Chapter 5: Exile (1)

==============================

On the wasteland outside the Ground City.

A gigantic beast lumbered forward on its four limbs, while Fu Yetian, with a stern expression, stood firmly on its continuously rolling neck, arms crossed over his chest.

Beside the beast, dozens of spiders of varying sizes danced on their delicate legs, spitting and reeling silk threads with a grace that turned their journey into a playful game.

Perhaps due to holding a massive chunk of dirt in its mouth for too long, the beast wasn’t feeling too great. After distancing itself from Thousand Bird City,

before Fu Yetian could give any orders, the beast shook its head and halted abruptly, followed by a resounding “Wah!” as it expelled the forbidden room from its maw.

A heap of corpses, on the verge of being liquefied by saliva, tumbled out alongside the dirt. The spider girls screamed in unison, covering their mouths and noses in disgust.

The smell was simply unbearable!

Fu Yetian raised an eyebrow but didn’t blame it.

After all, this was part of his backup plan.

Successfully leaving the forbidden area with the contents intact was already a monumental achievement.

As for the final fate of Thousand Bird City, it was beyond his concern. However, upon seeing the Floating City safe and sound in the distance, he let out a sigh of relief.

No matter what, the Nightmare Beast was his ticket from the East Sea, and that Cold Moon Witch had just patted him on the back. Without the Nightmare Beast, the fate of Thousand Bird City was too ghastly to contemplate.

Quickly, Fu Yetian’s gaze shifted to the circular room that plummeted heavily to the ground.

The transparent incubation chambers made of hard jade had a decent quality. Inside lay a dozen people, none of whom had suffered any decomposition from the beast’s saliva.

In stark contrast, the exposed monsters and the ten from Thousand Bird City were already reduced to skins, their muscular tissue inside turned into liquid goo for the beast’s digestion.

“Qing Yi, Zi Yi! You two arrange to transport these incubation chambers to Cangyan City in a scattered manner. Be sure to maintain secrecy along the way; even one mistake will cost you your heads!”

“Yes, my lord!”

The two young women, dressed in green and purple respectively, knelt before Fu Yetian, accepting the command.

Under their direction, the spider girls prepared to detach the incubation chambers from the forbidden area with tough silk threads.

The Ji Shen had already prepped a dozen giant spiders, just waiting to swallow the chambers once they were separated, speeding through the Chaos Forest, over the Great Snow Mountain, across the Great Desert, and finally reaching Cangyan City, a thousand miles away.

In Fu Yetian’s master plan,

as long as more than eight incubation chambers made it to their destination, they would consider it a completed mission.

Detaching the first two chambers went off without a hitch.

Watching the two spiders vanish into the wilderness, Fu Yetian nodded slightly.

But then, the unexpected happened.

As the spider girls worked to cut the third incubation chamber, the body lying inside, supposedly unconscious, suddenly opened its eyes.

The spider girls were startled.

Qing Yi and Zi Yi were still urging them to hurry.

But at that very moment, a faint white light enveloped the human body.

A chilling premonition struck Fu Yetian.

“Run!”

He shouted.

But it was too late.

A blinding light erupted like a miniature nuclear explosion.

“Boom!”

The nearby unsuspecting spider girls were instantly engulfed by the light. When it faded, there wasn’t even a trace left.

“Woo… Qing Yi! Qing Yi!”

Zi Yi wailed, clutching Qing Yi’s remains.

It turned out that at the moment of explosion, Qing Yi had pushed Zi Yi down below her to shield her from the searing light, not even leaving a farewell before turning to ash.

Fu Yetian couldn’t afford to feel sad; instead, he witnessed a slender figure emerge from the dissipating light.

There she stood, with a somewhat androgynous appearance, curly hair, thick lips, utterly n*ked, each muscle sculpted perfectly, particularly her thunderous thighs bursting with explosive power.

With each step, the pressure she exerted grew stronger.

The beast, which had been resting behind Fu Yetian, whimpered at her sight, turning tail and fleeing before Fu Yetian could issue a command.

The surviving spider girls scattered in panic, not daring to linger.

Fu Yetian stepped back slightly, utterly shocked.

No doubt, she must be one of the twelve. Though he had no clue how she regained consciousness,

one thing was crystal clear: he was not her match.

“You killed my sister; I shall have revenge! I shall have revenge!”

With a sudden transformation, Zi Yi morphed into a half-human, half-spider form, unleashing her prized slicing silk at the woman.

Fu Yetian, furious, genuinely considered kicking her away.

Your sister died for you, and you dare go after d*ath yourself!

Son of a—

The n*ked woman didn’t even need to wait for the silk to approach; with a mid-air grasp, she seized Zi Yi by the neck, eliciting painful “uh-uh” sounds from her.

Fu Yetian quickly summoned his flying sword, aiming for her eyes.

But to his utter disbelief, her eyes merely glared, and his long-time companion sword burst into flames, vanishing completely.

Taking advantage of her distraction, Fu Yetian lunged toward Zi Yi, breaking the restriction just in time to give her a chance to recover.

Zi Yi instantly shrank to the size of a thumb and busily burrowed into the ground, disappearing from sight.

The entire chaotic scene was now left with just the n*ked woman and Fu Yetian, alongside two incubation chambers that had been flung far away in the explosion, their surfaces charred black—likely the occupants inside had turned to ashes.

“Who on earth are you?”

Fu Yetian realized he couldn’t escape her attack range and decided to calm down and ask.

The woman shot him a cold glance,

raising her hands to conjure a flurry of grass blades that wrapped tightly around her vital parts.

She clearly had no intention of answering. With a slicing gesture in the air, bl**d spurted from Fu Yetian’s neck, and he collapsed backward.

Without a second glance at his body, she leaped away like a cannonball towards Thousand Bird City.

After she had left for a moment,

Fu Yetian, frozen in place, finally managed to sit up, clutching his neck.

A precious life-saving charm turned to ashes just like that.

He squinted towards the direction the woman had gone, his heart swirling with shock like a tempest.

Vaguely, he had pieced together an answer, forming a complete picture from what he initially thought.

It seemed this world was indeed not what most people imagined.

The truth was only held by a lucky few, and that was no lie.

P.S. Please vote! I’m almost overtaken by the one behind me. Lunch is served!
