Everyone Thinks I’m the Villainous NPC Boss – Chapter 531

Chapter 6: A New Era (7)

==============================

“Hehe, this woman sure has her tricks!”

Fu Yetian stood with his hands behind his back on a high spot in the city, looking down at the panicked residents of Ocean City fleeing for their lives.

He’d thought that the recent hiding of Ji Shen and the Demon Race would make their opponent—the Special Operations Bureau—lower their guard, thinking all was calm.

But to his utter disbelief, the Bureau Director seemed to be three steps ahead, suspecting that those five gigantic beasts had been unleashed by that woman as a means to pressure Ocean City and force the civilians to evacuate.

One couldn’t help but admit that, from the current situation, this move was indeed effective.

“If we don’t speed up our plan, we might run out of usable energy sources,” Fu Yetian glanced at Lady Rong Ji.

Lady Rong Ji, chewing gum, sauntered over to Fu Yetian in a form-fitting black off-the-shoulder skirt paired with tempting black stockings and heels. Anyone who saw her would never guess that just a few days ago, she was a completely out-of-touch ancient lady with no modern fashion sense.

Seeing her in such revealing attire, Fu Yetian furrowed his brows.

But now was not the time to criticize her taste—his plan needed her assistance.

“Lady Rong Ji, how’s the preparation on your end?”

“Of course, I’m good to go! I’ve got everything almost ready. Just waiting on Eric to get his act together.”

“Great, no matter what, we have to start by six tonight. I’ll go supervise Eric in person; we’re running out of time.”

Lady Rong Ji didn’t seem done playing in this Small World—its allure was irresistible to her.

Any woman would be hard-pressed to resist the temptations of reality concerning looks, decor, clothing, and makeup.

Looks like revisiting this delightful place would have to wait for another opportunity.

In the large air raid shelter under the city center park, the Little Demons had been hiding here for the past couple of days. Under Fu Yetian’s command, they used whatever materials they had to construct a pool about the size of a basketball court and roughly a meter deep.

Lady Rong Ji’s Heart-eating Worms were limited in number; in two days, they’d managed to summon fewer than five hundred human puppets.

At this moment, however, they were already in pieces, their bl**d pooling in a bloodbath.

The bodies were tossed to the Little Demons as food; to the Monster Race, humans were no different from pigs or dogs, so the tearing apart didn’t carry an ounce of guilt.

However, the amount of bl**d was nowhere near enough for Fu Yetian’s secret art; he needed more fresh bl**d.

Unfortunately, Lady Rong Ji’s Heart-eating Worms had been fully utilized, leaving only a few Mother Worms packed with eggs.

To meet Fu Yetian’s needs, she found a few rooms in the air raid shelter and started feeding them corpses.

Once fed, the Mother Worms rapidly expanded in size, much like inflated balloons filling entire rooms.

But this quick fix would take at least two days to bear fruit. Though each Mother Worm could summon millions of lower-level Heart-eating Worms in a short time, they could only maintain that for about two hours before fizzling out.

Thus, Fu Yetian originally planned to unleash these Heart-eating Worms in the dead of night to quickly accumulate strength in the bl**d pool and engulf all of Ocean City.

However, Lin Nan’s unexpected interruption nearly led to his plan’s downfall.

Fortunately, there were still some residents in the city and nearly ten thousand troops remaining. However, if he didn’t act soon, with the Ocean City government continuously evacuating people, all his previous efforts would be completely in vain.

As the sun set,

Fu Yetian, returning from the underground tunnel to the air raid shelter, began executing his plan.

Lady Rong Ji covered her nose, visibly displeased with the odor he brought with him.

Unfazed, Fu Yetian said, “Let’s get started.”

“Splash…”

The engorged Mother Worms released a rapid rush of gas, and countless eggs floated into the air like dandelion seeds.

In an instant, the sky over half of Ocean City was filled with a swarm of black eggs.

They were incredibly lightweight and tiny, easily carried by the wind.

Due to their low level, they only worked when landing on exposed skin.

But they started in the millions; even in fully closed rooms, they could infiltrate through the tiniest cracks, advancing without notice.

Lin Nan, patrolling the skies above the city, keenly noticed the sudden influx of black particles in the air.

What on earth were these?

After a moment’s hesitation, Lin Nan promptly ordered the troops to retreat outside the city.

Li Cheng was puzzled and was about to question the situation. However, when he saw the countless tiny eggs floating like grains of rice in the air, he thought better of it and quickly ordered a retreat.

But at that very moment, chaos ensued.

A gust of wind surged, accelerating the eggs’ movements.

Several soldiers hadn’t made it into the armored vehicles when a swarm of eggs rushed in, some even slipping down their collars.

Once those eggs touched skin, they burrowed in with a vengeance, causing the soldiers to roll on the ground in agony.

Others nearby tried to help, but Li Cheng stopped them mid-air.

“No one gets out of the vehicle without my command!”

Li Cheng repeatedly threw out sonic booms, scattering the airborne eggs.

However, when he reached the fallen, screaming soldiers, he was taken aback as they suddenly stood up straight, moving with stiff, zombie-like precision toward some destination in the city.

Not just those few soldiers,

Li Cheng jumped atop a tall building to observe a terrifying sight:

a stream of people from all directions converged toward a single point, as if the remaining population of Ocean City was under some kind of spell.

He knew all too well it was the swarm of black eggs causing this.

A wave of dread washed over him; thankfully, since the monster rampage, the city had been evacuating its population. If everything had stayed the same, almost the entire city would have been doomed.

He could hardly fathom the disaster of the city being wiped out in an instant.

This illustrated that the Bureau Director’s insistence on evacuating civilians was indeed far-sighted.

Had Zhao Nanyang listened to the Bureau Director’s advice sooner, they’d have had more time to evacuate more people.

Li Cheng wanted to follow the throng of people, but the countless incoming eggs made him hesitate.

d*mn it, the enemy captured so many humans; what on earth were they planning to do?

Meanwhile, Lin Nan swung her fiery longsword, turning the eggs within a five-meter radius around her into ashes.

She felt the urgency; once these zombie-like humans reached their destination, everything would be irrevocably lost.

They must be stopped!
