……
When Little Musashi saw the endless Cold Value notifications flashing across her retinas, she knew she had struck gold.
Only players, who love to congregate, could tune into a live stream in this game.
Sure, even if they couldn’t contribute Cold Value by watching, their discussions would generate a decent amount of it.
After all, from hearing the name “Extermination of Immortals” for the first time, their feelings would be a bit less intense. Still, a drop in the ocean adds up.
Not to mention, with so many players out there, a few rounds of this could really pile up.
As for Strong Brother and Cold Little Rain, she felt she had already squeezed the juice out of them.
I mean, throwing out such jaw-dropping lore is bound to shock anyone who hears it.
Now she had some serious business to attend to.
The Ji Shen organization showing up here could only mean trouble.
She had never been a fan of Ji Shen, especially after that incident at the Heavenly Sword Sect when Ru Yu indirectly led to her near demise.
Her original plan was to let her male character train and level up at the Heavenly Sword Sect while she chilled in the Chaos Forest.
But Ji Shen’s sudden appearance had thrown her entire scheme into chaos.
Not only was her male character wrongfully imprisoned, but all the immortal factions had their eyes on her female character.
If it weren’t for her good fortune that the Heavenly Sword Sect and Thousand Bird City hadn’t found her hiding spot yet, she could very well be like a stray dog, running for her life and possibly losing it all.
And as the instigator, Ji Shen had to face the consequences.
Plus, maybe she could squeeze out a little more Cold Value from Strong Brother and Cold Little Rain.
So heading to Mirror Mountain, she was determined to confront Ji Shen head-on.
……
“Strong Brother, you absolutely cannot let this wild loli escape!”
“No matter what, we have to find a way to lure her to the nearest town, so we can arrive in groups to watch!”
“What if the Demon-Slaying Squad that Little Musashi is part of is filled with beauties? Our happiness in the latter half of life relies on you!”
“Don’t get ahead of yourself! A level twenty-five noob wanting to join Extermination of Immortals? Even their janitors are probably stronger than you!”
The players were as cheerful as ever.
But at this moment, Strong Brother and Cold Little Rain standing in front of Little Musashi felt the pressure.
Sure, Little Musashi was formidable.
If it were just her alone, fine.
But lo and behold, she was backed by a huge organization, not to mention many powerful experts lurking in the shadows.
That meant Little Musashi came with her own intimidation aura, making it hard for everyday folks to dare oppose her.
Just imagining the secrets Little Musashi just spilled spreading like wildfire through his live stream into the ears of players across the continent sent a chill down Strong Brother’s spine.
And considering some players had pretty decent relations with NPCs, this could escalate quickly.
A “whisper” here and a “gossip” there, and before long, everyone might know the juicy secrets of Extermination of Immortals!
As the instigator, wasn’t he basically signing his own d*ath warrant?
If Little Musashi caught wind of this, he’d be toast; potentially becoming a target hunted to the ends of the game world.
Realizing this, Strong Brother felt a shiver run through him, regretting not listening to Cold Little Rain’s advice earlier.
Even out of sheer curiosity, he could have closed the live stream to inquire more safely.
Now, his future was fraught with danger.
Cold Little Rain gave him a sidelong glance and muttered, “Now you’re scared, huh?”
Strong Brother sighed, “A little, yes. I didn’t anticipate that beneath this supposedly orthodox fantasy game was such a rich lore. Gotta hand it to the planners, they’re genius!”
“What do we do now?”
“Let’s stick close to Little Musashi. If we can help her in any way, we’ll do our utmost. Even if she starts catching on later on, maybe she’ll let us off the hook out of sentiment.”
“Uh… I guess that’s all we can do.”
Little Musashi had her back to them, hands resting on the sheaths at her sides.
A gentle breeze tousled her high ponytail, making it float like fluffy cotton candy against the backdrop of the light, accentuating her slim figure.
Any guy looking would probably have their heart doing somersaults.
“Things are too dangerous ahead; we should part ways here. Farewell, may we meet again.”
Without turning back, Little Musashi waved her hand and walked ahead.
If her guess was right, Dog Head Strong Brother wouldn’t miss the chance to boost his popularity; even if that Small Cave Heaven was a perilous fire and kn*fe zone, he’d be stubbornly tagging along.
Sure enough, it wasn’t long before she heard the footsteps of the two trailing behind her.
“Little Musashi, while we may not be of much help, I know some support spells, and Little Rain has some healing spells—maybe they’ll come in handy?”
Little Musashi halted and turned her head, her expression serious.
“How many people does Ji Shen have? Are there experts? Right now, no one knows. If I get trapped by the enemies… I won’t be able to protect you…”
Strong Brother quickly interjected, “We live and d*e by fate, and success or failure is up to Heaven! Our lives are already saved by you, so returning it is the least we can do.”
Little Musashi seemed a bit touched by Strong Brother’s words, her big eyes sparkling in a way that would make countless fans swoon.
“Fine, my master once told me that martial arts is an art of living through d*ath; without the resolve to face d*ath, one must surely perish from their own cowardice.
In that case, I won’t persuade you otherwise.”
Strong Brother discreetly gave Cold Little Rain an ‘OK’ hand sign.
She rolled her eyes, clearly indicating he was once again deceiving this pure and kind girl, true to his scumbag nature.
“If the opportunity arises, I would like to invite you to our town for a visit, if that’s alright?”
Strong Brother couldn’t help but ask.
Little Musashi turned around and said, “Let’s talk about it after we all survive.”
In the live stream,
“Did you all just see that moment she turned around? It was totally badass, right?!”
“Ah, no wonder she’s my second wife! Every move screams queen!”
“Shut it! Delusional over there! Little Musashi is clearly a confused yet powerful beauty—get with the program!”
“Ahh, the Demon-Slaying Squad captain has to be an enchanting seductress! Curves in all the right places, wearing tight leather!”
And just as the trio led by Little Musashi was heading toward their destination,
the entire hillside suddenly began to shake violently.
Strong Brother exclaimed, “It’s the Small Cave Heaven! The entrance has opened!”
