Chapter 93

Chapter 93: Little Ling’s Busy Day

As she reflected on things, the class flew by rather quickly. As expected, Xia Yu wasn’t able to absorb much of what was taught.

After class, Xia Yu felt the urge to pee kick in. Remembering that the teachers had told them they could use the faculty restroom, Xia Yu decided to leave the classroom.

Of course, before leaving, Xia Yu whispered to Xia Ling so as not to alarm her. Otherwise, she’d really be worried that the little girl would follow her to the bathroom. Even if Xia Ling didn’t mind, Xia Yu did and found it embarrassing.

Maybe because Xia Yu had jumped off a building before, those boys who used to bully her were given a stern talking-to by their homeroom teacher. At least now they were too scared to mess with Xia Yu.

Then again, that might only be for now. Who knows about later?

So, Xia Yu’s trip to the bathroom went smoothly. No ill-intentioned boys came to hassle her. With her legs still not fully recovered, she would have struggled to fend them off anyway.

Once back in the classroom, Xia Ling couldn’t resist rushing over to Xia Yu. She looked her up and down to make sure she wasn’t hurt. Thank goodness, Xia Yu seemed fine. Xia Ling breathed a sigh of relief.

Who knew how worried Xia Ling had been just now? Actually, she could have just waited at the door for Xia Yu, instead of worrying herself sick. If Xia Yu got picked on again on the way, she wouldn’t be able to keep her promise to take good care of Xia Yu.

While Xia Ling wasn’t just twiddling her thumbs during the short break, she used the time to update her “sister friends” on Xia Yu’s situation. That’s why she hadn’t been able to join them for fun. She had to look after Xia Yu, after all.

Her sister friends understood, and the rumors about Xia Yu using the girls’ toilet before… those had pretty much evaporated.

There were only three classes in the morning, each forty minutes long. Before anyone knew it, lunchtime arrived.

Because she’d been warned, Xia Ling chose not to rush to grab food with her sister friends. Instead, she took it slow with Xia Yu. After all, Xia Yu still couldn’t run properly yet.

Even though she was spending less time hanging out with her gal pals, Xia Ling didn’t regret it. Being an older sister figure to Xia Yu was kind of amusing.

Unable to eat together, the girls made sure to save seats for Xia Ling and Xia Yu. Otherwise, they’d worry about finding no space for them.

After getting their food, Xia Ling dragged Xia Yu toward the other girls, knowing full well how awkward Xia Yu must have felt. But she didn’t show it.

So, once seated, Xia Yu buried herself in eating, while Xia Ling could finally chat with her friends—seeing and eating at the same time!

After lunch, the next stop: the girls’ dormitory.

In truth, this was Xia Yu’s first stay there. It was a bit nerve-wracking, especially since so many girls were coming along for the ride. By afternoon, Xia Yu being in the girls’ dorm would probably spread throughout the entire class.

PS: For now, I’ll pause updates and accumulate content. Once my first book, Reviving Myself, wraps up, I’ll flood this one with updates. Spoiler alert! The young lady often sneaks out to meet Little Yu.
