Chapter 4: Making You Comfortable Tonight
After sorting out the affairs of the clan, Leon’s family set off for a seaside vacation.
This beach wasn’t like the last stop from Noia’s “Parental Love” date; that place was more of a scenic spot near Sky City, ideal for post-meal strolls and calming down.
If they really wanted to see the ocean and relax, they needed to hit a real beach.
After a few hours of flying, the clouds parted to reveal a stunning tropical paradise before Leon.
Looking down at the sandy beaches and the endless blue waters, he had never imagined that the Dragon Race’s territory could be so vast.
Thinking about it, Leon felt a surge of anger.
Why did the empire have to stab him in the back like this?
Just give General Leon a few more years, and once he conquers the Dragon Race, all these beaches and oceans will be for humans!
Ha! Shortsighted humans!
Oh, forget it; he was here to accompany his daughters, not to dwell on these tangled matters.
The Silver Dragon slowly descended at the entrance of the resort.
Before heading to the beach, they needed to check into their hotel and stash their belongings.
They had two rooms: Noia and Moon in one, while Leon and Roswiser took the other.
As for Little Light, where she sleeps at night completely depends on whether her mom and dad feel like bonding.
Poor little girl; her parents have always been by her side since birth, yet there are times she has to take on the role of a “left-behind child.”
So this story tells us that when reincarnating, make sure to land in a chill family.
If you end up in one of those places where you’ve got little siblings popping up every three days, you’d better not go looking for them at night, because they probably won’t have time for you.
Once they checked in, the family of five changed into their swimsuits.
The three little dragon daughters naturally sported adorable children’s striped swimsuits that came with cute floaties—both cute and safe!
Leon, however, wore a loose tank top and beach shorts that were white on top and blue on the bottom, looking fresh and sunshiny—just perfect for beach vibes.
Roswiser originally bought him only one pair of beach shorts, firmly claiming, “My husband has such a great body; of course, I want to show it off!”
But Leon knew that the Mother Dragon just wanted to flaunt the dragon patterns on his chest.
He didn’t want to be stared at by a bunch of people, so he opted to buy an extra loose tank top.
Then there was Roswiser. She had on a modest one-piece swimsuit she bought a few days ago, and to top it off, she wore a sun-protective cover-up that left only her tail and her long, beautiful legs visible.
The Silver Dragon Queen only dazzled with her alluring and charming side when she was doing homework with her fake husband. Other than that, she was quite a conservative person.
Leon knew this all too well.
So it seemed this beach trip wouldn’t turn into a repeat of the black lace swimsuit incident from the hot springs.
Thinking this, Master Leon silently sighed in relief.
He had seen nearly all of the Mother Dragon’s tricks; only various costume changes could shake his composure.
As long as he could keep her from wearing those ridiculous outfits, I, Casmod, will remain virtuous and unflustered!
“What are you laughing about?” As they were about to leave, Roswiser couldn’t help but ask when she saw Leon grinning like a fool.
Leon quickly wiped the smile off his face. “N-nothing.”
Roswiser’s eyes twinkled mischievously as she teased, “You were just smiling like a giddy boy on his first date.”
Leon shot her a look. “You’re not allowed to play my dragon here!”
“I don’t care if I’m playing, as long as I can make you uncomfortable!”
“No, I’m perfectly comfortable—super comfortable!”
Roswiser raised an eyebrow. “Oh really? Then how about I make you even more comfortable tonight?”
Leon instantly felt a tightening in his lower half, swallowed hard, and hurriedly slipped out of the room to find his daughters.
Roswiser, with her hands in her pockets, watched the clumsy war prisoner escape and sighed, “Looks like the magic hasn’t fully recovered; otherwise, he wouldn’t be this timid.”
With that, Roswiser stepped out of the room.
At the beach, the mildly salty breeze blew in their faces, seabirds circled overhead, and waves crashed in a rhythmic dance.
There weren’t many tourists on the beach; it was similar in nature to Flowing Cloud Valley—it catered to nobility, and only those with status could come here.
Noia and Moon dove into the shallow water with their floaties, while the couple opted not to take Little Light along.
Playing at home was one thing, but at the beach, they couldn’t be so casual.
Even though there were lifeguards on standby, the couple couldn’t let Little Light out of their sight.
Under a large sun umbrella, Leon and Roswiser lounged on beach chairs, sipping chilled drinks from the small table between them.
Little Light sat on her dad’s belly, waving her tiny fists like she was about to take on the world.
Leon thought she was thirsty, so he handed her his drink.
She didn’t want it.
Then he assumed she was hot and offered her a tiny fan.
She still didn’t want it.
Leon sat up and looked at his daughter. “What do you want, exactly?”
Just then, with a swift motion, Little Light’s tiny fist shot up and delivered a textbook uppercut right to Dad’s chin.
Before Leon could register what happened, he heard laughter nearby.
Turning his head, he saw Roswiser on her beach chair, clutching her stomach and laughing heartily.
Leon’s eye twitched slightly. “What’s so funny…?”
Roswiser composed herself, turned towards him, propped her chin on one hand, and looked back with those gorgeous eyes. “There are few creatures in this world that can deliver an uppercut and get away unscathed—Little Light is one of them. Anything you want to say about that?”
“That’s just a rite of passage for her becoming a little sweetheart! What child hasn’t been rebellious?”
Still grinning, Leon hugged Little Light, whose pink tail swayed back and forth.
Little Light blinked her big eyes at Dad, babbling in baby talk that made no sense.
“Speaking of which, how long until Little Light can actually talk?” Leon asked.
Roswiser thought for a moment and replied, “Maybe a little over a month. If we’re lucky, perhaps just half a month?”
Leon nodded thoughtfully, gently patting Little Light’s head. “When she starts talking, do you think she’ll call for Dad first or Mom first?”
“That’s a dumb question! Biologically speaking, a baby’s first word is usually ‘Mom.’ You should just recognize that, Leon—you’ve got no chance here.”
Leon pouted, “Not necessarily! Little Light is a half-bl**d; mixed-bloods tend to have their quirks.”
Roswiser shrugged. “Are you saying her first word is ‘Dad’? That’s a stretch.”
“Tsk! Just wait and see, she’ll definitely call Dad first!”
Roswiser chuckled and didn’t bother to argue.
She turned over, pulling out two tubes of sunscreen from her bag. “Come help me apply some sunscreen.”
“You can do it yourself!” Leon was too busy playing with Little Light to bother with sunscreen.
“I can’t reach some places! Hurry up!”
Seeing the Dog Man still unmoved, Roswiser poked his face with her tail. “I’ll count to three. If you don’t come over, I’ll activate the dragon pattern.”
“……”
Just as Leon was about to retort, he suddenly recalled something.
“Roswiser.”
“What?”
“A few days ago when I was in the Empire, one night, the dragon pattern suddenly flashed a few times… What do you have to say about that?”
