104 Be Good
“Your Majesty, let me have a look! (Two-in-one)”
“We’ll be together for life, right?”
As soon as the Queen finished her sentence, the Holy Temple fell silent, so silent that you could hear each other’s breathing.
Roswiser stood on the lower stair, gazing up at the half-n*ked man on the throne.
Silver and black eyes locked, seemingly sparking some invisible fireworks in the air.
Noticing a strange look on Leon’s face, Roswiser quickly added,
“What I meant by being together… is living together in an objective sense, not… not in that way.”
As she spoke, her voice grew softer and softer.
By the end, Roswiser turned her gaze away to the polished floor, whispering,
“Do you understand what I mean?”
“I understand.”
“Um, if you understand then—”
“You want to grow old with me.”
Roswiser: ?
“You didn’t understand a thing!”
Roswiser, fuming, stepped up the stairs, standing before Leon, hands on her hips, indignantly defending, “Who wants to grow old with you? I’m not letting you see what I’ll look like when I’m old!”
Leon blinked, “So you don’t want to grow old together just because you don’t want me seeing you age…”
“Don’t b*tt in! Anyway, the term ‘grow old together’… is just inappropriate.”
After thinking a moment, Roswiser quickly came up with another phrase,
“You’re my captive, tied to me for life, together developing the functions of the Dragon Pattern. Isn’t that just how it should be?”
Clap—clap—clap—
Leon couldn’t help but applaud, “Brilliant, Your Majesty! Every time you can’t find a suitable reason, you bring up that I’m your captive; this trick is always a hit!”
Roswiser was too lazy to argue with him about this.
The more you embellish, the worse it gets.
She was merely echoing what he had just made her say:
We’ll be together for life.
What’s wrong with that? It’s romantic, right? Does it express our love for each other?
Seriously, it meant nothing at all!
This Dog Man just can’t stop yapping about that phrase; this queen really has been too nice.
Roswiser stepped forward and plopped back down on Leon’s lap.
This closer position allowed her to look slightly down at Leon, so she cast her eyes down, wrapping her arms around his bare arms.
“Stop rambling, idiot. If you can accept the method I just mentioned, we can implant the second Dragon Pattern now.”
The existing Dragon Pattern only allowed Leon to unleash full power for ten minutes.
Though during those ten minutes, he could take down six Dragon Kings, that was still Leon’s limit.
After the battle, Leon would fall into a state of extreme weakness and would need Roswiser to support him just to walk.
And unexpected situations on the battlefield crop up all the time; the enemy isn’t going to let him waltz away so lucky every time.
So… boosting his magical reserves is essential.
Leon nodded, “No problem, I accept.”
“Oh? You really can accept it.”
Roswiser lightly scratched the back of Leon’s neck with her finger, tilting her head slightly, her silver hair falling, “I should remind you, two Dragon Patterns double the desire. Don’t get all clingy on me afterward—now that would really ruin your heroic dragon-slaying image.”
Leon chuckled, raising his hand to grasp Roswiser’s wrist, leaning in closer, his nose brushing against her ear.
Roswiser knew he wanted to hit back with something clever, like “You should worry about yourself first” or “I can totally control myself.”
She understood this Dog Man all too well.
So she was ready for a verbal tussle with him.
However, Leon said,
“Then you better be careful, Melkway; I might make you faint like you did when you woke from bl**d’s Temptation.”
“…”
Well, that backfired.
Roswiser shoved him by the shoulder, pressing him against the throne’s back, “Stop boasting! I’m a noble Dragon Queen! You think your pitiful human body can conquer me? Not even two hundred years later!”
“I~ am~ a~ noble~ Dragon~ Queen~”
Leon mimicked Roswiser’s words in a teasing tone, then replied, “Sorry, Your Majesty, but your noble Dragon Queen body has already taken the shape of my human form—”
“Ah, shut up!”
Roswiser couldn’t take it anymore.
Shyly angry, she gave Leon’s arm a light punch.
Leon stopped teasing, his playful demeanor vanishing, and seriously asked, “So, shall we begin? What do you need me to do for the procedure?”
Roswiser shook her head, “No need. Just like the first time I carved your Dragon Pattern, you just lie there; don’t do anything.”
“OK.”
So lying back will give me an upgrade patch; this version is definitely still under Leon Casmod’s reign!
Though it might come with some debuffs afterward, overall it’s still a power-up.
Leon obediently settled into the throne.
Roswiser slowly raised her right hand, a flow of silver magical light glowing in her palm.
“Where do you want it carved?” Roswiser asked.
“Oh? I can choose the position?”
“Of course! Our Dragon Race’s magic is very user-friendly.”
“Hmm…” Leon pretended to ponder, then grinned widely, “How about on my b*tt? That way, it’s hard to spot.”
Roswiser rolled her eyes in exasperation, “Be serious, you idiot! Where do you want it? Hurry up!”
“Right below the current Dragon Pattern works.”
“You mean… on your lower abdomen?”
“Right.”
“Tut, tut, tut.”
Roswiser clicked her tongue, shaking her head, looking at Leon with a ‘I can’t believe you’re that type’ expression, her eyes filled with slight disdain.
Leon blinked, “What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?”
“You teasing lech.” Roswiser mumbled bitterly.
