Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You – Chapter 324

28 Elbow Strike? Snap!

(Combo)

“Leon!!”

Since the battle began tonight, Leon had only heard those two words from Constantine’s mouth.

Crazy, mad, and seething with rage, it was as if Constantine would tear Leon to shreds the moment he got the chance.

In life, he was an extremely combative crazy dragon; in d*ath, he had become a patchwork monster, leaving him with only one emotion: “revenge.”

Leon and the Melkway sisters had been fighting this guy for dozens of rounds, throwing every trick they had at him.

Yet, not only had they failed to cause any damage, they hadn’t even seen the slightest grimace of pain from Constantine.

He was like an unyielding, pain-proof killing machine with just one objective after being revived: to k*ll Leon.

What could the living do against the dead?

After all, the opponent had nothing left to lose—including life.

A surge of thunderous power emanated from Constantine once again.

Leon had launched several attacks in just a matter of seconds, yet the outcome could be summarized simply: “Lots of noise, not much rain.”

In layman’s terms—just a skin-scraping massage.

Retreating to safety, Leon looked at the residual sparks in his hands and for the first time began to doubt his own abilities.

“Brother-in-law, can you put in a bit more effort? Are you just giving him a back rub up there?”

His teammates started piling on the pressure.

Leon, like a little bear, shrugged, “How can I put in more effort? I’m trying my best here!”

“Don’t give up, brother-in-law! We need to turn this into a comeback!” Isar transformed the tension into motivation for telling bad jokes.

Leon sighed and clapped his hands, “You’re right, but this is Constantine we’re talking about.”

“A patchwork of the steel rock mammoth and a dozen or so other dangerous species’ organs.”

“He has impregnable physical defense and can even counterattack.”

“Long-range attacks, even fiercer than when he was alive.”

“He can recover, and after scraping away a bit of bl**d, he heals up in two seconds.”

“This thing is basically the supermodel of patchwork monsters.”

In this bizarre, magic-filled, and unknown land of Samael, there was never a shortage of strong individuals.

They were the chosen ones, the only ones, the children of the updates.

But Leon Casmod was different.

For a long time, he was neither the chosen one nor the only one, and certainly not the child of the updates—

He was the father of the updates.

In past battles, General Leon had crushed almost all enemies with absurd stats.

No matter what breed of dragon you were—flying, running, swimming, blue, white, or gold—if you encountered General Leon, you’d be taken down without any room to maneuver.

Such a person was simply called a “stats monster.”

But today, Leon finally understood the meaning of “there’s always a higher mountain.”

To defeat the stats monster, you could only rely on a patchwork monster—this was practically a truth!

The steel rock mammoth’s body was the natural nemesis of Leon’s thunderous powers.

If it was just the steel rock mammoth, Leon could handle it without relying on thunder elements, using other means to subdue it.

But the problem was, the reborn Constantine was more than just a steel rock mammoth.

His new body was stitched together with the advantages of so many dangerous species; even someone as super as Leon couldn’t surpass it.

“By the way, brother-in-law, didn’t you just say you still have a big move left to use?” Isar looked at Leon.

“Yeah, but…”

“What’s wrong?”

After a pause, Isar seemed to have guessed something, “That big move of yours won’t leave you paralyzed or dead afterward, will it?”

Leon forced a smile, “Well, that’s what the book says.”

“You really are a diligent student, brother-in-law,” Isar replied with a wave of her hand, interrupting their banter.

“I think Leon is right; the situation is tricky, but it’s not a do-or-d*e moment yet,” Melkway said. “I still have a trump card left to play, but I need you guys to buy me some time.”

Leon and Isar exchanged glances.

“What’s the trump card?” Isar asked.

“Primordial Magic.”

Hearing this, Isar raised an eyebrow in surprise, “The powerful magic that was lost in the annals of history? Little Luo, when did you learn that?”

Melkway lowered her silver eyes, looking at her palms, “Well, I can’t say I’ve learned it… because so far, I’ve only been able to gather primordial power; I can’t yet use it to cast different forms of magic.”

She looked up at the approaching monster, her silver dragon eyes shining with the resilience and determination unique to queens, “But I have to try; what if it works?”

Melkway hadn’t thought of using primordial magic on a whim.

During earlier research on primordial magic with Leon, they discovered that the damage and effects made by primordial magic were fundamentally different from the mainstream magic used today.

Simply put, it was an entirely different damage mechanism.

After all, it was the ‘divine skill’ hidden away by the ancestors, so it had to be somewhat different.

