Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You – Chapter 284

95 No Drinking My Foot Soak

Roswiser lay on the bed, propping up one long leg in the air.

The warm sunlight streamed through the thin curtains, bathing her smooth skin in a soft golden glow. She gracefully rotated her ankle, seemingly admiring the perfect outline of her leg.

Normally, she wasn’t this narcissistic.

But today’s “breakfast” was simply delightful.

“So dirty.”

“So sticky.”

“It’s all your fault.”

Tiny droplets glimmered under the warm sun.

The sensation was like a delicate silk thread, weaving a graceful trail and sprinkling a unique charm across her leg. Roswiser gently waved her leg, relishing the delightful, winding touch that sent a ticklish sensation throughout.

With an almost artistic flair, she controlled every little drop, keeping the entire process both elegant and oh-so-clean. And Roswiser was determined not to let a single droplet stain the pristine white sheets.

Because cleaning up would be quite the hassle.

Leon shut his eyes, opting not to look. “Please, just wash it off already.”

“What’s the rush? I, someone with OCD, am not in a hurry to wash it off. Why are you?”

Roswiser said leisurely, “Or do you feel particularly ashamed about getting my feet and legs dirty? Leon?”

“……”

He thought that after six months, the Mother Dragon would have mellowed out on her games.

But lo and behold, not only had she not calmed down, she seemed to be ramping things up.

It was probably akin to parents who return home after a year away at work and are shocked to see how much their kid has grown.

The classic line upon seeing their child? “Wow, you’ve grown so much!”

The truth is, if the kid had been around all along, the parents wouldn’t have noticed the height difference.

In other words, if Leon had been right by Roswiser’s side all along, he wouldn’t have noticed how her playful antics were more thrilling than ever after six months apart.

Looks like… another reason to stick around Roswiser just got added to the list.

As the sticky “fine threads” on her leg gradually cooled down, losing the initial sensation, Roswiser’s interest began to fade.

“Help me wash it off.”

“Can’t you just take a bath yourself?”

“Whoever dirties it cleans it, isn’t this your mess?”

Don’t try to reason with a woman.

Especially one who’s lived for over two hundred years.

Leon scoffed, got out of bed, and went to the bathroom to fetch a basin of warm water.

Roswiser laid out a blanket by the edge of the bed, sitting down to avoid getting any of the leg-area mess on the sheets.

He placed the basin on the floor, and she gingerly dipped her foot into the water.

The temperature was just right, not too hot, not too cold.

After living together for so long, he had gotten pretty good at adjusting the water to Roswiser’s preferred temperature.

“You’re thoughtful,” Roswiser praised with a smile.

“Hmph, I just don’t want to hear you nag,” Leon replied.

As he gently pressed down on the top of Roswiser’s foot, he poured water over it.

“Hot water, you’ll say I did it on purpose; cold water, you’ll say I don’t care. So, I might as well put in the effort to get the temperature just right.”

The corners of Roswiser’s mouth curled up as her gaze shifted from Leon’s face to the basin, saying with a hint of smugness,

“Don’t deny it, you care about me, you worry about me.”

“Oh, Mother Dragon, I really want to splash this foot soak water on your face.”

“Oh please, half an hour ago you said you liked everything about me, and now you want to splash foot water in my face? Hmph, you really can’t trust what men say in bed.”

Leon finished washing her foot and meticulously cleaned the traces from her calf and inner thigh. “If you don’t believe what I say in bed, you better not believe outside of it either, after all, what captive would spill their heart out to a queen daily?”

His fingers and palms were a bit rough, a testament to his battlefield experiences and rigorous magic training. As they glided over Roswiser’s leg, it felt oddly special.

Roswiser didn’t mind this sensation; she actually loved it. Being touched by Leon’s hands always gave her a solid sense of security.

“Speaking of which, something suddenly crossed my mind.”

“What is it?”

“Just before you entered the rift, did you say something to me?”

The cleaning motion abruptly stalled, and Leon pressed his lips together, playing dumb. “Nope, I didn’t say anything.”

“No, no, you definitely said something.”

Roswiser confidently stated, “You first turned back, called my name, and added a few more words. But the magic’s noise was too loud, so I didn’t hear clearly. But looking at your lips, you definitely said something.”

Leon bowed his head, speeding up his movements to hide his inner panic.

“W-Well, you must have seen it wrong. When I’m nervous, I tend to hallucinate, you know?”

Though deep inside, Leon silently vowed to be more proactive with Roswiser once he returned.

But saying those three words outright? That seemed a little too eager.

And to say them while washing her feet…

Ugh, that lacked all sense of ceremony.

Though Roswiser often acted like she had no desires (except for making Leon do her homework), he knew she actually valued ceremonial gestures quite a bit.

After all, during her last birthday, she initially just wanted to tease Leon.

But when she saw all the carefully prepared surprises he had for her, the joy and satisfaction in her eyes were undeniable.

So, those three words had to be said.

But they’d need to wait for the right moment.

Seeing Leon keeping quiet, the queen scoffed, “Tch, fine, don’t say anything, but—”

Leon slowed his hand movements, worried that the Mother Dragon might be getting angry.

Would they end up in another husband-wife stubborn tug-of-war? However, what he didn’t expect was—

“Eventually, I’ll make you say it.”

Roswiser said stubbornly, “I want you to admit that you care about me, that you worry about me, that you can’t wait to see me after a while apart, that you feel like dragon patterns are crawling all over you when you don’t see me for a day. Casmod, you better be ready.”

Oh.

Your Majesty, you really know how to throw a curveball!

Isn’t that something you’d want to say yourself?

Leon subtly guessed the little thoughts behind her words.

Just like that night on the balcony when they chatted, when Roswiser had made him drink and, while feeling tipsy, coaxed him into admitting he liked her.

But the truth was, it was she who wanted to say it; she just needed him to say it first.

Not for any reason other than that strange desire to win.

Once he realized this, Leon chuckled, picked up a nearby towel, and slowly dried Roswiser’s legs and feet.

“Well, I’m looking forward to it then. Let’s see who ends up making the first move—me, or you, surrendering first—hey! What are you doing?”

Before he could fully dry her feet, Roswiser pressed them right against his chest.

From Leon’s crouched view, a delicate, fair leg extended down to the edge of the bed—a true springtime reveal, Your Majesty.

“You’ll be the first to crack, Leon.” The Dog Man challenged her back. How could she not fire back? That’s just what couples do—playfully jab at each other.

Leon sighed with a smile, shaking his head as he moved her foot from his chest and lifted the foot soak basin.

He didn’t want to keep going on this topic with the Mother Dragon, as it would surely lead to endless chatter.

After rising, Leon glanced at the basin of foot soak water, then asked,

“Your Majesty, I have a slightly weird request.”

The queen’s face immediately darkened, “Don’t you dare drink my foot soak.”

Leon grinned, “Let’s clean up a bit, shall we go out for a stroll later?”
