Chapter 10: Three Years Later
The next few days passed.
Night Star Lan was lying around like a salted fish, completely devoid of motivation.
The aftereffects of wish fulfillment didn’t fully fade away until Wednesday.
It wasn’t easy, let me tell you.
Now that she had recovered, it was clear it was time to take action.
Night Star Lan was off to the future world in search of the Source of White!
Of course, she had to inform the theater group members about it.
“Is the Audience Performer going to the future?”

“Don’t worry, it’ll be fine! Just look up—didn’t that Kuro become the theater’s lighting prop? So there’s absolutely no problem!”
Lianhua walked over and hugged Night Star, clearly not comforted despite Night Star’s reassuring words.
“But I’m still worried about you, Audience Performer… Even if there’s a slight chance of something going wrong, I don’t want you to face it alone. Can I come with you?”
“Uh… I’d really like to, but if I bring one more person, I might just collapse…”
You know, there’s a limit on how many people can tag along.

The group leader and the others nodded, expressing their agreement.

As long as Night Star remained the Audience Performer of the group, she would always be the pillar of the Rising Sun Theater Group, and they would always look out for her.

Star Eclipses wouldn’t change with time.
Relief washed over the members of the theater group.
“Then please be extra careful, Audience Performer! Whether in the present or the future, we’ll support everything you do!”

That was the theater group sorted out.
As for the Night Watcher side, Night Lan decided to keep it under wraps.
According to past patterns, when she returned to the previous timeline, reality felt like time stood still, and once she returned, it would start flowing again.
So, off to the future, it should follow the same principle.
Even if it’s a round trip through time, in reality, it’s just a fleeting moment.
She didn’t plan to hide it from the theater members.
Not telling White Fish and the others was simply to avoid worrying them too much.

At Fish Playing House.
Upon returning, Night Star Lan took a deep breath, gradually relaxing and shedding her tense state.

Two little lolis opened their eyes, finding themselves sprawled on a bed, their gazes blankly fixed on the ceiling.
It took a moment for their minds to focus, like waking up from a deep slumber.
“Fish Playing House?”
Right.
The familiar ceiling greeted their eyes.
Night Star Lan was right back in her own Fish Playing House, sprawled on her recognizable bed, and it felt like not much had changed.
Had she succeeded?
Night Star Lan lacked the energy to ponder such questions.
All she felt was lethargy and a strong urge to sleep, as if she could snooze until the end of the world.
If she felt this overwhelmingly sleepy, then it must mean her wish had been granted.
No matter what, let’s first catch some z’s and reboot, shall we?
Otherwise, it would be impossible to function.
Since it was her own Fish Playing House, it should be fine to let go and drift off, right?

“Good night…”
Night Star Lan slowly closed her eyes.
The two little lolis snuggled under the blankets, drifting into a deep sleep.
As for what would happen during that sleep, it was beyond her thoughts for the moment.

The room went eerily quiet.
Only the sound of their steady breathing rang clear.
Who knows how long it was before the door of the Fish Playing House swung open.
A girl with a playful, lively tuft of hair floated in, quickly noticing the lump under the blankets.
“Still sleeping? Want to join in the blanket snuggle? But if I wake her, she’ll probably kick me off the bed in no time!”
The girl whispered to herself, not disturbing the two little lolis resting on the bed.
Then she gracefully tiptoed to the bedside, not making a sound, like a ghost gliding past.
She quietly gazed at the two adorable sleeping faces stuck to the pillow, a warm smile of an amused aunt crept onto her lips.
“Forget it, the mischief can wait until tomorrow. Today, I’ll let you sleep peacefully~”
She was Eypar, a Ghost Girl.
With a little help from Night Star Lan, she had gained the ability to shift between the corporeal and ethereal, allowing her to blend into human society.
That’s it.
Time passed, and eventually, Night Star Lan awoke from her slumber. Looking out the window, she noticed it was already dark.
It had been daytime when she fell asleep, but judging by the twilight outside, she must have slept for a long time.
“Ugh.”
Night Star Lan didn’t utter much, merely glancing at the clock on the wall, which indicated it was around seven or eight in the evening.
Wow, it has gotten that late!
But more pressing than this detail was another time-related concern.
Her wish had been granted.
But she had no clue what the current time frame was.
Thankfully, there was a Night Watcher device nearby to check the specific time.
“2105? When I arrived, it seemed like it was 2102, three years later? That’s not too far off, I was expecting to jump ahead ten or twenty years!”
Night Star Lan sighed, feeling a wave of relief wash over her.
As long as it was only a few years away from “now,” everything should be relatively the same.
If things had changed drastically, that would be impossible to handle, and she would be miserable.
Lady Luck was indeed smiling upon her.
Night Star Lan set aside those thoughts and began to gauge her state.
As expected, Wish Princess had once again fallen into a deep sleep.
It seemed that fulfilling this wish not only drained her mental energy but also landed Wish Princess in a lengthy cooldown period.
What a wild ride with the Origin of the Stars—such outrageous wishes!
Who knows how long it would take for her to recover?
If she didn’t recover…
Let’s just say Night Star Lan wasn’t feeling too secure during this time.
