Everyone Thinks I’m the Villainous NPC Boss – Chapter 758

### Chapter 3 Prologue (3)

Just as Lin Nan predicted,

The next day, the rain had lost its ability to turn living beings into irate monsters.

After all, this downpour encompassed the entire Asking Dao Continent—such a massive magical effect couldn’t last forever.

But if the Three Races hadn’t gathered at the Sky Tower beforehand, they would’ve probably gone completely bonkers by now, and before the flood even showed up, they’d have wiped each other out.

The rain continued to pour.

At this point, everyone was focused on waterproofing.

After all, the fortress was made of steel plates stuck together, and with current technology, they couldn’t create a perfect seal. There were always spots where rainwater seeped in.

Luckily, they had enough personnel, and there were workers on shifts cleaning up the accumulating water inside the fortress at all hours.

Thanks to steam engines and pumps, their drainage efforts were getting more efficient.

However, this incessant downpour had continued for seven days with no sign of stopping. The water level had already surpassed the walls of Black Stone City, rising at least ten meters above ground level.

Lin Nan stood anxiously in the joint command center, watching the unrelenting rain through the window.

The Sky Tower fortress, though tall, could only withstand so much of the rising water. If it kept climbing, who knew what kind of havoc would ensue?

She recalled a movie she’d seen in the real world called “2012.”

Due to solar flares, extreme temperature changes suddenly caused the polar ice caps to melt en masse.

In an ideal scenario, if the melting were a slow process, global sea levels would rise about 60 meters.

That’s the average elevation, mind you.

But if the Antarctic glaciers suddenly collapsed, imagine dumping a gigantic bucket of water into a bathtub.

We’d see some severe tidal waves!

From a broader perspective, it would translate into a monstrous tsunami.

Between Antarctica and the Himalayas lay the vast Indian Ocean; a splashdown like that would send shockwaves crashing across the Indian subcontinent, surging up onto the plateau. Even the Himalayas could get swallowed by the tsunami!

This tsunami would likely be several thousand meters high!

This immense force would sweep away everything, leaving humanity with no options other than to build an ark and float on the ocean.

That was essentially humanity’s fate in the movie.

Now, the Asking Dao Continent was facing a threat no less daunting than that.

The deities governing this place seemed adept at sweeping away obstacles without breaking a sweat.

If such a tsunami appeared in the Asking Dao Continent, a mere two or three hundred meters of fortress height would be utterly laughable against that incoming tidal surge.

If anything went wrong with the fortress shielding the Sky Tower, the floods would sweep underground, drowning five million people without a prayer of escape.

Lin Nan couldn’t even begin to accept that outcome.

So, she had to do something to prevent that from happening.

“Janet, I need the help of the Harpist Legion and the Mage Legion.”

“Lord Messenger, it’s our honor!”

After a year and a half of deliberate training, some gifted commoners, aside from the nobles, had grasped the basics of relevant spells.

Though they couldn’t compare to the nobles with the bloodlines of the Four Warriors, joining forces could amplify their loaded buffs significantly.

When the four thousand Harpists and five thousand Mages gathered in the first hall of the fortress,

From a distance, it was a sea of heads—the scale and momentum were nothing short of spectacular.

“I just need you to do one thing: collectively grant me a buff that enhances magical potency.”

“At your command!”

In an instant, the spacious hall resonated with the enchanting sounds of harp music,

While the Mages chanted incantations, a soft glow gradually enveloped their bodies.

The buffs generated by nearly ten thousand simultaneous spellcasters provided immense support for Lin Nan.

Adding to that, she activated her newly learned skill, “Butterfly Dance and Flower Pluck,” which doubled her attributes once again.

Lin Nan felt a surge of power building up within her, bursting to be released.

“Black Snow!”

Just as Lin Nan was about to leave the fortress, a chilling wind blew in from the north.

The raindrops that had just fallen from the sky instantly transformed into glistening snowflakes upon encountering the cold front.

At that moment, it began to snow heavily for a radius of two hundred kilometers around the Sky Tower fortress.

Of course, mere snowfall wouldn’t change the topography near the fortress; after all, the water level had already risen almost ten meters above the horizon. The snow would melt the instant it touched the water’s surface. To halt the flooding, the temperature had to drop even further.

Yes, Lin Nan planned to create an arc-shaped ice dome above the fortress.

Floating in the air, she looked down at the surging water relentlessly battering the fortress and had a brainstorm.

“Illusory Sea!”

The Black Wind Sword carved a graceful arc through the air.

Accompanied by a massive whirlwind that appeared out of nowhere, water splashed as if being siphoned into the sky, swirling endlessly around the fortress.

In the process, as temperatures plummeted, a towering ice wall, hundreds of meters high, gradually formed around the fortress.

This left everyone within the fortress utterly awestruck.

Most of the demon folk knelt at that moment, muttering phrases like “Goddess of Destiny above.”

The monster race wasn’t to be outdone, collectively shouting, “Long live the Cold Moon Great King!”

Since Lin Nan saved the Thousand Bird Floating City, the human race immediately began to worship the “Queen Mother” in every household, praying day and night for her blessings.

So when they saw this scene, their momentary shock gave way to continuous bowing.

Of course, if the Queen Mother could catch an entire floating city, how could she possibly worry about those floods swallowing the fortress?

The last remaining players were left with their jaws dropped, whispering to each other.

For them, coming from the same world, Lin Nan hadn’t placed too many restrictions on them; they just needed to do as told.

“Is this… a miracle?”

“Only the Cold Moon Witch could save us like this.”

The “High School History Teacher” was so pumped that he recorded Lin Nan’s heroic stance with a tiny camcorder.

That’s right! This was one of the digital items Lin Nan brought from the Small World, entrusted to him for documenting significant historical events in the Divine Punishment War.

This way, they could keep projecting it to inspire people to fight against the Divine Punishment!
