what can I do now? Maybe I just have to wait for that human to bring new news.”
For no apparent reason, Loti Shana suddenly feels a lot lighter.
There’s comfort in sharing such an important task with someone else.
Because it feels like Night Star is helping her search.
Thus, Loti Shana can push the quest for the origin’s end.
Her motivation has plummeted.
Taking this downtime to enjoy a rare moment of peace isn’t so bad.
During the time when Night Star is away, she is still the king of the nation.

The day after the grand performance comes to an end,
Night Lan and her friends are back in Yun Chang City.
“We’re back~”
As she resumes walking into the Night Watcher Base of Yun Chang City, Night Lan wears an expression of nostalgia.
A nearly month-long absence.
During this period Night Lan and Night Star haven’t returned, possibly neglecting their fish-playing house.
Just thinking about having to thoroughly clean it up makes Night Lan’s head hurt.
But she can’t skip cleaning if she’s a neat freak.
Why not wish for the fish-playing house to clean itself up?
She’s basically a lazy dog anyway.
A moment later,
at the Night Watcher Base, Night Lan meets Xiao Jin, Wang Chao, and Bai Yuan; seems they came out purposely to welcome her.
“Yo, isn’t that our little capital Sunlight Night Watcher, how’s the vacation treating you?”
Wang Chao spoke.
One could tell he was teasing her recent actions.
“It turns out you reveal so many edges after such a short amount of time, even I’m surprised. Giving up on playing hooky?”
Hearing this, Night Lan pouts.
“I would love to slack off too, but there’s always something getting in the way; the trouble keeps piling up.”
“True, thanks for your hard work these past days.”
“Mmm~ Just refrain from assigning me any troublesome work, I’m busy enough.”
“Leave that to the chief; my only job is slacking off.”
Wang Chao points towards Xiao Jin, the true leader of Yun Chang City.
Xiao Jin gazes warmly at Night Lan and smiles gently, asking, “Did you have a good time during your month off?”
Night Lan nods firmly, revealing a contented smile.
“Mm-hm, I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