So, in a situation where element magic and physical attacks were ineffective against Constantine, primordial magic might really have miraculous effects.

“Alright, my sister and I will do our best to buy you time.”

Leon believed in her; after all the practice with primordial magic, it was finally going to come into play.

Melkway nodded, then started gathering primordial power.

Leon and Isar charged toward the monster once more.

With his remaining magic power dwindling, Leon could only resort to physical techniques to stall.

Isar transformed into her dragon form and confronted Constantine head-on.

The pair coordinated well, effectively delaying the patchwork monster.

However, this was just temporary.

They couldn’t compete with a revenge machine that only knew how to k*ll in terms of endurance and stamina.

Right now, all they could do was stretch the delay until Melkway had gathered enough primordial power.

“Roar!—”

Constantine roared, swinging his thick tail, sending the dragon-form Isar flying several meters.

Leon seized the opportunity from Constantine’s attack and swiftly unleashed the Fifth Gate of the Nine Gates, ‘Habitual Star,’ landing a precise strike on Constantine’s side rib.

Although this dealt some damage, it wasn’t fatal and only served to further enraged the monster.

Constantine snarled and swung his giant arm like that of a hellfire giant at Leon.

Leon leaped just in time to dodge it, but he still felt the shockwave from the attack.

After the skirmish, both Leon and Isar were sporting new injuries.

On the other hand, Constantine’s health bar hadn’t budged!

Meanwhile, in the distance, Scott, who was overseeing the battle, had popped open some champagne.

“Fair, if I were to return with Leon’s head, how do you think Lord Andi would reward me?”

The Iron Wing Dragon King shot a glance at the guy beside him, clearly uninterested in the types of rewards the human world could offer.

He only knew it was best not to get too excited before thoroughly defeating the enemy.

“Probably quite generously, Mr. Scott,” Fair replied.

Scott chuckled, “I’ve never seen Leon look so ragged. Back in the Dragon Slayer Army, he was the most arrogant one.”

“Is that so?” Fair responded flatly.

People on opposing sides often had biased evaluations; Fair knew this all too well.

Just as Scott was about to continue celebrating, Fair’s brow furrowed, pointing to the distant battlefield.

“They seem to have a new move, Mr. Scott.”

“A new move?”

Scott squinted, looking over.

Sure enough, the silver-haired woman appeared to be accumulating a power completely different from before.

Scott’s eyes darted, and he immediately realized what she was gathering. “Is… that primordial power? That silver dragon has actually mastered primordial power?!”

Fair scratched his temple; of course, he recognized that the power Melkway was channeling was primordial power, because he had stolen a portion of the Noah power that the reconnaissance team painstakingly acquired in the Extreme North.

Similarly, Fair was also somewhat astonished.

A dragon king who had never encountered Noah’s power could actually use primordial power…

This was truly incredible.

“Well then, Mr. Scott, can the ultimate biological weapon your empire created withstand the attack of primordial power?” Fair asked.

Cold sweat trickled down Scott’s brow as he swallowed hard, lowering his voice, “Who said it has to withstand it?”

“Oh? You mean this killing machine actually knows tactics?”

“Of course, it’s not just some mindless fusion zombie. Just wait and see, Constantine will definitely complete this mission perfectly.”

Having said that, Scott still quietly wiped his forehead.

The shadow Leon had cast on the empire had been significant; who knew what miraculous techniques this silver dragon wife of his would have?

On the battlefield, Melkway held the pure white primordial power.

Leon stared at that power, the light reflected in his slightly trembling pupils.

In previous practices, Melkway had never gathered primordial power of such high purity.

It seemed like this time, his wife was really giving it her all.

The wind of primordial power gently tousled her silver hair, and her vertical dragon eyes were resolute.

“Time to go.”

As soon as the words fell, the queen transformed into a silver shadow, swiftly closing in on Constantine.

And for the first time, the creature that had previously known no fear felt the ominous presence of pure power.

Primordial power was the mysterious force passed down from the dragon race’s ancestors, possessing a bloodline-level suppression over dragons.

Even if the opponent’s dragon features were now reduced to just a head, it still had a significant suppressive effect.

Melkway’s figure flickered, and before Constantine could react, she leaped up and released the purest form of primordial power.

The light instantly enveloped Constantine.

The visual effect wasn’t as flashy as those elemental spells, but everyone present was deeply awed by this force.

Even Melkway herself found it hard to believe.

