### Chapter 18: How Strange
After Night Lan stepped outside, she glanced at the door next door, and suddenly fell into deep thought.
Next door lives Mo Tu.
This quickly sparked Night Lan’s curiosity.
What has changed about Mo Tu in three years?
Has he turned into Mo Rabbit and completely femme’d out?
The more she thought about it, the more curious she became.
Unable to resist, Night Lan knocked on the neighboring door, but there was no response.
“Hmm, not home? Guess he’s probably at the Night Watcher Base.”
Night Lan recalled the scene at the theater moments ago.
Lianhua called in the other members of the theater group, but the Announcer never showed up.
She should be out having fun somewhere.
“Well…”
After a moment’s hesitation, Night Lan used her device to call for a Star Vehicle parked nearby.
This Star Vehicle, obtained from headquarters, still looked so cool.
It seemed pretty new.
Ever since Night Lan gained the ability to “Blink,” she had rarely taken the vehicle for action.
Plus, she didn’t want to drain her mental energy.
Using “Blink” one time is quite the workout.
Moreover, she was still in a weak state and couldn’t afford to waste such incredible powers.
She didn’t want to utilize the convenience of the Theater Door either.
There’s always time to mentally prepare, right?
So taking the Star Vehicle with auto-pilot was probably the best option.

Thanks to its “disguise” feature, the Star Vehicle blended perfectly into the swarm of cars, going unnoticed.
Night Lan sat in the passenger seat, gazing out the window at the familiar sights of Yun Chang City.
Three years wasn’t enough to change the face of such a big city; everything still felt so recognizable.
But lots of things must have happened.
There were many stories or endings Night Lan was eager to discover.
One thing was certain: the Rising Sun Theater Group, as a friendly Star Eclipse faction, had been accepted by the Night Watchers and was thriving socially, gaining a massive reputation online and in real life.
This was the motivation she had originally wanted to work towards.
And she didn’t want to rely on the Wish Princess.

If she brought back the Source of White, would it give rise to another kind of ending?
Just thinking about it made her excited.

The Star Vehicle carrying Night Lan finally arrived at the Night Watcher Base in Yun Chang City and descended onto the parking level.
“Hmm… has the Yun Chang City base been expanded? It feels like it’s grown quite a bit!”
She was amazed when she saw the base building from a distance just moments ago.
Clearly, this base had been expanded, looking significantly upgraded.
It felt like it was becoming the second-largest base under headquarters.
Night Lan quickly reduced her presence and took the elevator to the resting area.
On her way, she saw a lot of Night Watchers, many of whom were unfamiliar faces.
They must be new recruits or transferees from other cities.
Compared to before, the number of people clearly had expanded significantly.
“Wow, there are way more people now. What’s going on?”
On the way, Night Lan pulled out her phone and searched for the keyword “Yun Chang City” on the Night Watcher’s official website.
After a brief surfing session online, she quickly figured out the reason.
Turns out it was all because of her!

Though she was a Sunlight Night Watcher from the capital, she wasn’t stationed in the capital but was instead an ordinary presence in Yun Chang City.
Besides her Sunlight identity, she had other titles.
Like the leader of the Graveyard Star Eclipses, a high-level mascot of the Night Watchers, a spiritual leader, and a proof of friendship with the Rising Sun Theater Group.
These identities had accumulated a terrifying amount of popularity for her.
So much so that many Night Watchers wanted to come work in Yun Chang City.
This included newbies who hadn’t officially become Night Watchers, as well as current Night Watchers from other cities wanting to relocate.
With that, the number of Night Watchers in Yun Chang City continued to grow, nearing the count at headquarters.
Surprisingly, headquarters didn’t intervene; instead, they expanded the Night Watcher Base in Yun Chang City, significantly elevating its status.
After reading this, Night Lan seriously questioned whether the Leader intended to turn the Yun Chang City Night Watcher Base into the second headquarters and make her the Leader.
After all, possessing such an incredible force, it would be a waste to just remain a spiritual leader.
It made sense that they would aim to cultivate Night Lan at the Yun Chang City Night Watcher Base.
“Hmm… what a beautiful dream! There’s no way I’m taking on that troublesome job. Being a cute mascot is far better.”
Night Lan easily spotted the Leader’s intentions.
She was certain that future her would have realized this too.

Night Lan passed by one after another of the Night Watchers, and after getting through the leisure hall, she could reach the accommodation area.
But just then, she suddenly spotted an incredibly familiar figure.
“I can’t believe it! Mo Rabbit!”
Among the throng of Night Watchers, Night Lan spotted the petite figure with short black hair, unmistakably the Announcer of the Rising Sun Theater—Mo Rabbit!
Why on earth was she at the Night Watcher Base?
Not as Mo Tu, but as Mo Rabbit!
Driven by intense curiosity, Night Lan quickly approached, intercepted her, and pulled her aside.
That’s when Mo Rabbit finally noticed Night Lan’s presence.
“What are you doing?”
“I was just about to ask you the same thing! Why are you here in this state at the Night Watcher Base? That’s super bold!”
Mo Rabbit raised an eyebrow, deep in thought, and couldn’t help but place a hand on Night Lan’s forehead, seemingly checking her temperature.
Night Lan immediately swatted her hand away, looking exasperated.
“I’m not sick.”
“I thought maybe you were sick and your brain had malfunctioned. Isn’t it normal for me to be here? The Rising Sun Theater Group already has the right to enter the Night Watcher Base, so it shouldn’t be surprising for me to come in as the Announcer. I thought this was thanks to you—unless you’ve suddenly lost your memory?”
Night Lan pondered for a moment, then her expression changed dramatically as she pretended to have an epiphany.
“Oh, is that it! I’m quite impressive, aren’t I?”
“Wait, you seem a bit off.”
Mo Rabbit seemed to sense something and frowned.
“Did you make a wish? You seem weak and your mental energy is low; you feel different from before.”
“What feels different?” Night Lan asked, curious.
“You didn’t lift my skirt as soon as we met—now that’s strange.”
“Pfft!”
