### Chapter 38: Changes
Night Star shook off her wandering thoughts.
Why bother with all this nonsense?
Instead, she thought about future plans.
After tonight, she had to go see how others had changed in these three years, at least to take a glance at them.
She’d greet old acquaintances and watch them grow.
If possible, she even wanted to take some photos back and show her past friends what their future selves looked like.
That would surely be interesting.
“Mm hm, time for bed now! Loti Shana, be my pillow and don’t move,” Night Lan said as she hugged Loti Shana, ready to drift off in drowsiness.
Even though it was still early, it suited Night Lan just fine. Her energy levels were dangerously low.
With such a hangover, she couldn’t stay up late anymore.
It was better to catch some sleep and regain her strength.
Getting Wish Princess to recover soon was also top priority.
As for Night Lan, she fell asleep as well.
She lay on White Fish’s lap, her eyes closed in a peaceful slumber. White Fish gently brushed her hair despite feeling pins and needles in her leg.
They all quieted down, ending their chatter for the day to give Night Lan a comfy place to sleep.
Checking the time, it was only around eight in the evening.
Just a short while ago, they all had dinner together. It was surprising how quickly she had fallen asleep.
Eat, sleep, repeat—Night Lan could really make a great pig, if pigs could have that lifestyle.
Of course, she was a “pig” like no other, so cute she was in a league of her own.
No words spoken throughout the night.
Night Lan woke up from her drowsy state and noticed the sun had risen, indicating it was morning.
The ceiling looked like it was in a rest area belonging to the Night Watcher Base.
Looking outside, the sky suggested it must be around noon.
Early to bed, early to rise—it seemed even pigs couldn’t compete with her in this department.
Indeed, there was a huge price for achieving one’s wishes.
Lack of energy wasted much of her time.
From now on, she vowed to never drag star origins into her wishes again.
At that moment, she realized she was lying in a large bed in the rest area, surrounded by four girls: Zero Meow, White Fish, Neko Shinna, and Star Yoon, all sprawled out lazily as if under the influence of some kind of celestial power.
Though that wasn’t the main problem.
From the look of things, five people slept in the same bed yesterday.
That was quite cozy.
This bed seemed modified to fit five without feeling crowded, leaving room for more.

Night Lan found this rather interesting.
Once she got home, she decided to have someone enlarge her bed. That way, everyone could roll around together on it.
White Fish noticed Night Lan had woken up.
“Good afternoon Night Lan, want lunch? I can whip something up right now.”
Neko Shinna asked softly while preparing to get out of bed and cook.
“Please do,” Night Lan nodded, her stomach growling.
After lunch, she planned to head out.
Although she wanted to linger in the girls’ gentle embrace, it was better to stick with the plan.
Like visiting other pals.
“I’m heading out soon; anyone wanna join?”
“Where is Night Lan going?”
“To meet some friends, like Star Sheng and Shiyu Qianyi.”
“But she was there just last week, right?”
“I forgot everything! I don’t know, so this will be the first time for me!”
It seemed the future version of herself visited these female friends often.
With so many friends, she might as well become a time management expert.
Luckily, there was another version of her to share the load, otherwise she wouldn’t have enough time.
Upon hearing this, White Fish and her friends decided to go with Night Lan.
Zero Meow sighed.
“If that’s the case, then I’ll come along too, so you don’t mess anything up due to your memory loss.”
“Uh? Is there a big change?”
“Sure is! Do you know where Star Sheng and Shiyu Qianyi are now?”
Zero Meow tapped her finger against Night Lan’s forehead, looking exasperated.
Night Lan tilted her head in confusion.
“Don’t they live in Pinghai City?”
“They used to, but now they don’t.”
Night Lan’s curiosity piqued.
“So, where are they now?”
“At headquarters,” White Fish smiled, “Apparently, they’re receiving special training to become official Night Watchers. They’re expected to be dispatched to Yun Chang City. Seems like they’re coming here.”
Night Lan understood quickly.
Three years ago, Star Sheng and Shiyu Qianyi were kids and could not join official work.
But after three years, trained and grown up, they were ready to become official Night Watchers.
Training at headquarters meant they were high-level talents.
Seemed they didn’t plan to stay in Pinghai City but were moving to Yun Chang City to find her.
How sweet and spoiled!
Wrong.
Considering White Fish’s and company’s situations, Star Sheng and Shiyu Qianyi probably grew taller than Night Lan.
By comparison, Night Lan was the youngest among them.

Three years later, they should know about her and have met her.
Predictably, White Fish started answering Night Lan’s question.
“Lulu Lana moved to Huaxia, living near the capital. She’s studying at the Night Watcher Base. Seems like she volunteered for it.”
“Hmm, quite a big change indeed.”
Night Lan marveled at how different things had become, growing increasingly curious about her other friends.
Take Qing Liao Songstress, for instance.
Three years on, she remained the world’s most popular songstress, untouched from her throne.
Not even Night Lan, the ‘Starry Sky Songstress,’ could shake her off.
Over these three years, Night Lan had been covering new songs she got from Kong Yu Bai and posting them online, becoming the top online songstress—though nowhere near as popular as Qing Liao.
Yet during this period, she managed to borrow some of Qing Liao’s thunder.
Collaborations and joint concerts, she invited Qing Liao willingly. Night Lan just went along with it.
Ah well.
What a sin to have done all this.
