Everyone Thinks I’m the Villainous NPC Boss – Chapter 541

Chapter 6: New Era (17)

==============================

“Lin Nan, I’ve tolerated you for long enough!”

Ouyang Le seemed to have totally forgotten that they were in a shaky air raid shelter, with the ultimate boss soaking in a pool of bl**d, sucking up power like a thirsty vampire.

His hateful gaze stabbed sharply at the stern face of Organization No. 1.

“Hah, tolerated me for long? You might want to consider whether you can handle the reputation of an ancient second-rate!”

Indeed, this world was just that unfair. People only remembered the first; it was only the first that could snag the best resources and status. Aside from that, being second or not qualifying was basically the same—both would vanish from people’s memories in no time anyway. Why bother remembering?

Ouyang Le gritted his teeth. “I can’t believe it, after all these years, you’ve become such a smooth talker!”

Lin Nan smirked, “I heard you’ve wanted to publicly showcase the Special Operations Bureau for a while now, grabbing worldwide attention and achieving social recognition as the celebrity director.

Too bad the organization has repeatedly shot down your plans, even gave you a warning that you’d be kicked out if you kept causing trouble.

You’ve now raised the white flag and given up hope.

But what you didn’t expect is that I became the star of Ocean City, continuously splashed across the media.”

You could practically see the steam coming out of Ouyang’s ears. “You enraged me! I can’t understand why the organization would go against the norm to support you like this.

I’m just here to tell you a fact: I’m stronger than you, and that’s why the organization backs me.

Because I only need one person to handle everyone from the training camp, including you. Do you believe it?”

Ouyang Le’s laughter bordered on madness. “I don’t believe it! No way!”

As he cackled, five arrows suddenly appeared in his hands, each one coated in frosty energy.

“d*e! d*e!”

“It’s because you’ve been standing in my way that I feel so stifled and unappreciated!

Whenever someone mentions me, they can’t help but refer to that girl who defeated me years ago. Hah, do I owe you that?”

The five arrows shot toward Lin Nan, targeting various vital points.

Surprisingly, Lin Nan showed no intention of dodging. She stood there, eyes locked on him, ready to embrace the chilling energy capable of freezing half of Ocean City.

“Want to d*e? Hah! Fantastic! If you go down, I’ll be the only one left to represent the Bureau!”

Ouyang Le’s laughter abruptly halted.

What unfolded before him was too shocking to believe.

“This… how could this be… when did you…”

Five swirling black snowflakes had appeared in front of Lin Nan, perfectly blocking the incoming arrows.

No matter how desperately those frost-covered arrows pushed forward, they were pinned firmly by the black snow, as if they were facing an insurmountable barrier.

“Boom!”

Ouyang Le suddenly thrust his hands forward. With his movement, the arrows exploded in mid-air.

A wave of freezing energy instantly enveloped Lin Nan.

“Hah, you didn’t see this coming, did you? Don’t worry; I’ll treat your ice sculpture with care at home. You’ll be my most precious collection; only I get to see you.”

As the frost gradually faded away, Ouyang Le expected to find a near-perfect ice statue displaying Lin Nan’s astonished expression as she faced her impending doom.

To his utter disbelief, all the frost had spun together and wrapped around the fiery blade in Lin Nan’s hand.

Ouyang Le staggered back in shock, a “kachak” sound escaping his throat, leaving him speechless.

Lin Nan smirked. “Ouyang Le, do you know? I’m not just a fire user; I’m a bizarre symbiont of ice and fire. Like right now…”

With a gentle shake of her hand, a truly bizarre scene unfolded.

Flames blazed around the blade, yet just a stone’s throw away, Ouyang Le felt a bone-chilling cold stronger than his own frostiness crash over him.

His brain struggled to comprehend what was happening, thrown into a state of disbelief.

She leaped lightly into the air, the fiery blade swinging toward the bl**d pool in a slash. No fancy skills were involved, but the white flames suffusing around the blade surged like a wind blade straight toward the boiling bl**d pool.

The white flames, forged from ice and fire, touched the surface of the seething bl**d pool, and the result struck Ouyang Le like a full-frontal assault from all angles.

The scorching bl**d pool’s surface dropped a layer as if it had vanished from this world.

[Ding! You have fully tapped into the potential of the character, reaching 100%. Your role-playing score has now exceeded 100% and reached 120%.]

[You will receive a one-time-use item (passive) that immunizes you from fatal damage and withstands all incoming damage for the next 2 seconds.]

“Roar!”

Fu Yetian, buried at the bottom of the bl**d pool, felt external interference and suddenly shot up, absorbing the power from the pool at an accelerated pace.

“Ten seconds of escape left; you sure you don’t want to run?”

Lin Nan withdrew her fiery blade, coolly staring at the defeated Ouyang Le, who had dropped his head in despair.

“Ahhh… get lost! Get lost!”

Ouyang Le screamed in a fit of hysterics.

With a snort, Lin Nan turned and bolted away.

Ouyang Le turned, exhausting all his strength to draw a full moon bow.

“This time, I’ll definitely take him down! I am the focal point of this world! I am!”

An arrow brimming with overwhelming power suddenly shot toward the meditating Fu Yetian.

Just a mere 0.01 centimeters from his forehead, it hovered in mid-air, stuck and unable to advance even a millimeter.

Ouyang Le attempted his old trick, hoping to envelop Fu Yetian in the frost from the prior explosion.

But in the next second, before he could even open his palm, a deafening explosion rang out, and the strength he was about to unleash vanished entirely.

Looking down, he saw a gory hole ripped through his chest, his heart and lungs nowhere to be found.

“Pfft…”

He spat out a mouthful of bl**d, feeling a final wave of pain from his dying brain before he collapsed to the ground with a thud.

Yet, before his body could touch the ground completely, another explosion boomed.

Ouyang Le, like countless human ice sculptures he had created, shattered into countless pieces of flesh and bl**d, scattering all around the cave.

At this moment, the bl**d pool had run dry.

Fu Yetian’s physique had increased considerably, his power surging and rolling within him.

But he still glared hatefully in the direction Lin Nan had vanished, knowing that if it weren’t for that slash which had reduced his absorption rate by ten percent, the perfected version of himself would have been even more glorious than he was now.
