### Chapter 0: The End (6)
==============================
The Cold Moon Witch… She doesn’t play by the rules!
She’d unleashed a massive tornado, and all that was left was to let Black Snow shred him to pieces.
So why the sudden backstab?
It was like playing with him as if he were some kind of toy.
Li Hanbo nervously touched his neck; the fresh sensation of almost getting his throat sliced was utterly horrible.
Fortunately, he had the skill to resurrect himself with tentacles whenever he wanted, which saved him from the Cold Moon Witch’s deadly grasp.
But lo and behold, the witch wasn’t done with him yet.
As the tornado kept squeezing inwards, shrinking his space to dodge,
the witch teleported right behind Li Hanbo and slice his substitute’s throat.
After dodging a couple of times, Li Hanbo suddenly realized in horror that his tentacles were dwindling.
Most of them had been exhausted resisting the tornado’s onslaught, and the few remaining were being consumed by that crazy witch.
This time, Li Hanbo was genuinely afraid.
Though there was a sense of coercion when he joined the Fallen Species, as his power grew and his lifespan exceeded that of ordinary humans, he gradually accepted his identity—almost even took pride in it!
He thought he was invincible except for his boss, the Man in Black Robe.
But suddenly, the Cold Moon Witch reappeared, easily annihilating his army and then toyed with him like a cat playing with a mouse. The sheer blow to his ego was unbearable.
“b*stard! d*e! Just d*e!”
Li Hanbo swung his remaining few tentacles, his eyes reddening with anger as he lunged at the witch in black.
“I just want to survive! Why are you pushing me?”
Lin Nan replied coldly, “Please spare me the nauseating excuse. Every living being has a survival instinct, which is fine. But you’ve forgotten you were once human! Not only did you fail to stop, but you also helped the wicked.”
Li Hanbo laughed maniacally, “Cold Moon Witch, I thought you were a wise one. Turns out you’re just another mundane person spouting ethics! Who gave me the chance to choose?
If I had a choice, hell no, I wouldn’t have stepped into this damned world! I’d rather be an ordinary person than crawl here like a wretched worm struggling for survival.
Let’s face the facts: strength determines everything.
You’re stronger, so whatever you say must be right. I’m weaker, so I’m just supposed to d*e?
If you were in my shoes, shouldn’t I just end it all when forced into being a Fallen Species?
Do Fallen Species have no right to exist?
Put away that self-righteous facade of yours! The ten thousand Fallen Species you killed were once living humans! Do they deserve d*ath just because they’ve turned into something else?”
Lin Nan looked at him coolly and suddenly sighed, “You’re right; this world has no clear right or wrong. The real culprits are those who manipulate everything from the shadows. Our mutual target is those self-righteous puppeteers. If you promise not to feast on humans anymore, I can let you go this time.”
Li Hanbo perked up, “Really?”
“A promise is a promise.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the tornado filled with black snow halted its advance, but the howling wind still made everyone tremble in fear and not dare look straight ahead.
Li Hanbo half-knelt before Lin Nan, lowered his head, saying, “I promise to do that…”
Just when Lin Nan’s attention was firmly on Li Hanbo, a dozen tentacles shimmering with a golden hue quietly emerged behind her.
“… is something that will never happen!”
Li Hanbo suddenly lunged with both hands, the golden tentacles—tough and flexible—shot toward Lin Nan from every angle.
He was supremely confident that this close-range attack would not miss.
He believed that even a drop of the Cold Moon Witch’s bl**d would elevate his power tremendously, at which point, the Man in Black Robe would bow to him, and he’d be the true ruler of the Asking Dao Continent.
But fate had a lesson in store for him. Lin Nan seemed to be psychic, spinning in mid-air, her indestructible Black Wind Sword deflected the tentacles’ assault with a series of metallic clangs.
Seeing the trouble, Li Hanbo turned to run.
But the tornado had already squeezed his escape route down to a narrow exit.
“Princess Witch, I messed up! I will change this time!”
With nowhere to run, Li Hanbo realized he had to surrender unless he wanted to be shredded by the high-speed spinning d*ath machine.
As long as he could survive, all his dignity could take a hike.
Lin Nan looked down at him coldly, “I gave you a chance, but unfortunately…”
“No, no!”
Li Hanbo cried out in despair.
But the tornado continued to mercilessly bear down on him.
Lin Nan hovered above, silently watching it all unfold.
Aside from the remaining Xiao Ai and a hundred others, a whopping three million people in Sky Sword City had slaughtered each other to create a monstrosity like Li Hanbo.
And the real mastermind, the Man in Black Robe, was the most challenging enemy she had to deal with today.
As his pawn, Li Hanbo’s life was about to come to an end.
Otherwise, given the nature of the Fallen Species, who knows how many humans would d*e at his hands in the future? Today, he had to d*e.
“Boom!”
A resounding explosion rang out, shaking the heavens and the earth.
The powerful tornado actually created a gap, and a man completely wrapped in a black robe slowly walked out.
Li Hanbo, who thought he was doomed, suddenly felt overjoyed and scrambled toward the Man in Black Robe.
“Thank you, boss, for saving me! Thank you, boss, for saving me!”
The Man in Black Robe ignored him, stepping over the bowing Li Hanbo, locking his cold gaze onto Lin Nan.
“Ran into a little problem earlier, hence the delay.
But don’t worry, I’ve set things straight, and now we can finally have a talk with my former beloved wife.”
The Man in Black Robe slowly removed his hood, revealing a face Lin Nan recognized.
She gasped in shock, “Shiyuan?”
Wait, no!
His face looked remarkably similar to Shiyuan and Evil Shiyuan, but this Shiyuan had a subtle, almost imperceptible smile, and the fire in his eyes burned with a hint of obsession.
“Indeed, I am Shiyuan. What I didn’t expect was that after nurturing a spirit for a thousand years, he still couldn’t match you and ended up being absorbed, leaving you a wedding dress.”
Good Shiyuan shook his head. “Frost North Snow, you don’t deserve this power; hand it over.”
