168 You know how I’ve spent the last six months?!
After dinner, Roswiser kept her two daughters behind and said with great seriousness,
“ Noia, Moon, Mom has a mission for you tonight.”
The two little dragon girls perked up instantly at the mention of a mission.
“Mom, what mission?” Noia asked.
Roswiser went into her bedroom, picked up the little sister, and carefully bent down to hand her to Noia.
Noia felt a bit flustered; even though it wasn’t her first time holding her little sister, it still made her slightly nervous. “Mom, this is…”
“Little sister is going to sleep with you two tonight, to help bond the three of you.”
Noia lowered her gaze at the little sister peacefully sleeping in her arms. “Is that so… Well, that’s fine. Moon and I have been wanting to sleep with little sister for a long time.”
“Yay~ Sleeping with the cute little sister tonight, so happy~”
“Shh~~”
Noia quickly lifted her tail, using the tip as a finger to hush her sister. “Don’t wake little sister up.”
Moon nodded obediently while playfully tugging on Noia’s tail.
Roswiser clapped her hands, “Alright, now that the mission is clear, you two better execute it well.”
“Yes, Mom!”
Noia cradled her little sister securely and turned to her younger sibling, “Moon, let’s move out.”
“Yes, Sis!”
Dragon Daughter Special Forces (Kiddo Edition), move out!
The two little dragon girls marched out of the room in perfect sync, one in front of the other.
Leon sat at the dining table, munching on a piece of bread while quietly enjoying the show.
He noticed that Roswiser had really changed.
From the serious and no-nonsense “Mother” at the beginning to being the now affectionate “Mom” who engages the kids with all sorts of fun conversations about family affairs.
Although her minions still saw her as the workaholic queen, she was completely different behind closed doors.
This transformation caught Leon by surprise; he always thought dragons were a stubborn and autocratic bunch.
Who knew Roswiser could make such a noticeable change in just a year?
Hmph, see? Mother Dragon, compared to your outdated, rigid educational ideas, our human concepts are light years ahead.
That’s twenty years worth of learning for you.
And Roswiser’s subtle transformation also brought changes to the daughters.
Especially Noia.
Though the eldest daughter still held herself to high standards and was on the fast track to genius, she hadn’t closed herself off emotionally like she did when Leon first met her. She no longer relied solely on tests to gauge relationships.
No matter how you look at it, this family was definitely moving in a better direction.
With that thought, Leon let out a content sigh, “My daughters are maturing; they know how to help their parents with the hardships of life now.”
Roswiser, with her back to him, let out a cold snicker, saying nothing.
Leon froze, puzzled by her sudden laugh.
What was wrong with what I just said…?
Tsk~~~
Why do I suddenly have a bad feeling?
“Leon.” Roswiser still faced away from him.
Leon swallowed hard and shifted in his chair, “Wha—what’s up?”
“You worked hard defeating Constantine the other day; I appreciate it.”
As she spoke, Roswiser slowly turned to face him.
She wore a teasing smile, a cute little dimple on her lip, silver eyes locking onto Leon’s as she strode over, exuding grace.
Leon lowered his gaze, focusing on her dainty ankles peeking from under her dress.
Her steps were slow, but Leon’s heart raced faster.
The Dragon Slayer radar was buzzing loud.
Years of hunting instinct kicked in, and Leon realized what Roswiser had in mind.
He slowly stood up and circled behind the chair, confronting Roswiser across it.
“I warn you, Mother Dragon, the books say no hanky-panky for at least two months after giving birth; otherwise, it’s bad for her health.”
Roswiser raised an eyebrow, “What book did you read?”
“‘Postpartum Care for Mother Dragons’.”
Wrong answer; he hadn’t actually read that book at all.
The whole “two-month rule” was for human women.
Definitely not for someone as mighty as Roswiser.
She chuckled, realizing Leon wasted all his smarts on slaying dragons.
If he thought it through, he would realize that if she was comfortable doing this, then she must’ve done her homework on the pregnancy stuff already.
For a dragon, after a successful delivery, she could bounce back in two or three days.
Two months? Who said that?!
“Alright, Leon, since you know what I want to do now, no need to resist. Be a good boy.”
“You… you’ve seen how strong I was when I killed Constantine. Don’t think just because you’re my kid’s mom, I’ll go easy on you.”
“Oh, I’m so scared! Dragon Slayer, please be gentle with me, okay~?”
Roswiser said this dramatically, then switched to a playful smirk,
“Tsk, if you really had the power you did when you defeated Constantine, would you even need to negotiate with me here? You’d have knocked me out already and had a peaceful night!”
Oops.
Leon’s little plan got completely shattered by Roswiser without a second thought.
Wait, isn’t the saying that pregnant women become dumb for three years?
How is it she’s not only not dumb but actually smarter than before?!
After softening his stance didn’t work, Leon decided to try reasoning with the dragon. “This doesn’t make any sense, Roswiser. I didn’t provoke you today, nor did I do anything bad, so why do you have to… well, you know.”
The queen just snorted. “Do you know how long it’s been since we played the queen and captive game? Six whole months and seven days! Do you know how I’ve spent these last six months!?”
“You… you can spend it however you want! What does it have to do with me? I can hold it back as a male; how come you, a female, are so addicted?!”
“This isn’t addiction, Leon. This is a queen’s desire to conquer.”
“Never thought I’d hear homework turned into an addiction so eloquently.”
“Stop talking nonsense. Look at your attitude now, you think you can talk back after just being let loose for six months? If this goes on any longer, you might try to take my throne! That’s why I need to discipline you a bit, so you understand your place in our family.”
Leon closed his eyes, resigned as he rubbed his forehead, “Oof! Talk about ‘kicking the donkey after unloading its cargo’! If I’d known, I’d have just left Constantine alive, and when he came back for revenge, I would’ve just laid back!”
“Hmm? Since you say so, then I definitely need to reward my guardian, don’t you think?”
“…So I can’t avoid it anyway?”
The queen narrowed her eyes, smiling, “Smart move, darling.”
Well, since it’s come to this, I guess I have no choice but to submit tonight.
Standing tall, Leon declared, “I’d rather d*e standing than live kneeling!”
With a determined stomp, he shoved the chair aside and strode towards Roswiser.
Before she could react, Leon pinned her against the wardrobe.
Roswiser was momentarily taken aback, staring into his dark eyes—her heartbeat skipped a beat.
Ah, after so long, I’m still awkward, letting the dog man seize the moment.
“Queen’s desire to conquer, huh? Family status, huh? And how you’ve spent these last six months, huh?”
Leon held Roswiser’s wrists, slowly lifting her arms until they rested on top of her head.
Their faces were close enough that their noses brushed, breaths mingling as their gazes locked.
Roswiser’s flirtatious eyes flickered with heat as she teasingly rubbed her lips against the corner of Leon’s mouth.
“So, what now? What are you going to do to me…?”