“The strength of the primordial… really is formidable.”

Not long after, the light gradually dissipated.

And Constantine was nowhere to be seen.

Melkway frowned. “How could this happen…”

Leon and Isar rushed forward. “Did it work?”

“It’s disintegrated to dust, it should have worked,” Isar said.

But Melkway shook her head. “It’s strange… my attack clearly hit him just now, but then—”

Thud—

Thud—

Heavy, oppressive footsteps suddenly echoed from the side.

The three turned to look.

There stood the chaotic monster.

Even with half its body blown away by Melkway’s earlier attack, it showed no signs of stopping.

Isar stared at the bloody, torn-up beast, “How did it withstand the attack of the primordial power…”

“No, it didn’t withstand it,” Leon said. “It just… escaped.”

“Escaped? In such close proximity, even a speed-focused silver dragon like Little Luo couldn’t escape; how did such a bulky body teleport away in an instant?”

Leon let out a slow breath and then… burst into laughter.

The Melkway sisters were startled.

What, what’s going on here?

Did he get hit on the head in the fight?

How could he laugh after the attack that could’ve resolved this crisis didn’t produce the expected outcome?

“Leon, did you… think of something?” Melkway panted, her body now extremely weak from expending so much magic.

“Constantine didn’t teleport away.”

Leon slowly raised his hand, pointing to its chest. “He used spatial magic.”

“Spatial magic?”

The Melkway sisters followed Leon’s gesture.

On the half body left of Constantine’s chest, they noticed a glowing black dragon scale.

It was the result of Melkway’s previous move, which had smashed through the steel rock mammoth’s body and revealed that scale.

Melkway’s thoughts stirred, “That… that’s Blay’s Heartguard Dragon Scale!”

Black Sun Dragon King Blay, one of the dragon kings adept at spatial magic, had once been taken down by Leon alongside the Chaos Dragon King Jagers.

“I said it; stitching together so many dangerous species and even dragon kings’ heads, there’s no way you can do that without some high-tech trick!”

Leon stepped forward. “This also explains why the guy suddenly showed up at the Red Dragon Holy Temple to launch this surprise attack—he was using spatial magic.”

“Wait, wait a minute, Leon!”

Melkway anxiously said, “Even if we understand his body structure now, we still have no way to defeat him. I… I don’t have enough strength left to gather primordial power again.”

There was some self-reproach in her tone.

“Don’t worry, dear, we’ve already won.”

“What did you say…”

“I mean, we’ve already won.”

Not that line, you idiot, it’s the stuff before ‘we’ve already won’ that’s important.

“Brother-in-law, what are you planning to do?” Isar asked.

Leon slowly raised his right hand, “It’s not what I’m planning to do; it’s what I’ve already done.”

Isar didn’t understand.

But Melkway, after a moment of thought, finally understood what Leon meant.

“So that’s how it is…” she murmured softly, a smile of relief appearing on her face.

Constantine, dragging its damaged body, charged at Leon again.

And this time, Leon’s counterattack was simply—

A snap of his fingers.

Snap!

A spark of electricity danced at his fingertip.

At the same time, Blay’s Heartguard Dragon Scale emitted a blue glow.

The light grew brighter, and in the next second—

Boom!!

Constantine’s body was instantly engulfed by the explosion triggered by the Heartguard Dragon Scale.

The organs and limbs of various dangerous species were blown to smithereens.

Lightning intertwined, shimmering lights twisted, and smoke billowed out.

“Holy… Little Luo, if your husband had this ability, why didn’t he show it earlier? Look at the trouble we went through!”

Melkway shook her head and chuckled, “He only realized he could do this after seeing Blay’s Heartguard Dragon Scale.”

“Eh… I still don’t get it.”

“I’ll explain it to you slowly later.”

So it turns out that when he knew the empire would recover the Heartguard Dragon Scale, he intentionally didn’t destroy it to keep this surprise tactic ready…

Melkway looked proudly at the man standing against the flames, shaking off the residual lightning from his right hand, and stepping forward to place his foot on Constantine’s head once again.

“I told you, resurrecting and winning isn’t enough; taking the championship is what counts.”

XX

Truth be told, I actually wanted to write more, to let General Leon elaborate on how he took down Old Constantine, to keep this act going.

But right now, my body is really feeling it; my back hurts enough that my face is starting to look a bit grotesque…

So that’s it for today; I’ll let General Leon continue his act in tomorrow’s update and shatter any doubts that “this guy is just a reckless brute”!
