14 Something White is About to Come Out
“Leon… I, I’m so nervous.”

In the garden of the Silver Dragon Temple, the couple sat cross-legged facing each other.

“But next time you accompany me, could you choose your words a bit… less ambiguous?”
Leon blinked innocently, “How was that ambiguous?”
“‘First time,’ ‘don’t be nervous,’ ‘don’t stop’? Isn’t that a bit odd?”
“So your ‘white stuff’ and ‘too hot’ isn’t strange at all?” Leon shot back logically.
“I-I was led astray by you!” The Queen stood her ground.
General Leon rolled his eyes, “Alright, Mother Dragon, we’re not exactly innocent younglings who’ve never dated. What’s wrong with using some adult vocabulary? As long as we all understand it, right?”
“What do you mean, Casmod? From the way you said that, it sounds like you’ve dated before?”
“Huh? Didn’t we date?”
“Not at all!”
“…As you wish.”
Leon sighed in relief and leaned back, lying on the soft grass.
A while ago, when he met with Master and Rebecca, he asked Master to help him find books on Primordial Magic, and Master agreed.
However, he and Roswiser didn’t expect Master to be some magical treasure box to pull everything out of a fourth-dimensional pocket.
So, when they got back, the couple started studying Primordial Magic by themselves.
Just as Roswiser had said, Primordial Magic was too ancient and mysterious; there was no ancient book or literature that detailed it.
So, they could only dig out bits about Primordial Magic from the scraps of various historical texts.
After some exploration, Roswiser discovered that to use Primordial Magic, one must condense “Primal Power.”
Using regular magical power would significantly undermine the effectiveness of Primordial Magic.
At first, Roswiser couldn’t grasp the trick to condensing Primal Power at all.
It had nothing to do with talent or seriousness; when it came to this, anyone would be completely lost at first.
But just a few days ago, Roswiser was astonished to find that she could almost feel a force completely distinct from ordinary magical energy flowing inside her.
So, she had been trying to draw this power out of her body for several days.
Today, with Leon’s assistance, Roswiser had made some small progress.
She opened her palm, and a small cluster of white energy flames flickered and danced in her hand.
“It’s strange. Just a while ago, I couldn’t feel any Primal Power at all, and now it’s come together in just a few days,” Roswiser said.
Leon lay on the grass, staring up at the sky. “That just shows I’m a good guide.”
Roswiser huffed, kicking his calf, “Stop being so self-absorbed.”
Leon chuckled, sitting up and gazing at Roswiser’s bright, beautiful face. “That’s just because my wife is exceptionally talented.”
Suddenly praised, the Queen’s corner of her mouth tugged up in triumph. “Hmph, as long as you know!”
After a pause, Roswiser suddenly realized something.
She looked back at him, raising her foot to kick Leon again. “Stop buttering me up! Who’s your wife? You should address me as Your Majesty!”
“Y-yes, Your Majesty.”
The Dog Man’s flattery was getting stronger lately, and who knows what kind of medicine he’s been taking.
Could it be that his wooden head finally realized the goodness of the Queen?
Or was he plotting something evil?
With Roswiser’s understanding of him, she knew he wouldn’t just become so articulate for no reason.
There had to be something fishy going on!
However, the truth of the matter was not as complicated as the Queen thought.
Leon simply remembered that he had promised the daughters in the future that he would be more proactive in spending time with Roswiser once he got back.
But now that life had returned to normal, he was feeling a bit cowardly.
However, General Leon wasn’t one to go back on his word!
Since he promised his daughters, he had to deliver!
If being more proactive was a bit difficult, then he could just say some sweet words that Mother Dragon likes to make her happy—that counts too!

Roswiser watched Leon grinning to himself and squinted her eyes, asking,
“You definitely have some ulterior motive, don’t you?”
Leon’s thoughts were pulled back by these words, slightly dazed. “What… ulterior motive?”
“Lately, you’ve been trying to keep me happy, saying all these sappy things you never said before. When things are too out of the ordinary, they must be unusual. You must have some purpose, right?”
“It’s not like that.”
Leon said, “Is that really how you see me?”
The Queen pondered seriously before nodding firmly, replying clearly, “Yes.”
“…Even though you misunderstand me so deeply, I’m still quite happy.”
“Why?”
“Because at least I’m still in your thoughts.”
Now it was Roswiser’s turn to be speechless.
“Casmod, I actually preferred you when you were unruly and always claiming you’d chop me up. Can you please go back to that?”
Roswiser sighed, “Just say what you want to do. No need to pretend with sweet talk.”
Because if you keep going, I might actually take it seriously.
“Hey, what do you mean pretend? I’m being sincere here!” Leon explained.
“Oh please, you’re just a three-minute hotshot. Once you don’t achieve your goal, you won’t be saying it every day.”
Seeing that Roswiser still didn’t believe him, Leon started to get a bit anxious.
“Okay, Mother Dragon, since you’ve said that—”
Roswiser raised her pretty eyebrows.

“Then I’ll say it to you every day.”

“I want to say it for ten years, twenty years, thirty years, until the day I’m buried, I’ll keep saying these cheesy lines to annoy you! Just to prove that you underestimated me!”
Looking at his serious and determined expression, Roswiser knew he wasn’t bluffing.
He really seemed intent on telling her sappy things for a lifetime!
Roswiser was momentarily stunned, her silver tail unconsciously curling slightly.
She quietly grasped her skirt, desperately suppressing her inner flustered shyness.
“You… do you think saying this will scare me? You dare say it, I dare listen!”
The couple’s eyes met, and the air seemed to crackle with invisible sparks.
After a moment of staring, they both turned their heads away.
“Immature man.”
Roswiser mumbled and then stood up, dusting off her skirt. “Alright, let’s go, have dinner.”
“What’s for dinner?”
Leon asked as he followed behind her.
“Stir-fried eggplant with carrots.”
“If you really make that dish, I swear, Roswiser, what’s getting stir-fried tonight won’t just be the carrots.”
“Eat it or not, I hate picky eaters!”
“I know, except for me.”
“Shameless!”
They bickered as they walked toward the Silver Dragon Temple.
The sunset stretched their shadows long, long.
