### Chapter 325: Here Comes the Chicken Soup Bon Appétit!
Two people each held a bamboo basket in one hand and a food box in the other as they walked.
Two pairs of ocean-blue eyes lit up, smiling brightly when they saw Yun Zhonghe.
“Xiaoxiao, Chenchen, what brings you here?”
When he saw Su Xiaoxiao standing unharmed before him, he felt a surge of relief and couldn’t help but smile warmly. His entire being exuded an irresistible charm, making him look almost too perfect to be real.
Su Xiaoxiao and Su Xinghe were both moved.
Though he already knew from the Immortal Alliance investigators that Su Xiaoxiao was safe, seeing her made his heart fully calm down.
He surmised that they must have successfully covered everything up; otherwise, the Alliance would never let Su Xiaoxiao wander around so freely.
Then, a soft, slightly mischievous voice broke the tranquil atmosphere of the room.
“Hmm~ Yun Brother is just staring at the elder sister, ignoring little Chenchen completely!”
Su Xinghe pouted with a pretend cross expression, but her bright eyes twinkled with teasing mischief.
Hearing this, Su Xiaoxiao’s face flushed a rosy pink:
“Chenchen, what nonsense are you spilling there?”
She felt something stir in her heart—Yun Zhonghe only had eyes for her? She felt like she had bewitched him.
But was there really any chance of that?
She glanced shyly at Yun Zhonghe, and when their eyes met again, she quickly looked away, her face blushing even deeper.
In these two days while Yun Zhonghe was unconscious, Su Xiaoxiao couldn’t shake off her uneasiness.
Beyond worrying about the Disasters Empress, she harbored an embarrassing secret…
She vaguely remembered that when she was controlled by the Empress, Yun Zhonghe, to save her… had kissed her!
He had kissed her!
Though the memory was hazy, she was convinced it happened. Every time the memory flickered in her mind, she felt heat rush to her ears.
Directly facing Yun Zhonghe now amplified those feelings.
Even though it wasn’t her first kiss with Yun Zhonghe, to a blossoming teenager, this was the first time he had initiated the kiss. It was profound… almost like watching a Saint arrive on a rainbow cloud… for her.
No, no! Su Xiaoxiao scolded herself silently. It was just him infusing some spiritual energy into her as a necessity, not for any romantic reason.
She’d scolded herself numerous times, yet her heart still raced.
That soft, fragrant kiss—it left her wanting more. Her feelings overflowed like a dam breaking.
Not to mention the sight of him struggling to bring her back to reality… she’d never forget that.
Gratitude, adoration, affection… she could never put it all into words. It was deep and intense…
“Big sister, your ears are red,” Su Xinghe giggled, watching Su Xiaoxiao.
“I-I am not! Stop teasing me!” Su Xiaoxiao protested, instinctively touching her ear.
Even though she tried to hide her embarrassment, her unease was evident. Perhaps her fidgety action betrayed her enough even if her ears weren’t red.
Su Xinghe covered her mouth, still laughing.
While Su Xiaoxiao and Su Xinghe teased each other, Yun Zhonghe lightly smiled. He noticed Su Xiaoxiao looking just as she always did, bringing back a sense of security. The Disasters Empress’ incident hadn’t left much of a shadow on her.
After some time, Su Xiaoxiao composed herself and approached Yun Zhonghe.
“Yun Brother, we brought some chicken soup we cooked and some food.”
Su Xinghe chimed in: “Yeah, just now the Immortal Alliance allowed us to visit. Before we finished our talk, they wouldn’t let us near you.”
As they explained, they showed the baskets and the food box.
With a deep breath, Yun Zhonghe smelled the rich, comforting aroma. His stomach rumbled in agreement.
Lying comatose for days, while his spirit roots were sustaining him, he felt the cold neglect from his normal human desires. His empty stomach didn’t appreciate the hiatus.
“What a delightful smell, little friend! You’re quite fortunate, with such beautiful sisters willing to make soup for you.”
Xing Bu’s voice carried envy and jest. She floated closer to sniff the box, drool practically dripping into it.
Yun Zhonghe: “….”
This ghost can eat? What is going on?
At that time, Su Xiaoxiao and Su Xinghe set up chairs nearby and sat down on either side of Yun Zhonghe’s bed.
The three chatted about the Immortal Alliance’s investigations during his coma. Everything went according to plan—it was smoothly sorted out.
Su Xinghe added: “Right now, the Alliance is handling aftermaths, including dealing with the Chen family and assessing damages in Tianhai City. This incident was substantial.”
Her years of experience helped her navigate tricky situations smoothly, minimizing any doubts.
Listening attentively, Yun Zhonghe marveled at Su Xinghe’s intelligence.
He gently patted her head: “Thank you, Chenchen, you’ve done an excellent job.”
Her body trembled when his warm, broad hand brushed her hair. That familiar touch, the comfort… she longed for his approval.
It felt like getting a father’s appreciation—a long-awaited moment.
Su Xiaoxiao felt a rush of warmth. Her heart pounded, cheeks flushed.
She couldn’t bear it: “Dad, don’t… it’s too much!”
Yun Zhonghe: “???”
Su Xinghe was a bit unstable. Years ago, she developed a crush on Yun Zhonghe, who reminded her of her father’s strict yet nurturing presence.
His appreciation stirred deep emotions. Without hesitation, she nearly lunged to snuggle into a hug.
But reason held her back: “Of course, she’s my sister.”
Yun Zhonghe continued praising: “You’re truly incredible, despite being younger, you handled this excellently. Unmatched.”
Yun Zhonghe, a family heir, lacked official Alliance connections. But Su Xinghe… she excelled naturally.
Such wisdom made Yun Zhonghe imagine a future where he led and she supported. Yet, that was unrealistic.
Yun Zhonghe couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sympathy. Forced to grow up early, she shouldn’t carry such burdens.
His hand on hers conveyed support: “You’ve done well.”
“Y-Yun Brother…”
Su Xinghe’s heart overflowed like a flood.
“Stop… stop that, Chenchen will break! Too unreal!”
Yet, the concern calmed her.
Su Xiaoxiao envied her lucky stars.
She wanted that praise too!
“Brother Yun, quickly drink the soup to warm up. It’ll lose taste if it cools.”
Su Xiaoxiao poured soup into a bowl, stirring and moving closer. She gently blew on it and fed him.
The chicken came from Tianhai City market, a special breed, expensive and good for health, bought just for this purpose.
“Brother, please have some.”
A tender voice, her serene eyes reflecting warmth.
She was suddenly more assertive.
Maybe someone thought a new Disasters Empress rose again.
“Oh… okay.”
Confused by the sudden change, Yun Zhonghe paused massaging Su Xinghe’s hand.
Su Xinghe breathed a sigh of relief.
From Su Xinghe, Yun Zhonghe faced Su Xiaoxiao, meeting with a gentle sip.
Gulp, slurp…
Su Xiaoxiao’s juice was consumed.
Tasting it, he murmured appreciatively: “Xiaoxiao, your cooking is superb! Great soup!”
Su Xiaoxiao beamed, her heart warming.
She leaned in, softly hinting.
Her long hair grazed his arm, sending a scent.
Was she asking for a head pat?
Laughing softly, Yun Zhonghe obliged gently, scratching her head.
“Heh!”
Su Xiaoxiao grinned blissfully.