Leon was more confused, “Wait, how am I a tease?”
“You’re just a tease! Be quiet; I’m about to carve it now. Lower abdomen, is that confirmed?”
Leon hesitated, pursed his lips, and chose not to continue the argument, “Mm, confirmed.”
“Okay, here it comes; it might feel a bit hot.”
“Mm.”
Roswiser gently pressed her palm onto Leon’s lower abdomen.
Instantly, a light burning sensation spread, but it wasn’t painful.
A flash of silver light passed, and as Roswiser lifted her hand, both of them froze.
The Dragon Pattern didn’t appear on Leon’s belly…
“Where’s the Dragon Pattern? Did the magic fail?” Leon asked.
Roswiser had never encountered such a situation—
Oh no, to be exact, most of the Dragon Race wouldn’t encounter such a situation because no normal couple would abstractly decide to carve two Dragon Patterns on their bodies like they did.
Roswiser’s eyes darted, and her peripheral vision inadvertently caught sight of the Dragon Pattern on Leon’s exposed right arm.
She peered closely; sure enough, the Dragon Pattern was there, coiling around his arm!
Leon’s arm had solid muscular lines, so the Dragon Pattern looked quite fitting on it, radiating strength while still carrying a dash of flirtiness.
“It does look cool, but why is it showing up here? Didn’t you carve it on my belly?”
Leon moved his arm, feeling nothing unusual.
Roswiser was also puzzled, “The book says you can choose the location of the Dragon Pattern at will; why would it go off course…”
Leon thought for a moment and speculated, “Could it be that the first Dragon Pattern allows you to choose, but the second one is… random?”
The Queen understood, “That does seem possible.”
Leon snorted, “You just said your Dragon Race’s magic is very user-friendly; now it’s turned random?”
Roswiser poked his chest in reply, “User-friendly also includes ‘the thrill and excitement of the unknown,’ you get it?”
“Tch…” Leon chuckled, then asked, “Now it’s your turn to carve. I’m really curious where your second Dragon Pattern will show up.”
After a pause, he added with a sly grin, “If it ends up on your tail, you’ll have to hide it when you go out.”
“Hmph, what’s there to hide? The Dragon Pattern is a testament to my love with my husband; what’s wrong with showing it?”
“Who’s your husband?” Leon asked proudly.
“Hey, you! ……”
Roswiser stopped bickering with him, “Okay, shut up; I need to focus on channeling my magic.”
Leon shrugged, mimicking a ‘zip it up’ motion in front of his mouth.
Roswiser began to gather magical energy in her palm once again.
After a moment, she gently pressed her palm on her own abdomen, inwardly praying:
Please don’t randomly end up in a weird place!
Though she claimed showing off the Dragon Pattern was nothing to be ashamed of, Roswiser truly didn’t want it to randomly appear in a strange spot…
That would be so awkward when she was working with Leon in the future!
A rush of heat surged and slowly dissipated.
Once the imprint was done, Roswiser let out a sigh of relief.
She pulled down her collar, looking at her abdomen—
“Did it get carved?” Leon asked.
Roswiser, blushing, turned her head away, “N-no…”
“Huh? It didn’t get carved?”
“It’s not that; it’s just that my chest is too big, and I can’t see my belly.”
“…… An unexpected reason.” Leon was surprised too.
Roswiser let out a sigh, stood up, nervously adjusting her skirts, “Then could you help me check?”
Leon didn’t quite understand why she was shy at this moment, “We’ve been so honest with each other so many times; why are you still being all shy?”
“This is different!”
“Okay, okay, different, different. My apologies, Your Majesty, please lift your skirt so I can see if you have a Dragon Pattern on your lower abdomen.”
It was indeed her request, but why did it seem so… strange after Leon said it?
The dignified Silver Dragon Queen is actually going to expose her lower belly for someone to check for a Dragon Pattern… oh my gosh, embarrassing, embarrassing, embarrassing!
Roswiser bit her lip, face flushed, slowly lifting her skirt.
Her smooth, rounded thighs emerged, the black lace hem appearing beneath the dress.
Further up was her smooth, flat lower abdomen, but there was no pattern at all.
Leon shook his head, “Nope. It might have randomly appeared elsewhere.”
Roswiser let her skirt fall, inspecting her arms, shoulders, and even her tail, but found no Dragon Pattern.
Scratching her head, she pondered, “Where could it have randomly gone…”
Leon raised a hand, signaling her to turn around.
Roswiser complied.
Leon looked at her nape and back but found no Dragon Pattern.
“Oh no, it wouldn’t have randomly ended up on your b*tt, would it?”
“Absolutely not!”
Roswiser, barefoot, dashed down the stairs, “I’m going to find a mirror to check myself!”
Leon watched her panic-stricken figure, shaking his head with a wry smile, then stood up, dressed, and followed her.
They returned to the bedroom in a follow-the-leader fashion.
When Leon pushed the door open, he found Roswiser sitting on the bed, wearing a defeated expression.
He walked over and asked, “What’s wrong? Your expression tells me the Dragon Pattern didn’t appear on your b*tt.”
Roswiser, blushing deeply, looked down, her knees hugging her wrists, whispering,
“It’s… on my waist…”
Upon hearing this, Leon blushed too,
“You’re quite the tease, Your Majesty. Let me see!”
