Chapter 67: The Truth
Up on the ceiling of the theater.
Mo Rabbit was hung rather pitifully from a rafter, getting an up-close feel of the light emanating from the Origin of Kuro.
“Is this really necessary…?”
Mo Rabbit couldn’t help but be speechless.
She had only jokingly said something harmless; she hadn’t even uttered anything sarcastic.
Yet, Night Star had her hoisted up there and left to reflect.
Honestly, being suspended above like that was a new experience for her.
Kind of interesting, but barely.
And somewhat embarrassing.
Of course, Mo Rabbit could easily descend using the theater’s permissions.
But if she were to do that so casually, it might upset the Audience Performer quite a bit.
So it’s better to wait until the rage subsides before coming down.
Otherwise, she’d just be hoisted back up again the moment she landed.
Plus, being hung up here didn’t prevent Mo Rabbit from munching on watermelon seeds and watching the show.
The theater’s interior layout was incredibly ingenious, designed to optimize the performance space.
No matter where one stood in the theater, they could see and hear everything perfectly.
For example, the audience, even those sitting in the very last rows, could still enjoy an unobstructed view of the stage, along with crystal-clear sound.
Granted, this only applied to the stage itself.
Elsewhere, it would become a disaster for everyone involved.
Of course, this was only true for regular audience members.
Mo Rabbit, however, was the builder of the Rising Sun Theater and thus had all the freedom to adjust things as needed.
In situations like these, she just had to tinker a little bit.
As long as she could enjoy the fun stuff, hanging from the ceiling was no big deal.
Environmental factors were negligible.
At this point, Mo Rabbit noticed a pigeon perched nearby, eyeing her with a strange gleam in its eyes.
“Goo goo goo~”
“What are you looking at?”
“Go, such a shameless human.”
“Tch, you think I won’t turn you into roast pigeon?”
Gu Qiu quickly flapped its wings.
“Ga, this pigeon is inedible!”
“Then I’ll lock you up for a month without any fries.”
“Goo! Evil Announcer! I’m going to tell the Audience Performer!”
“Hmmph~ It wouldn’t help even if you did. Any member of the theater group can mock me, but you’re the lowest-ranking pigeon here anyway.”
“Goo goo goo!”
Gu Qiu indignantly flapped its wings, ready to fly down and rat Mo Rabbit out to Night Star.
Before it could get anywhere, Mo Rabbit grabbed the pigeon with the theater’s authority, firmly holding it despite all its squawks.
“Come on, pigeon, show some respect. I’m about to hear something interesting—if you distract me, I might actually hold you for a few days.”
Under Mo Rabbit’s threat, Gu Qiu reluctantly quieted down, planning to report the Announcer later.
Surely, the nice Audience Performer who gave it fries would intervene!

After Night Star got Lianhua to hang Mo Rabbit from the ceiling, she finally felt comfortable enough to discuss what lay ahead.
“The truth is that I encountered someone named Luo Xi in the future. She calls herself my future lover… At least, according to the timeline, I should meet her a year from now. Supposedly, I’m meant to fall for her…”
Upon hearing this, several women couldn’t help but twitch.
The idea of lovers was so unpredictable.
Could this confirmation come from the Audience Performer? It seemed she didn’t have such feelings.
Though the theater group regarded the Audience Performer deeply, titles still mattered.
Everyone wanted to establish a relationship with the Audience Performer, after all.
It was just that the Audience Performer had other ideas.
Otherwise, actions would’ve been taken.
Not noticing the subtle expressions from Kong Yu Bai and Co., Night Star continued,
“When Luo Xi called herself my lover, I trusted her after numerous checks. Right after arriving in the future, my Wish Princess fell into a temporary sleep, and due to my exhaustion and lack of security, I gradually leaned on Luo Xi’s caring attention, accepting her role as my lover… The details of our interactions are irrelevant.”
Night Star skipped the intimate parts.
There wasn’t much to share there, especially the embarrassing incidents—like that kiss by force or almost being taken advantage of in bed.
These things were too shameful to mention in front of the group. Better left unsaid.
Especially since she had a bad feeling that saying them would bring trouble.
It was best just to skip over it entirely.
“Well… Until a day before my Wish Princess wakes up, the Night Watcher suddenly finds the hiding spot of the Origin of White. With the Announcer leading the way, I met the Origin of White, in the same state as the Origin of Kuro. Our brief conversation ended with the Origin of White sending me back to the present…”
A voice interrupted from beside Night Star.
“This doesn’t make sense—how convenient that the Origin of White was found just before the Wish Princess wakes up? Isn’t this clearly staged?”
Night Star shot an annoyed look at Mo Rabbit.
“Did I say you could come down, you nuisance? My anger isn’t gone.”
Mo Rabbit deliberately cleared her throat.
Cough “Whatever, don’t focus on the details. Aren’t you just pointing out how coincidences pile up when you go to the future? The Origin of White found just before the Wish Princess wakes up—it obviously conceals something. Once the Wish Princess wakes, the whole situation will change drastically, more than just finding the Origin of White.”
“Mm-hmm… I also thought it was weird, but I didn’t dwell on it. My goal was simply to find the Origin of White, by whatever means necessary…”
“So then—given your mood today, it must’ve had something to do with the Luo Xi you mentioned. So, what exactly did you confirm?”
Mo Rabbit swiftly asked.
Night Star honestly replied,
“There’s no Luo Xi in this time. No traces online or in reality. Thus, it must be related to the Origin of White from the future, which made me upset because I felt deceived…”
Mo Rabbit wore an expression of déjà vu.
“If that’s the case, then your Wish Princess waking up truly allows her to swiftly uncover the truth. She didn’t want to be discovered, so she sent you away.”
“Furthermore, maybe future you doesn’t know Luo Xi at all. It’s possible she came to find present you, building all of this on an information gap. Is that right?”
“Mm… That’s what happened.”
