### Chapter 4: Fallen Species (1)
==============================
In the cold, silent Sky Sword City, the room buzzed with a maddening chorus of mosquitoes flapping their wings.
Looking around, the players with their grotesque mandibles shimmered with a hint of madness in their eyes. If it weren’t for Song Chuan stepping in to keep them in check, they would have likely pounced on the delicious meal laid out before them.
“Hehehe, can’t your legs move? Ha! On the way back, I’ve been constantly releasing anesthetic right next to you!”
Song Chuan rubbed his hands together like a fly, eager to take the first bite of the feast.
Lin Nan stood still.
She felt as if she had sunk into molasses; her legs felt like they were filled with lead, and her usual lightness was nowhere to be found.
“Become a part of me, my dear Miss Lin. You and Ah Ling will get along just fine; you’re both my favorites. Hehehe…”
With his mandibles glimmering with a golden light, Song Chuan inched closer to Lin Nan. Behind him, countless ordinary mandibles dripped with anticipation, waiting for their boss to finish the first taste before they swarmed in for their share of the exquisite beauty.
“Clang…”
A piece of Black Snow appeared out of nowhere and struck Song Chuan’s mandibles with a sharp sound.
Lin Nan’s pupils widened.
To her surprise, the diamond-hard Black Snow couldn’t even slice through his mandibles.
“Hahaha! Didn’t expect you to have a trump card, but unfortunately, I’m the very first Fallen Species on Asking Dao Continent, blessed by the gods! I don’t even glance at old players or NPC cultivators.
Little beauty, don’t struggle, it’s useless!”
Song Chuan relished the look of despair in his target’s eyes, a perfect appetizer before his delightful meal.
As expected, Lin Nan feigned calmness, but her body instinctively shrank back.
What a shame! In the old days, he would’ve never dreamed of killing such an exquisite ice queen. He would’ve kept her around for some quality training until he got bored.
But right now, he desperately needed her bodily fluids to balance out the excess male bl**d in his system.
Yin and Yang balance, even Fallen Species aren’t exceptions!
He even had a feeling that if he drained her, his power might jump to another level.
No more talk!
His golden-glowing mandibles lunged for her slender neck, thrusting forward with gusto.
In that moment, he was ecstatically anticipating that sweet liquid coursing from her neck into his mandibles.
Ah… this was the happiest thought in the world.
“Thud!”
It was the dull sound of mandibles meeting flesh.
Haha, it’s happening!
Song Chuan happily closed his eyes and began to s*ck.
But a few seconds later, something felt off.
Why did this juicy lady taste like yesterday’s old shoe compared to the previous empty husks he’d drained? She felt like a frail old lady on her last legs—no flavor at all!
Opening his eyes, he was immediately consumed by fury.
The mandibles hadn’t pierced Lin Nan but rather a decaying, stinking old woman’s husk that had somehow managed to wedge itself between him and Lin Nan.
“Darn it!”
Song Chuan swore while trying to pull his mandibles out of the putrid carcass.
Unexpectedly, what he thought was a flimsy skin turned out to have a grip like a bear trap, refusing to let go.
Desperate, he thought about thrusting his sharp mandibles through the skin. Who cares if something else was wedged in there? As long as it didn’t stop him from enjoying his meal!
But the skin somehow came to life, wrapping its arms around his waist and locking him into place.
“b*stard! Why are you just standing there? Come help me!”
The fallen species yelled, rushing in like a tide. Those with wings took to the air, while the others crawled frantically on the floor.
In the chaos, not one of them heard the thunderous roar from above,
“Dual Wield! Sky Dominance Slash!”
An X-shaped beam of light sliced downwards, and the unsuspecting fallen species were swiftly torn into four neat pieces by Little Musashi’s dual blades, their mangled limbs bursting with a foul, bloody spray.
“Master, sorry, sorry, I got lost for a bit!”
Lin Nan shrugged, having secretly summoned Little Musashi just before entering the warehouse, a distance of only about fifty meters between them.
To her surprise, Little Musashi showed up just in time.
Well, better late than never.
As Song Chuan struggled, he cried out frantically, “Another girl! Don’t let them get away!”
Little Musashi’s dual blades glinted ominously in the flames.
Sadly, the fallen species, entranced by her voluptuous figure, forgot all about their fear of d*ath and charged in with wild yelps.
“Dual Wield! Gale Splitter Formation!”
A tornado erupted from nowhere, tearing the warehouse roof clean off. The winged and non-winged creatures were flung away, tracing arcs across the ink-black sky.
Whether they’d live or d*e now depended on sheer luck.
“Little Musashi! Why did you create such a huge tornado? Didn’t you remember the master was right here?”
Jing Feng scolded angrily.
Little Musashi waved her hands dismissively. “Sorry, sorry…It’s a habit, I got carried away.”
Jing Feng supported Lin Nan while dispelling the anomalous state.
Indeed, Lin Nan had fallen prey to the tricks of the fallen species.
Song Chuan’s anesthetic was truly bizarre; her mind was clear, but her body refused to move below the neck. If she couldn’t summon her character card, she genuinely might not make it out alive today.
But fortunately, she had double insurance.
“b*stard! Let me go! Let me go!”
On the other side, Song Chuan was still tightly bound by that husk, severely hampering his movements. However, it also fortuitously shielded him from Little Musashi’s unleashed tornado.
Lin Nan sighed, “Do you know who she is?”
Song Chuan thrashed, unable to believe that this seemingly solitary girl player had two powerful women lurking behind her.
At that moment, he just wanted to bolt.
Yet, the once-decayed skin felt like it had come alive, clinging to him for dear life.
“Let go of me! Let go! b*stard! Who the heck are you?!”
“She’s your girlfriend.”
Song Chuan froze.
His form trembled, then he shrieked, “No way, that’s impossible!”
Yet, as he screamed, his gaze involuntarily fell on the right shoulder of that husk. If she was his girlfriend, she should have a mole there—he knew it well.
“Smack…”
His legs turned to jelly, and he crumpled to the ground, voice tinged with a hint of a whimper, “Ah Ling, Ah Ling, I was forced! Really… Waaa… Don’t blame me, I didn’t want this either!
Yes, it’s him, he made me do this!
At the time, I already thought of dying with you; waaa… I never imagined things would escalate to this point.”
Lin Nan regarded him deeply and asked, “Who is that man?”
Song Chuan sobbed, “He said his name is Exile.”
