### Chapter 7: Love Tutoring Class
(2)
Evening, Study Room.
The couple was deeply engrossed in figuring out how to share their dating experiences with Roswiser’s kin the next day.
Leon was skeptical about this whole venture.
“Your folks are coming to seek your genuine advice, but you’re going to respond with a pile of fake love experiences? I think that’s a bit off.”
“At this point, where am I supposed to find real love experiences? We’ll just wing it with yours!”
“Bold! Mother Dragon, I am your legitimate husband! How can I be just a backup plan?”
Queen Roswiser crossed her arms, raised an eyebrow, and teased, “First it’s ‘fake love,’ and now it’s ‘legitimate husband?’ Wow, your face changes faster than a chameleon, Casmod.”
“I have a very flexible set of criteria for our relationship.”
Roswiser snorted and shook her head. “Alright, whether it’s fake love or genuine married life, we need to come up with something tonight. Otherwise, tomorrow will be a total flop, and that’s not great for the revitalization of the race.”
Leon lounged in his chair, casually propping one leg up. “So, Your Majesty, where do you want to start summarizing?”
“I’m not really sure how to share a normal love experience… I’ll just dig through some novels.”
With that, Roswiser headed to the bookshelf and dug out a few romance novels.
Romance novels were all pretty similar, with the same few clichés:
Meet, part ways, chance encounter, create a bond over some shared antics, and finally hold hands, hug, and kiss.
After flipping through for a bit, Roswiser found that the classic romance tropes surprisingly applied to her and Leon.
Their own meeting had been rather abstract.
So abstract, in fact, that even she found it hard to believe to this day.
“How do we beautify the story of our meeting to a degree that everyone can accept?” Roswiser asked.
Leon furrowed his brows in deep thought, then after a moment replied seriously, “This is easy! Just say you fell head over heels for me the first time you saw me and relentlessly pursued me for two years until I finally gave in, and then—”
“Pfft! Leon, can you tell me what your face is made of? I’d like to use it to reinforce the outer walls of my Silver Dragon Temple. It should be invincible!”
General Leon grinned, then carefully broke it down for Roswiser.
“I’m not making this up! Think about it: What was the first thing you said when you entered the dungeon and saw me?”
Roswiser blinked and racked her brain.
Before she could even respond, Leon chimed in, “You said, ‘Well, here’s a tough and handsome man; scars are the perfect accessory for this face,’ right?”
Roswiser’s cheeks flushed, and she stammered, “I… I did say that, but so what?”
“So what? Your Majesty, you complimented my looks the first time we met! Isn’t that love at first sight?” Leon argued convincingly.
“You! …”
Roswiser was so amused by this shameless Dog Man that she couldn’t help but laugh.
She quickly walked over, grabbing him by the neck, “I’ll shark you for that! Enjoy your pretty face while you can!”
She didn’t apply much force, and Leon played along, lightly gripping her wrist, rolling his eyes, and sticking his tongue out in ‘play-dead’ mode.
Roswiser shook him a couple of times but, still unsatisfied, lightly punched his chest.
“Come on! Be serious! I really don’t have any good ideas. Give me some inspiration.”
Leon put away his playful grin, thought hard for a moment, then said, “Your folks have rarely had interactions with the opposite s*x and haven’t dated much, so they probably idealize romance quite a bit.”
“Okay, and then?”
“So we need to paint this relationship as beautifully and passionately as possible but not too far removed from reality.”
The Queen pondered, “Oh~~ that’s called immersion! I get it.”
“All that novel reading isn’t in vain!” Leon praised with a smile.
As her silver tail flicked slightly, Roswiser hummed in pride.
But the next moment, her smile froze.
Hiss~~
Wait a minute.
Did this Queen just happily wag her tail over a mere compliment from this little captive?
Impossible! It must be that she’s just in a weird mood tonight, yes, definitely.
