### Chapter 3: Chaos (4)
In the restaurant, a few suddenly intruding Fallen Species burst in. Aside from their elongated mandibles jutting out, they looked almost like normal humans. However, thanks to their recent binge on their own kind, their skin was surprisingly top-notch, and their eyes radiated an arrogance befitting someone who just got a hefty power-up.
“Hehehe…”
Upon spotting Lin Nan and Jing Feng, the Fallen Species immediately erupted into uncontrollable high-pitched laughter.
The castle had been mostly cleared out by them, and this restaurant entrance was in a rather inconspicuous spot.
Thinking it was completely empty, they kicked the door open and—surprise!—found two human women inside.
Using them as a dessert after their meal was simply ideal!
However… their eyes couldn’t help but drift over to Li Hanbo, as if one of their own had already snatched the first pick and was currently controlling the ladies.
But in the world of the Fallen Species, there’s no such thing as first come, first served.
“Bro, you’d better step aside; I might leave you a scrap to enjoy, but if you push us, you’ll join the feast too. Understand?”
The lead Fallen Species barked menacingly.
Li Hanbo smiled back and said, “You guys have no clue what calamity is heading your way, do you?”
“What?”
To these newly empowered Fallen Species, the quickest way to get under their skin was to question their strength.
Sure enough, just as Li Hanbo predicted, several Fallen Species charged forward, roaring, “Dude, stop wasting words, let’s take him down!”
The restaurant was suddenly filled with the howling gusts of the Fallen Species taking off.
But just when the sharp mandibles of one were a mere ten centimeters from Li Hanbo’s face, their forms turned into museum exhibits, each being impaled through the chest by a long tentacle that pinned them firmly in the air.
Before long, the gooey juices within their bodies were entirely drained by the tentacles, leaving them as limp, deflated sacks that slithered down to the floor.
The only Fallen Species that hadn’t dived in was quaking in his boots. Just as he thought of making a run for it, it was already too late.
Two or three tentacles wasted no time surfacing from below and pierced through his head.
“As a reward for your caution, you can d*e without pain.”
Li Hanbo licked his lips, and after draining that last Fallen Species, all the tentacles vanished at once.
“I’m truly sorry; I didn’t mean to be so rude in front of the two lovely ladies. But I feared they might disturb you, so I had no choice but to intervene. Please forgive me.”
Lin Nan calmly replied, “Li Guild Leader’s cultivation is no ordinary trick; no wonder the Fallen Species inside the castle are decreasing so swiftly. Your tentacles must have spread throughout every corner of the castle by now, huh?
Without any fuss, you’ve reaped far greater rewards than other guild leaders.
So, what will you do to us next, Guild Leader Li?”
Li Hanbo waved his hand dismissively, “Oh, no, no! By all means, Miss Lin, you’re essentially my benefactor.
My power is somewhat similar to Liu Fei’ang’s; within our territory, we gain the most significant boost. However, once we step beyond our bounds, we lose our edge.
These tentacles, impressive as they seem, can only operate within the castle’s confines.
Had it not been for Miss Lin repeatedly taking out the Storm Guild and Crazy Dragon Guild, how would these scaredy-cats have decided to band together against the Heavenly Sword Sect?
I was actually afraid they wouldn’t come! But now that they’ve stepped foot in the castle, they’ll never leave here again.
So, if you’ll allow me, I’d like to present a spectacular show for you both.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Li Hanbo vanished from sight.
In the blink of an eye, he reappeared right in front of the giant Fallen Species.
“It’s you, Li Hanbo!”
The heads of the other guilds exclaimed in unison.
“Indeed, it’s me! Since you’ve all indulged in enough delicacies, it’s time for me to collect some interest.”
A thick tentacle shot through the chest of one Fallen Species before he even had the chance to react, spouting bl**d from his mouth and nose before instantly losing consciousness.
This scene sent the nearby Fallen Species screaming, “Don’t attack! Don’t attack!”
“We just discovered Little Musashi’s at Extermination of Immortals; the Cold Moon Witch might be in town! We’re willing to serve you as your vanguard! Just give the order! If we can catch the Cold Moon Witch, even the Man in Black Robe won’t stand a chance against you!”
But Li Hanbo didn’t seem interested in listening. Countless tentacles swirled into the air, seeking out to strangle these representatives of the guilds’ greatest fighting force.
The giant Fallen Species shouted, clobbering his floating opponent with a powerful fist, “What did I say before? If we don’t unite to deal with this guy, we’re all going to d*e here!”
Faced with a d*ath threat, the guild leaders unleashed their best moves, momentarily holding their ground against Li Hanbo.
However, they never expected Li Hanbo to be this strong. If it weren’t for the giant Fallen Species’ incredible strength and absurd recovery abilities, they’d have been wiped out already, wasting all the power they painstakingly gathered.
“Run! There’s got to be a flaw in Li Hanbo’s abilities! If he were this awesome, why has he waited until now to make a move?”
Someone quickly picked up on the glaring issue.
But those tentacles wrapped around them like a tight fishing net. Even as they struggled like fish trapped in the net, they could only watch as the fisherman tightened it further, with no hope of escape.
What to do, what to do?
We don’t want to d*e!
This is probably the Man in Black Robe’s ultimate goal: to let all the Fallen Species fight it out, and in the end, the survivor would be a monstrous behemoth fueled by all the Fallen Species’ power.
What else would be left in a creature birthed from such chaos but a thirst for bl**d and the desire to grow stronger?
As the remaining Fallen Species fought fiercely for the last scraps of power,
At the entrance to the castle’s cellar,
A few wandering Fallen Species sniffed out familiar human scents and pushed against the door.
The hundreds of people hiding in the basement, hearing the creaking of the wooden door, held their breath nervously, afraid to make a sound.
They were the last batch of ordinary people left in the castle.
Perhaps the previous chaos among the Fallen Species had granted them a chance to escape and hide deep in the cellar.
But now, those blasted Fallen Species had picked up their scent and found their way to them.
Ahhh… Is it really so hard to survive as a rational being in this cursed world?
