**Chapter 5: Epic Brawl (4)**

Chapter 5: Epic Brawl (4)

==============================

“Wahaha…”

“Mwahahaha…”

Countless Fallen Species floated above the Main Peak, their irritatingly sharp laughter echoing through the air, twisted faces grinning maniacally. Their exaggerated jaws trembled with each cackle, and their oversized dragonfly-like wings fluttered behind them. They looked like hell’s demons, and even before the first punch was thrown, the surviving Heavenly Sword Sect Disciples were already feeling the pressure – stress levels skyrocketing!

The atmosphere at the Main Peak was as quiet as a graveyard.

Most people had plopped down, meticulously polishing their weapons during the last moments delineated by Li Hanbo’s rules.

This was the last segment of their lives, folks!

Though it was hard to accept, here they were, in sheer determination mode, ready to face their fate.

What’s more, Li Hanbo’s earlier suggestion to surrender had left a massive stain on their pride. They needed to bathe in bl**d and fire to prove their loyalty to the Heavenly Sword Sect.

Just as tension filled the air,

An explosion resonated from above, followed by a high-pitched yelp, and everyone’s heads turned in confusion.

What? Were outsiders really trying to storm in?

But the Small Thousand World only had the Main Peak left! The rest were likely hiding under boulders, thanks to the self-exploding beasts’ carnage! How could anyone still be alive?

Puzzled thoughts whirled around as nearly everyone looked up, narrowing their eyes at two figures on flying swords crashing into the formation of Fallen Species in the distance.

“Dark Light Cherry Blossom Slash!”

With a name they recognized, torrents of electric energy blazed through, reducing nearly a hundred Fallen Species blocking the way into charred remains.

Countless pink cherry blossoms showered down like confetti, and if anyone touched them, poof! They disappeared into thin air.

“Master Sister! It’s Master Sister!”

“Master Sister has come to save us! Yay!”

“Sniff… Master Sister is still alive! We’re saved!”

That move was Master Sister Luo Ying’s signature technique! Coupled with her flowy pink dress and the recognizable cheers, there was no mistaking it!

A Male Character was hot on Luo Ying’s heels, dutifully handling attacks from behind.

The duo charged in at lightning speed, targeting the awkward gap between two groups of Fallen Species.

Their surprise attack struck with precision; the Fallen Species hadn’t even begun to mount a defense before they were through!

In no time, a horde of furious Fallen Species was hot on their trail.

They swarmed like locusts, relentless in trying to snag the last scraps of crops in the field.

But Luo Ying wasn’t about to let them have an easy meal! Electric sparks exploded behind her from the Dark Light Sword, keeping the fiends at bay.

“Quick! Help Master Sister!”

Everyone had forgotten the rumors of Master Sister bearing the title of ‘killer of teachers.’ Her long-standing fame ignited a tiny spark of hope in their hearts.

In this desperate moment, dozens leaped forward to support Luo Ying and the Male Character.

Just as the two sides were about to clash in a chaotic brawl, something bizarre happened—the Fallen Species suddenly halted their pursuit, sealing off the Main Peak even tighter, practically shaking in their boots at the thought of anyone escaping like that!

Wang Qianshan, standing atop the Grand Hall, felt a wave of excited emotions surge within him.

With the other Elder’s gone, the arrival of such a heavyweight warrior like Luo Ying was music to his ears!

As for the teacher-killing rumors? Well, those were still under investigation, so no verdict yet.

Besides, she had plenty of chances to escape but voluntarily threw herself back in the thick of it. That in itself proved she wasn’t someone to betray her own for glory.

With Luo Ying’s reinforcements, what once seemed like a total dead end now had a glimmer of hope.

Wang Qianshan was just about to step forward to greet Luo Ying when, out of nowhere, several swift sword glimmers came flying in from behind and the sides.

“Ha! Just the ones I was waiting for!”

Wang Qianshan turned, swiftly sending one would-be attacker flying with a kick, then he magically caught the two others trying to stab him from the side.

He was dying to see who was responding to Li Hanbo so quickly, and he wouldn’t mind sending these trespassers straight to the afterlife.

“Ha!”

With a mighty shout from his dantian, swirling energy wrapped around him, dragging out the hidden traitors like a magician pulling rabbits out of a hat.

“Who dares to ambush this old man!”

Wang Qianshan might not recall their names, but he recognized them the moment they appeared; they were indeed Heavenly Sword Sect Disciples.

“Disrespectful scoundrels, you think trying to offer my head to the enemy will get you anywhere? Heh, give up on that thought!”

The frightened traitors squealed, “Elder, we’re sorry! We were momentarily bewitched! We swear we won’t do it again!”

“Too late for regrets!”

With a powerful pull, he yanked them close like a vacuum.

“Li Hanbo, take notes! This is the fate of traitors!”

Wang Qianshan raised his hands above their heads and, with a sickening crunch, he understood he’d definitely turned their skulls to mush. No saving them now!

Without so much as a glance back, he let go.

The last one remaining was now on his knees, banging his head against the floor like a chef pounding garlic.

“Elder, I’m sorry! Please spare me!”

Wang Qianshan shook his head. “Some mistakes can’t be undone, even with an apology.”

Just then, just as Luo Ying broke through the encirclement and landed among the cheering crowd, she suddenly shouted, “Elder, watch out!”

What?

Wang Qianshan’s heart raced, but before he could fully process it, searing pain shot through his abdomen!

He looked down to see two daggers deeply lodged in his side.

And the culprits were none other than the very two he had just dispatched!

“No… how is this possible?” Wang Qianshan staggered forward, dizzy.

“Haha, we brothers have two lives! Why the heck should we fear an old geezer like you?”

The leader shouted, “Enough talking! Let’s scram!”

“d*mn, what a waste of a free pass to live, how annoying!” the other two players grumbled.

To ensure Wang Qianshan’s demise, the leader delivered a finishing blow to his neck before rocketing off on their flying swords.

As they ascended, they yelled, “Li Hanbo, we’ve killed Wang Qianshan, you better keep your promise!”

Cough cough…

bl**d spewed from Wang Qianshan’s mouth.

His vision was blurring, but he still trembled to lift the golden flag beneath him, pushing it firmly into the ground.

Well then, might as well make my exit first.

*Cough cough… Master, fellow disciples, I haven’t let you down. I’ve guarded the Heavenly Sword Sect until now.

It’s your turn now, Luo Ying…

He shivered as he glanced at the approaching pink figure, tears in her eyes, whispering softly.

P.S: Three updates today.
