Chapter 377: Winning by Not Making Mistakes!
Comet Entertainment, Practice Room.
“Where’s Teacher Gan Yan Yu?”
Upon entering the practice room and seeing Lin Tian all alone, Mao Weiang asked in bewilderment.
The duo used to be inseparable whether in or out of competition, always seen together. To suddenly see Lin Tian here by himself made him feel quite out of sorts.
“She said she had some affairs to take care of and had to leave the city; we’re practicing today instead.”
“Important business?”
Before the words left his mouth, Mao Weiang immediately realized he might have crossed a line and quickly changed course,
“Fine.”
“Right, I’ll keep an eye on her whereabouts, so no worries.”
Lin Tian replied.
He was actually pretty bummed out.
Gan Yan Yu actually had things more important than training?!
Back when she double-teamed with Lin Tian, she was the most energetic one, making sure nobody got distracted.
Now, with this four-member dynamic squad, they’ve become lazy?
Lin Tian was hesitant but more inclined to believe Gan Yan Yu had something really important that needed her attention elsewhere.
Perhaps she finally found herself in the queue for the legendary “Pudding You’ll Regret Not Eating for the Rest of Your Life” shop in Baijing and was determined to check it out herself.
Other than that, Lin Tian couldn’t think of anything more important than playing music to her.
But fine, why not consider this as her personal downtime.
Considering the Dragon Zither Cup semifinals were still fresh in their minds and final preparations hadn’t started, the gap between the two stages seemed too tight to give her some breathing space.
In that case, Lin Tian thought, it might be good if Gan Yan Yu could just chill.
While he pondered, Lin Tian decided there was still plenty to handle. He imagined Gan Yan Yu getting the rest she needed while lining up White Junze and Mao Weiang for a grueling concert schedule!
“Senior.”
Before long,
White Junze walked in with his cello.
Mao Weiang was visibly surprised by this sight.
He expected White Junze, given last time’s events, to take a step back.
“Everyone’s here, let’s get started,” Lin Tian announced.
Murmuring in agreement, White Junze took his seat and opened his cello case.
Mao Weiang stared blankly as he did.
“What’s up with you?”
“Don’t ya wonder where Teacher Gan is these days?” Mao Weiang asked.
“Yeah, true enough.”
White Junze acknowledged.
“She had some urgent stuff and can’t make it, so we’re doing this today,” explained Mao Weiang.
“It doesn’t matter.”
White Junze shrugged off, “I’m here for the seniors, after all.”
Silence followed the remark.
Even Lin Tian couldn’t help but break the awkwardness.
This guy must be trying too hard.
His face clearly said one word —
”Laziness!”
Isn’t he supposed to notice when a teammate is missing?
But then again, everyone’s still ranked, so he probably thinks even a single player would suffice.
“Alright, let’s proceed.”
