### 146 Sisterly Solidarity
In a beverage shop in Sky City, Isar was savoring a rich and aromatic cup of coffee.
The steam from the cup wafted up, slightly dampening the long lashes of the red-haired beauty.
With a soft parting of her ruby lips, she took a sip, leaving a faint lipstick mark on the rim.
She slowly set down the coffee cup, legs crossed, her black trench coat and hat cast aside. Sunlight streamed in through the window, casting a warm glow on her fiery hair, like a cozy little campfire.
What a picturesque scene of tranquil bliss!
However, less than two meters away, across from Isar, tranquility was nowhere to be found.
Enter the couple, a mismatched duo seated side by side with their hands resting awkwardly on their knees, like two little kids who had just had a spat and were summoned to the principal’s office for a lecture.
They sat up straight, backs rigid, hardly daring to breathe.
A precious dragon fruit—a rare delicacy—sat tantalizingly in front of Leon.
But at that moment, he would’ve preferred every last dragon fruit in the world to go extinct!

Roswiser’s mood wasn’t much better.
That despicable Dragon Slayer just stood there so close on stage, couldn’t he tell she was my sister?
Under the table, the couple’s calves inadvertently touched.

With newfound resolve, he kicked her leg, she nudged his knee, the silent competition was on!
Eventually, Isar coughed lightly, interrupting their little game.

“Uh… yes, Sis.”
The Red Dragon Queen propped her chin on one hand, smiling sweetly at her sister, “You’re maintaining your figure so well!”
Roswiser lowered her gaze and nodded, brushing her silver hair behind her ear, “Oh, come on, Sis, you look great too—”
“Pregnant for two months and you still look fabulous! Awesome!”
Upon hearing that, it felt like an electric shock ran through Roswiser. She felt a mix of embarrassment and awkwardness, her tail curling up discreetly.
Shrinking her neck, she hoisted her coffee cup as if trying to hide in the mug.
Leon nudged her calf again under the table.
Roswiser glanced at him.
He shot her a look that clearly said, “You know the big sister is going to interrogate us, think before you speak!”
Roswiser thought back, “Easy for you to say, why don’t you try it?”
Leon shrugged, “Fine, I’ll give it a go.”
Roswiser made a silly face at him, sticking out her tongue.
“Leon.”
“Yup!”
“When did you discover you were having a second child?” Isar asked leisurely.
With the memory of that clumsy dragon still fresh in his mind, Leon decided to tread carefully.
When Isar asked “When did you find out?”, she didn’t truly care about the timeline.
If they followed that question through, it was evident she was really hinting at why they hadn’t told her right away.
With that in mind, Leon crafted a diplomatic response.
“Ah, we only found out a few days ago after an examination. We discovered it had been two months. We just swung by Sky City today to grab some supplements and thought we’d check it out again, and we intended to write to you about it after we returned, Sis.”

Hey, Red Dragon King, good luck finding flaws in that! Leon felt proud.
Isar merely raised an eyebrow and chuckled, “Oh, is that so? Well, that’s good.”
Leon’s crafty answer deftly sidestepped any landmines Isar might have planted.
Seeing she wasn’t going to dig further, Leon let out a relieved sigh and glanced at Roswiser.
Leon: Did you see that? I’m a pro when it comes to dragons!
Roswiser: Heh, don’t celebrate too soon.
“I was starting to think you were deliberately keeping it from me,” Isar remarked.
“Of course not, Sis! We were just discussing if we should tell you in person or by letter,” Leon said convincingly, acting as if they genuinely intended to share the pregnancy news with Isar.
In reality, they had both agreed to keep it under wraps for the time being.
After all, it wasn’t every day that a Dragon had twins, much less a second child.
If their sister found out, the entire Melkway family would be in chaos for the next decade!
Leon even worried that Isar might dig up some forbidden magic to resurrect the ancestors and tell them:
“Little Luo and her husband are adding to the family legacy! Three kids in just three years of marriage; who knows what they’ll achieve over the next few hundred years?”
Though the couple knew the truth about their growing family couldn’t be hidden forever, they didn’t expect the day would come so quickly or so… bizarrely.
Well, fine, if she finds out, Leon needed to keep Isar’s mood steady to prevent any chaos.
So far, his crafty tactics seemed to be working well.
But Leon clearly overlooked one thing:
Isar wasn’t just dressed to impress to ask about their baby news; she had bigger plans in mind!
“Well, it seems you really are upholding your promise to me,” Isar said.
“Promise?” Roswiser blinked.
“Hmm? Didn’t Leon tell you?”
Isar smiled, turning her gaze to Leon.
This time, Leon was the one sweating bullets.
He desperately signaled to Isar, “Don’t say it! Please don’t say it!”
But, as fate would have it, Roswiser wasn’t about to let even a golden opportunity to tease Leon slip by, especially not in front of her cunning sister!
Roswiser caught sight of Leon squirming, thinking, “Oh, judging by that reaction, you promised my sister something you can’t say in front of me, huh?”

