### Chapter 353: Ancestral Talisman and Talisman Seals
Yun Zhonghe felt the powerful waves of spiritual energy emanating from the barrier and couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow, that’s some serious spiritual energy! With so many barriers, even a Transformation God would have a hard time breaking through this!”
Niu Da nodded in agreement. “Exactly! Each layer can withstand even Immortal Magic. To get in, you need some special spells!”
Curious, Yun Zhonghe asked, “What kind of spells?”
Something more powerful than Immortal Magic? Now that’s intriguing!
Niu Da chuckled confidently, “It’s simple! Watch this!”
He rolled up his sleeves, showcasing his muscular arms. Planting his feet firmly, he let out a loud roar and, with bulging veins, punched the barrier with a colossal thud!
BAM! A hole was smashed right through the layers of barriers!
Yun Zhonghe and Tao Jiu’er stared with their mouths wide open, while Xia Linglong and Qing Luan took it all in stride, as if this was just another Tuesday.
Once the “door” was opened, Niu Da adjusted his robe and announced, “Behold, my special entrance-opening spell!”
“You just used brute force to make a miracle happen!” Yun Zhonghe replied, a bit dumbfounded, realizing they opened the barrier through physical means, not some advanced magical art.
But then again… it kinda made sense.
The barrier specialized in magical defenses, allowing it to withstand spells, but naturally, it was weaker against physical attacks. And of course, the clever leader of Beast Tamer Peak stationed the Minotaurs here as natural physical defense barriers!
When spellcasters came, they could use the barrier to shield themselves, but if swordsmen or body cultivators wanted in, they had to take down the Minotaur army first.
These Minotaurs weren’t just any guys; they were all at the Yuan Ying Transformation level and were naturally super strong! The punch from Niu Da not only broke the barrier but also demonstrated some serious strength techniques.
It just goes to show that while the barrier’s physical defense might be lacking, not just anyone could breach it. You had to understand how to harness strength as well.
“Quick, get inside! The barrier will heal itself soon. When you want to come out, just give me a shout, and I’ll let you out,” Niu Da urged.
Qing Luan smiled sweetly at Niu Da, “Thank you, Uncle Niu! Next time, I’ll bring you some treats!”
Niu Da beamed, “Oh wow, great! The spirit pet food you mix is amazing! The bros and I have been missing it for ages.”
Qing Luan patted her chest confidently, “You can count on me!”
With that, the group stepped into the barrier and entered the stone tower.
Inside the stone tower, a beam of radiant white light filled with the essence of the Dao enveloped everyone!
Above them, a large glowing rune floated in the air, surrounded by countless smaller Talisman Seals.
Is this the Ancestral Talisman?!
Yun Zhonghe had once tapped into the Dao and felt that the Ancestral Talisman was completely different from that experience with the Dao of the Sword. It was as if he could sense its greatness and miraculous nature but couldn’t grasp anything substantial.
It felt inert… like a lifeless object.
Indeed, the Ancestral Talisman was lifeless; it was an echo of the Dao left behind after the Dao-Integration Supreme’s demise.
It possessed the power of logical rules, but it couldn’t inspire or enlighten a cultivator. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be independent from the Heavenly Dao.
The Ancestral Talisman operated mechanically and rigidly, unlike the laws in a cultivator’s hands, which could change and develop.
But even so, in an age where the Dao-Integration Supreme was nearly mythical, the Ancestral Talisman represented top-tier strength, unparalleled in its realm.
Yun Zhonghe felt his eyes widen—this was the first time he had seen the Ancestral Talisman!
“How do I get a Summoning Talisman Seal?” Yun Zhonghe asked eagerly.
Qing Luan pointed to the multitude of floating Talisman Seals around the Ancestral Talisman. “Brother Yun, your spiritual energy must be at Initial Understanding, right? Just use your spiritual energy to catch them. As long as you’re at Initial Understanding, you can easily grab a First-Grade Talisman Seal.”
First-Grade and Second-Grade Talisman Seals are fairly easy to capture, but trying to snag a Third-Grade Talisman Seal requires a more advanced understanding, usually achievable only at Nurturing Nature.
As for a Fourth-Grade, you need to reach the Concentration stage to even attempt to catch one.
Nodding thoughtfully, Yun Zhonghe unleashed his spiritual energy towards the sea of Talisman Seals, randomly reaching out to catch one.
In an instant, a Second-Grade Talisman Seal slipped into his Sea of Consciousness!
Qing Luan’s eyes lit up. “Oh, not bad! You’re only at the peak of Foundation Establishment, but reaching Initial Understanding is quite impressive! I didn’t expect you to grab a Second-Grade Talisman Seal so easily.”
She sensed how smoothly Yun Zhonghe had captured it, realizing his spiritual energy was possibly stronger than she thought.
Feeling amused by his recent success, Yun Zhonghe reflected on the experience of snagging the Talisman Seal. “If I could snag one so easily, could I get a Third-Grade Talisman Seal if I concentrated a bit more?”
After all, a Third-Grade Talisman Seal allows you to forcibly control Golden Core level Monster Beasts!
A lightbulb went off in Yun Zhonghe’s head, and he looked at Qing Luan, “Sister Qing, can a cultivator possess multiple Summoning Talisman Seals?”
With all those Minotaurs outside, it was clear the Beast Tamer Peak’s leader had spirit pets; it meant one cultivator could own multiple Talisman Seals.
Before Qing Luan could respond, Tao Jiu’er sensed Yun Zhonghe’s intentions but kept quiet about it.
Qing Luan replied, “Well, of course! Why do you ask that, though?”
Yun Zhonghe smiled slyly, “So… can I try to catch one more?”
“Sure, no problem! The sect doesn’t limit us to just one capture. Our disciples from Beast Tamer Peak often come here for a bit of luck!” Qing Luan said enthusiastically.
Since she was a prized disciple of the Beast Tamer Peak leader, she was all for it.
She often came here herself, and when luck struck, she could even reel in a Third-Grade Seal!
With permission granted, Yun Zhonghe rolled up his sleeves, ready for round two.
This time, he activated all his Spiritual Pearls.
His spiritual energy dived into the sea of Talisman Seals, but it was so dense that he couldn’t sense anything clearly and could only blindly reach out to grab whatever.
Most of what he was feeling were just First or Second-Grade Talisman Seals, which were the most abundant.
He wasn’t interested in those!
So there he was, fishing around for what felt like ages. Three minutes passed when suddenly Yun Zhonghe sensed something heavier in the mix.
And when he tried to drag this Talisman Seal, it felt like it was trying to escape!
No doubt about it, this was a big catch!
It must be a Third-Grade Talisman Seal!
Yun Zhonghe felt it thrashing about, trying to break free from his grasp.
The Talisman Seal was wriggling in the ocean, and he strained with all his might, channeling every Spiritual Pearl to control and suppress it.
It felt as though he was hooked by a powerful fish, being dragged through the ocean’s depths. It was all too real!
