Chapter 3: The Conclusion (9)
==============================
“Sighs of Frost North Snow’s will? Hahaha!
I am Frost North Snow, and I absolutely reject your ideology!”
Lin Nan’s voice rang out assertively, her icy eyes burning with a faint blue flame.
Good Shiyuan shrugged, “Although I don’t know how you managed to nestle in here, a poser is still just that – what qualifications do you have to replace Frost North Snow?”
Before Lin Nan could respond, the Black Wind Sword in her hand suddenly vibrated, buzzing ominously.
Had she not gripped the hilt tightly, the sword would have flown out, aiming straight for Good Shiyuan, who was not too far off.
Good Shiyuan immediately felt the sword’s overwhelming hostility.
“How odd! This Black Wind Sword was once Frost North Snow’s treasured possession, quite the spiritual artifact! How come it’s being so cozy with you today?”
Lin Nan enunciated crisply, “Because I am its master!”
Good Shiyuan waved his sleeve dramatically. “Ha! Bewitching a mere object is hardly impressive! Moreover, you still haven’t provided a reasonable explanation regarding the bet. My patience has its limits. If you continue to prattle on, don’t blame me for resorting to violence!”
Lin Nan coldly replied, “Alright, let me lay out three points.
Firstly, the Small Thousand World, as an independent space, is like the East Sea Underground Palace. Over eons, it has been absorbing the essence of heaven and earth, as well as the quintessence of the sun and moon, ultimately giving birth to intelligence.
The remarkable thing about the Small Thousand World is that it acts as a junction, like a flower’s heart from which petals extend, connecting over a dozen other small worlds. These worlds don’t communicate among themselves; the only bridge is the Small Thousand World.
When you attached yourself to Evil Shiyuan and took control of Phoenix Mountain, you somehow allowed Ling Xiaozu to traverse these small worlds. If you weren’t the master of the Small Thousand World, or if you weren’t the Small Thousand World itself, where do you get that kind of power?
Secondly, what is the purpose of the Small Thousand World?
Each small world features entirely different terrains – oceans, underground caves, land, deserts, sky islands… you name it.
It’s as if every small world is a testing ground, with various creatures tossed in to test their growth and evolution against what the observers expect.
The perfect creature these observers seek is one that possesses enormous power but is weak in character, easily manipulated.
After thousands or even tens of thousands of years of trial and error, they finally succeeded.
The small worlds teeming with tiny creatures are exactly the perfect beings the Divine Clan craves.
Yet, their only drawback, akin to the Fallen Species, is that their lineage must originate from humans. This is likely a result of the original designers seeking shortcuts to success.
After all, humans are everywhere on the continent, their ability to survive and reproduce is commendable, and their intelligence surpasses that of ordinary races, making them ideal experimental subjects.
If the Divine Clan were to discover all this, the model would surely be replicated across the continent.
This would spell disaster for the Three Races living there, akin to extermination. The Demon Race and Monster Race would be wiped out first, while the remaining humans would be used as raw material to create those perfect beings.
Once that happens, if the Divine Clan gets their way,
They will grow ever stronger. And when these creatures no longer satisfy their appetite, they might even be tempted to set their sights on the conscious Small Thousand World.
That’s something you don’t want to see. You wish to maintain the status quo,
So you made Ling Xiaozu attract the Divine Clan’s attention, muddying their judgment.
Even after the Divine Clan discovered your involvement, you swiftly escaped the Small Thousand World to eliminate suspicion.
And there you go, you succeeded! The Divine Clan temporarily dropped their focus on the Small Thousand World and turned their attention back to the continent.
The East Sea Underground Palace’s Myriad Spirits bl**d Sacrifice finished, and you promptly sensed the Small Thousand World had great potential, initiating your cultivation of the Fallen Species as the first step in your grand ambitions.
Thirdly, if I’m not mistaken, the Fallen Species also originated from small worlds. Their evolution into creatures with proboscis-like mouthparts enables them to maximize water absorption.
They hail from desert environments, right?
They are born from humans yet feed on them. If humans vanish, they would turn against each other.
You’ve clearly targeted their ability to continuously absorb and evolve, which is why you brought the pseudo-Sighs Temple out of the desert world.
Ha! Attempting to transform humans into vicious Fallen Species via the Temple’s purification—what a spicy irony.
Sky Sword City, near the Small Thousand World, became your testing ground. I suspect you want to bring creatures from the small worlds to the continent, letting them battle the Three Races. Only the strongest would survive to face the Divine Clan’s judgement day, thus ending their reign.
I must say, what you’re doing is completely bonkers.
At this rate, the Three Races might meet their demise not at the hands of the Divine Clan, but rather at the claws of small world creatures.
Even if your ultimate goal aligns with that of the Three Races, your methods are simply outrageous. Why not join forces with them to maximize the strengths of each race instead?”
Clap, clap, clap…
Good Shiyuan, with a hint of surprise, slowly applauded.
“I must admit, your intelligence and sharpness exceed my expectations. I never thought you’d narrate the events with such accuracy I nearly believed you were the real Frost North Snow! If it were her, uncovering my little tricks would be a piece of cake.”
The fervent fire in his eyes blazed ever brighter.
“The Three Races on the continent are too weak. Even the top human expert, Ling Xiaozu, can’t match Li Hanbo, let alone the Monster Race and Demon Race.
If we allow the Fallen Species to continue to thrive, in a year—not two—we will establish a new Fallen Species Empire, using it to withstand the Divine Clan’s punishment.
Moreover, the Small Thousand World is teeming with peculiar creatures, like those so-called Self-Exploding Beasts. They live in magma, lack intelligence, but are perfectly obedient and plentiful.
Mermaids in the sea are the rulers of water.
The continent’s creatures have enjoyed peace for too long; without intense battles and hostilities, there’s no possibility for growth or evolution.
If the Three Races manage to conquer the Small Thousand World, I have no objections.
Conversely, if the Small Thousand World replaces the continent to take on the judgement, ending the Divine Clan’s scheme, what’s wrong with that?
After all, the weaklings of the Three Races would eventually perish on judgement day regardless, we’re merely bringing their demise forward a little.
Is that such a crime?”
Lin Nan shot back coldly, “You don’t have the right to speak for everyone, only for yourself.”
Good Shiyuan spread his hands dramatically. “So, the world needs me. I am the real savior.”