“Sis,” Roswiser softly called.
“Hmm? Want to know, Little Luo?”
The two sisters shared a knowing glance—no words needed!
In that moment, Leon realized.
This wasn’t simply an interrogation about the second baby!
This was clearly a sisterly alliance against him!
Mother Dragon, just moments ago we were a couple against the world, and now you’re teaming up with your sister?!
What happened to the noble Dragon warriors who lived pure and true? You’re just as guilty as they come!
“Well, actually, it’s nothing much. The last time you both visited my house, I had a casual chat with Leon,” Isar explained.
“It was just chit-chat, but who would’ve guessed, Leon’s love for you is something even the heavens could bear witness to!”
Roswiser’s face turned slightly red; hearing her sister repeat that made her more than a little shy.
But, honestly, watching the mighty Dragon Slayer fumble over his tongue about how much he adored his “pretend wife” was far more entertaining!
Not at all like Wilson, that old dragon.
The Vice Principal offered equally careless attacks aimed at both of them, ensuring they both suffered public embarrassment;
But it was clear Isar preferred her one-on-one emotional blows, and her impacts were far more devastating than Wilson’s.
“Oh dear Sis, you’re making me blush!”
Roswiser giggled, covering her mouth, “Leon usually keeps things to himself and never says anything mushy to me. Right? Huh?”
As she spoke, she nudged Leon gently in the arm.
Leon shot her a glare full of annoyance.
“Fine, keep milking this for all it’s worth, Queen Mother. Enjoy your moment!”
“Oh, Little Luo, you have no idea how lucky you are! Just outside, during the competition, Leon wanted to trade dragon fruit with me. When I asked if he loved you, he said he did SUPER much!”
“What a shame, Sis, please stop!”
Roswiser feigned shyness, but internally she thought, “Keep it coming! I can already feel his embarrassment radiating from nearby!”
“So what exactly did Leon promise you?” Roswiser steered them back to the main subject.
Truth be told, she was genuinely curious about what Leon had secretly promised her sister.
Isar glanced at Leon, and he looked like a man resigned to his fate at this point.
Ah, might as well send you off properly as my dear sister!
“Your husband said that during the first pregnancy, he didn’t take good care of you. So this time around, he vowed to protect you and the baby with everything he’s got. Tsk, tsk, I thought he was just boasting, but here we are—less than a year in, and you’re already expecting again.”
Isar let out a satisfied sigh, “Looks like he’s eager to prove himself, huh, Little Luo?”

With a cheeky smile, Roswiser wrapped her arm around Leon.

The “won’t let go” she mentioned and what her sister meant were two entirely different things, aren’t they, Mother Dragon?
This house is going to become quite chaotic.
Leon slumped back in his chair, feeling despondent, wishing this interrogation would wrap up faster.
The two sisters chatted for a few more moments, with Leon half-listening, not intending to interrupt.
He understood by now: the more he spoke in front of Isar, the more traps he dug for himself.
This red dragon, whose slyness rivaled Roswiser’s, was certainly no pushover.
So, shutting his mouth was the best course of action.
As they talked, the subject drifted toward why Isar had come to Sky City.
Leon initially had no interest in the topic until Isar mentioned a name.
