Chapter 15: Gaining Trust
The next day arrived as expected.
Sunlight poured through the window and onto the bed, warming up the sleeping Night Star Lan who slowly opened her groggy eyes to an unusual warmth.
A whole night had passed in blissful slumber.
“Ugh…”
Night Star Lan shook off her drowsiness and tried to clear her mind, planning to check on where Luo Xi was.
She tried to move but felt an unexpected sensation.
Turning her head, she saw a cute little girl with white hair lying next to her, her pale gray eyes calmly staring at Night Star Lan without any emotion.
Night Star Lan’s expression froze for a moment before she subconsciously greeted Luo Xi.
“Good morning, Luo Xi…”
“Hmm.”
Luo Xi simply responded, still lying on her side and looking straight at Night Star Lan.
At that moment, Night Star Lan finally realized, and her eyes widened in surprise.
“Did Luo Xi actually lie down and sleep with me yesterday?!”
“Yes.”
“But why?”
“You said it would strengthen our bond, so I thought I’d give it a try.”
Night Star Lan pondered, not expecting such a reason.
Luo Xi actually followed her advice.
“So how did you find it?”
“Since I don’t need sleep, I just stared at you the whole time. It wasn’t particularly special.”
Night Star Lan immediately made a disappointed face.
“What a shame… If I knew you felt like that, I would’ve hugged you like a pillow! Luo Xi should have cuddled me, sharing body heat and heartbeats, which could have created a deeper connection—that’s essential!”
“Then let’s try that tonight.”
“Hehe~ Just waiting for you to say that!”
Regardless of everything,
the outcome for tonight was set.
With this, Night Star Lan looked forward to tonight with the best mood ever!
Whatever happens today will surely be delightful!
Night Star Lan stretched and turned back to Luo Xi with a smile: “Let’s start the new day! With me around, Luo Xi’s life won’t be as monotonous as before! Let me turn your life upside down!”
Seeing Night Star Lan’s enthusiasm, Luo Xi slightly opened her lips as if wanting to say something, but closed them again.
“Don’t imitate Kuro’s style.”
Night Star Lan tilted her head.
“That’s different. My passion is only for Luo Xi, not Kuro. Does Luo Xi like this version of me?”
“Not really, can’t say I dislike it either.”
“Gaaahhhh~ Not the answer I wanted!”
Come to think of it,
Night Star Lan had never heard Luo Xi say she liked her. Luo Xi just tolerates her attempts at cuddling. She certainly wouldn’t say anything overly mushy.
That’s also out of character for Luo Xi’s three-ness personality.

Luo Xi doesn’t have a maternal glow yet.
Though she’s taking care of Night Star Lan, it’s not like she’s treating her like a child; it’s completely different from when they first met.
Probably because she hasn’t adjusted her role yet.
Eventually, after their relationship improves, Luo Xi might make Night Star Lan into a dependent person with her maternal influence.

Today, Night Star Lan was full of energy, ready to enjoy a relaxed and pleasant life with Luo Xi.

Following Night Star Lan’s directions, Luo Xi soon created an outdoor hot spring in an open area, thick fog rising around.
Night Star Lan and Luo Xi stood by the edge of the spring, towels over their shoulders, not getting in yet.
“Ah~ Sometimes I feel like this is a dream. We just met a few days ago, and now we’re at the stage of being honest with each other. Is Luo Xi starting to trust me?”
“Yes.”

Night Star Lan’s expression was a mix of surprise and confusion, not expecting such a positive response.