Lost in thought, she heard Leon continue,
“In my view, our encounter and understanding aren’t the focus of what you need to share tomorrow. Your people are all dating within their own kind. They’ve lived among the Silver Dragon Race for decades or even centuries and know each other very well, so there’s no need for romantic coincidences. Don’t you think?”
“Hmm~ good point. So should we focus on daily interactions?”
“Right.”
Leon said, “However, our way of interacting might not suit everyone since everyone’s personalities and styles differ, so ‘interaction’ doesn’t follow a standard template. It completely depends on whether the two people fit well together.”
“But there is one thing that couples must pay attention to when they’re together.”
Roswiser perked up, “What is it?”
“The bottom line.”
“The bottom line?”
“Exactly.”
Leon continued, “Remember in the beginning when we used to torment each other with all sorts of methods to make each other uncomfortable and hate each other? But now looking back, you’ll see that even at our most conflict-ridden moments, we never crossed each other’s bottom line.”
“Give me some examples.”
“You brought me back to the Empire and we… well, did that thing in the woods. Then we ran into a dragon-slaying team, right?”
Roswiser nodded.
“At that moment, you could’ve wiped those folks out. You even had your magical energy gathered and ready to go. But I stopped you, and that was the end of it. Think back to what you were thinking at that time?”
Holding her chin in one hand, Roswiser reminisced. After a moment, she smirked and looked into Leon’s eyes, “I didn’t want you to be too crushed. Hmph, it’s strange, isn’t it? I hated you like crazy back then, yet I still held back a little. I don’t know why that is. Got any other examples?”
She wasn’t one to dwell on the past.
Dragons had extremely long lifespans, and looking back was just exhausting.
But reminiscing about her moments with Leon fueled her interest.
From sworn enemies to “bed-sharing comrades,” she truly wanted to know how they had transformed along the way.
“Oh, sure.”
Leon provided another example, “For instance, the first time I used the Dragon Pattern to control you, we were on your doorstep, and your maid was outside. I forced you to stay quiet. But if I wanted to ruin your reputation, I could’ve just opened the door. I didn’t care what your kin thought of me.”
Roswiser lightly kicked his knee, “Can’t you come up with different examples? Can we leave this stuff to sink into the river of history?”
Leon chuckled and, taking Roswiser’s ankle, placed her delicate foot on his leg.
Roswiser made no resistance, letting him slip off her shoe.
The Dog Man bent down, fiddling with her toes, continuing his train of thought.
“There are countless examples. Every time we’ve tried to annoy each other, we also left each other a tiny bit of breathing room. Sure, part of that was because of the daughters, but if you and I were truly heartless and had no bottom line, no matter how many daughters we had, it wouldn’t stop us from harming one another.”
After a pause, Leon added, “Your feet are so soft, they’re really fun to play with.”
The Queen was speechless, “…… Has the love expert turned into a foot fetishist all of a sudden, my dear husband?”
Leon grinned and helped Roswiser put her shoes back on, gently placing her feet back down.
“In conclusion, I personally believe that the most important thing for lovers is to respect each other’s bottom lines. No matter what happens or what conflicts arise, never touch each other’s most vulnerable places.”
Roswiser nodded slowly, genuinely praising, “I always thought of you as just a warrior who could fight, but I didn’t realize you had such skill in relationships, too.”
A compliment from the Mother Dragon was as rare as a shooting star.
Leon brimmed with joy, puffing up his chest, “Of course! After all, I was the heartthrob of the school! I had a line of girls waiting to take me out for meals!”
“Oh?”
Roswiser leaned back slightly, lifted one beautiful leg, playfully tossed her slipper off, and began to stroke Leon’s thigh with her soft foot.
Leon thought this Mother Dragon was rewarding him.
Ahem.
Though he wasn’t a foot guy, who could resist a little Mother Dragon’s soft, tender action?
However, Roswiser continued teasingly, “So… was there one silver-haired senior among those girls?”
Leon: ?
Oh no.
How the heck did you know that?!
