Chapter 17: The Visit
Night Star Lan prepared herself mentally in no time.
Since something happened to one of the theater group members, you can’t just ignore the observer!
She brought all the theater group members to this world, so she’d better bring them back in one piece!
Then, Night Star changed into the observer’s outfit, put on the concept mask, looking all fierce and ready.
For safety reasons, it’s better if Night Star goes alone this time.
If she brings Lan along, if the enemy turns out too strong, they might get captured in one fell swoop.
She must be cautious, cautious, and cautionary!
The melon ghost is temporarily useless, possibly just there to be cannon fodder.
Anyway, the first battle of the alternate world might just begin soon!
Night Star walked to the Theater Door, set the coordinates where the door had been recently opened and closed, then reopened it.
Looking at the huge door in front of her, Night Star swallowed hard and stepped out resolutely.
“Eypar, I’ll be back!”
“See ya, Night Star~Eypar will look after Night Lan for sure~”
Eypar couldn’t help but feel perplexed as Night Star walked away with tragic determination.
“Hmm…even though Night Star is invincible, why does she have to be so dramatic?”
She couldn’t understand it.
Really couldn’t.
In Eypar’s eyes, Night Star Lan was the strongest human and needed no second thoughts.
But upon coming to this world, Night Star Lan always feared that something terrifying could jump out and grind her into dust.
Probably because she lacks information.
If Mo Rabbit had told Night Star Lan “you’re invincible here, no one can beat you,” she would probably be much bolder.
…
Switching scenes.
Night Star stood on a soft sandy beach, musing deeply.
“Hmm…why does this feel so familiar?”
She glanced around and noticed a luxurious villa nearby with an unparalleled ocean view.
Night Star felt like she’s seen this place before, not long ago.
Awhile later.
Realization hit her.
“This is where those big shots live! Which daring theater group member actually came here? The group leader surely doesn’t perform here in such a quiet area.”
Soon enough.
She suspected the culprit.
“Could Mo Rabbit have come here for some fun but crashed instead?”
That’s highly likely.
No, scratch that.
It’s close to ninety-nine percent confirmed!
How could someone who barely manages against supernova star eclipses dare to intrude into the territory of several top-tier supernovas?
Isn’t that courting d*ath?
Didn’t her divination warn her not to come here?
Curiosity kills the rabbit.
But never mind.
The mighty observer has arrived!
Even if she’s a timid little thing easily scared and can’t live without a friend hug, she wouldn’t stand by and do nothing if a theater group member were in danger!
Night Star scanned her surroundings again.
Not a soul in sight, she finally zeroed in on a nearby villa.
“Did she get dragged in? Hope she’s alright, Mo Rabbit, I’m coming to save you!”
Meanwhile.
Inside the villa.
Kaguya, who was serving tea to Mo Rabbit, suddenly sensed something, a graceful smile forming on her lips.
“Oh ho~ looks like yet another cute little one wandered here; could she be your companion, dear Announcer?”
The announcer remained quiet for a moment.
“What are the characteristics?”
“A lovely silver-haired girl with a beautiful mask on her face, and a little top hat on her head. Very theatrical look.”
“I think I know who she is.”
Mo Rabbit found it bizarre that the loli stuck in the theater sensed her trouble.
Maybe it was the repeated opening and closing of the theater door that caught her attention.
And she didn’t take it lightly; she further realized that the theater groupmember might be in danger, hence the rescue mission.
Quite commendable.
Kaguya’s smile lingered.
“The turn of events is somewhat unexpected. Didn’t expect her to show up so quickly. That must be fate at play. Quite whimsical.”
Never mind the striking silver hair; no matter what she wears or masks, Kaguya spots her in a heartbeat.
Appearance can be misleading, but the light of the soul isn’t.
Clearly, it’s that silver-haired loli last seen with the ghost girl on a different beach.
Who knew she too, like the announcer, hails from another world?
What a twist.
Mo Rabbit was puzzled.
“She’s been here before?”
“Indeed, she stopped by around here. Initially, I saw her first and she noticed us too. Wanted to approach her, but she got spooked and fled pretty quickly. Such a timid yet adorable girl.”
Night Sky nodded in agreement.
“Just like a timid hamster; feels like we’ve never met a girl as authentic as her throughout our lives.”
Nene chimed in.
“You wouldn’t be in so many predicaments if you didn’t pull out your sword every chance.”
“Phew~ It’s not my fault~”
Little Dream drifted over, interrupting their banter.
“So, what’s her name?”
Mo Rabbit replied, “She’s called the Observer.”
“Observer? That’s not a name, it sounds more like a title,” Night Sky tilted her head in puzzlement.
Mo Rabbit nodded.
“Yes, just like how the Announcer is a title. They’re all titles in our organization. A traditional custom is to use titles among us.”
Night Sky’s eyes lit up as she nodded thoughtfully.
“It feels quite cool. That adds a lot of flair and mystery. Let’s call me the Windy Sword Loli from now on?”
Nene messed up Night Sky’s hair with a sigh.
“No way, too silly. You’d be better off as Wasteful Stupid.”
“Hey! Wasteful Stupid is the dumb idea!”
Suddenly, a knock sounded from the door, signaling the arrival of their visitors.
Kaguya couldn’t resist a chuckle.
“Arriving in such a polite manner to save someone. This cute loli is growing on me.”
Kaguya went to open the door.
Standing bashfully at the entrance was a loli with long silver hair, seemingly embarrassed.
“Um, hello, I’m the Observer. I’m here to pick up a friend. If she has offended you, please don’t hurt her. I apologize beforehand, truly sorry!”
As soon as someone answered the door, Night Star immediately bowed and apologized, showing full respect.
Of course.
It’s Mo Rabbit barged in unexpectedly.
There’s a loss of face initially.
Night Star naturally wouldn’t burst in with hostility.
Kaguya giggled softly.
“Guests are welcome, especially such a courteous child. Come in, sit down, let’s have some tea, and talk about it afterward.”
