### Chapter 3: The Exile (9)

### Chapter 3: The Exile (9)

At this moment, Thousand Bird City was a flurry of flower rain, where the Cold Moon Witch was basking in the adoration of the masses.

The hurried members of the Heavenly Sword Sect paused on a nearby hill, their various injured disciples desperately needing treatment.

What was supposed to be a joyful visit turned into a headache when they hit a wall in Thousand Bird City. If it hadn’t been for the Sect Leader and Master Sister discovering the flaws in the enemy’s formation just in time, they would have been in even worse shape.

Luo Ying once again lost the chance to face off against the Cold Moon Witch. Feeling a mix of frustration and relief, she silently thanked her stars for not agreeing to the male character’s request to tag along—if he had come, his skills would have surely got him hurt even worse.

“Gulp, gulp…”

Downing a couple of swigs of alcohol, her cheeks started to redden, and her injuries slowly began to improve.

Ling Xiaozu, hands behind his back, gazed at the Floating City, which seemed much shorter than before, and suddenly furrowed his brows as if sensing something.

“Luo Ying, we need to leave! Now!”

“Ah… Master, the disciples just sat down to rest!”

“Go!”

Seeing Master’s overly serious face, Luo Ying knew there was no point in arguing.

The healing disciples were urged to their feet, stumbling and helping one another as they mounted their flying swords, swaying off towards the Heavenly Sword Sect.

After flying for a while, Luo Ying sidled up to Ling Xiaozu and asked in a low voice, “Master, what just happened?”

“The Floating City is radiating power capable of wiping out the entire Thousand Bird City.”

“But, Master, I didn’t see anything!”

Ling Xiaozu sighed, “Even with my level of cultivation, I only sensed a hint of energy leaking out. If I’m not mistaken, above the Floating City is a cave heaven overlapping the real world. That power likely comes from an Exile who used to be imprisoned in the forbidden area of Thousand Bird City.”

“Exile…”

Luo Ying murmured to herself.

Ling Xiaozu continued, “I can’t tell you too much right now, but one thing’s for sure— the rise and fall of the three realms are intertwined with the Exile. For example, the battle between the Monster Race and Human Race four hundred years ago…”

He paused, clearly not wishing to continue.

“I mustn’t say more, or the fate of Thousand Bird City could very well become that of the Heavenly Sword Sect.”

Luo Ying gasped, “The Exile will destroy Thousand Bird City? Just when it was saved…”

“Indeed. With the Exile’s immense power, once they break through the confines of the Small Cave Heaven, our temporary refuge could be affected.”

“And even you can’t handle the Exile, Master?”

“It’s hard to say; the odds are slim.”

This was the first time Luo Ying heard Master admit someone could be stronger than him. If it weren’t for protecting the disciples, Master would have surely faced off against the Cold Moon Witch directly, and she wouldn’t have stood a chance.

But now, faced with a yet-to-appear enemy, Master’s serious expression made Luo Ying even more curious about the Exile’s origins.

“Master, I want to stay and see the outcome for Thousand Bird City!”

Ling Xiaozu wasn’t surprised by her decision. If Luo Ying wasn’t constantly intrigued by formidable foes, she wouldn’t have reached the top of the inner sect.

“Fine, just stay safe.”

“Yes, Master!”

Luo Ying took a swig of her drink, her flying sword suddenly accelerating, drawing an arc through the air before speeding back the way they came.

At that very moment.

With Number One Exile and the Monster King moving one after the other, the Subspace followed them up towards the Floating City.

Number One realized she was still trapped, and the culprit was that Monster King pushing the prison along with her.

If she could just k*ll him, the Subspace would lose all reason to exist.

“Swish, swish, swish…”

Under her control, over twenty scorching light swords appeared beside the stationary prison.

Number One Exile didn’t say much, merely pushing her hands inwards, and those intimidating light swords flew toward the Monster King from all angles.

Desperate to keep the prison airborne, the Monster King clung tightly to a bar that resembled a sun lamp, his flesh seared to the bone, only boiling hot bones grasping the rail.

His incredible regeneration allowed his flesh to grow back quickly, but as soon as veins and bl**d vessels appeared, they would be vaporized again.

Only he understood the immense pain and torment he was enduring.

As the light swords rained down, the Monster King couldn’t just sit there.

He swung the bar left and right, trying to dodge the incoming swords.

But their speed was too fast; in the blink of an eye, they slipped through the gaps, “Pshh, pshh” piercing into the Monster King’s body from every angle.

At that moment, he looked like a giant hedgehog, bending over and staggering back several steps, his mouth instantly burnt through by the light swords, bl**d vessels sealing up.

Yet the Monster King still spat out a mouthful of bl**d, which splattered into the air.

The bl**d mist fell slowly, inadvertently penetrating the confines of the Subspace and mixing with the pink petal rain of the main space, dyeing it a seductive red.

Bathing in the flower rain, Lin Nan had no idea that in the neighboring space, a man was struggling to keep her alive.

To prevent Number One Exile from entering the main space, he endured the pain of over ten light swords piercing through him, somehow standing straighter instead of collapsing.

“Crack, crack…”

Number One Exile’s right hand gripped his neck tightly, causing deep finger marks to appear on the surface.

The Monster King was nearly out of breath.

“Will… will he d*e?” Fu Yetian asked softly.

Lilith responded, “It’s hard to say. If it were the Monster King’s peak, he could survive being sliced to pieces. But… right now, well…”

Fu Yetian understood her implication.

Currently, the Monster King had only merged two of his clones; his power wasn’t at its peak. So if Number One Exile was determined, she might really be able to snuff out the Monster King’s life.

But it seemed Lilith didn’t have any intention of helping—perhaps sensing Fu Yetian’s doubts, she shrugged and said, “What good would it do for me to go? Why don’t you give it a shot?”

Fu Yetian shook his head repeatedly.

After all, the Cold Moon Witch had almost ruined his plans; he was actually hoping that this thick-lipped woman would take out that cheating couple, so he wouldn’t have to deal with extra trouble later.

Just as the Monster King’s knees buckled, dropping him to the ground, seemingly at the end of his rope, an unusual event occurred.

Two wisps of faint green smoke suddenly emerged from his nostrils, transforming into two identical boys.

One of the boys pulled a massive iron rod out of nowhere and—“BANG!”—smashed it against Number One Exile’s head.

P.S. Finally, the two little darlings have appeared…
