Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You – Chapter 380

84. Just Saving a World on a Whim

Noia felt like something was off with her body.

Her recent increase in appetite could be explained by “growing” or maybe “more training.”

But as days passed, she noticed that every morning she woke up feeling tremendously tired.

This had never happened before! Even during the toughest training times, she used to spring out of bed every morning, full of energy and motivation—

Seriously, don’t question the stamina of a top-tier student; becoming one requires a sturdy physique!

So… was the fatigue because of that strange dream…?

Noia rarely dreamt; her sleep quality was top-notch, only stirred when Moon would cuddle up to her.

But could dreaming actually mess with her recovery?

She was completely clueless about it.

If it was just plain old fatigue, with her constitution, she should’ve bounced back in a couple of days.

Yet, nearly half a month had gone by, and her condition was only getting worse.

Finally, the top-tier student decided it was time to consult Dad for help.

After all, he always had a fix for various problems.

Of course, she didn’t want to worry her parents, so she didn’t directly mention her little health hiccup.

She had her suspicions that her recent physical changes and that bizarre dream might have something to do with the Primal Dragon King ruins event from half a month ago.

So, she thought it best to let Dad take the hint and dig into that topic.

Noia found Leon in Roswiser’s private library, helping Moon and Little Light review next semester’s lessons.

“Good morning, big sis!”

Little Light was the first to notice her arrival and looked up to greet her.

“Good morning, sister! You finally woke up!”

Moon also put down her books, leapt off her chair, and dashed over, tail wagging, to grab Noia’s hand.

Noia smiled and nodded, joining the desk where her father and sisters were studying.

“Good morning, Dad.” Noia greeted Leon.

Her formality had transformed from “father” to the much sweeter “Dad.”

Thanks to Little Light’s influence, “Dad” just rolled off her tongue better.

“Good morning.”

Leon responded warmly. About to invite Noia to join their little “study group,” he noticed his eldest daughter’s somewhat pale complexion and the hint of fatigue etched on her brow.

He opened his mouth to ask, but glancing at the other two daughters, he pivoted and said,

“Noia, why don’t we go pick out a few books?”

“Okay!”

“Moon, Little Light, you stay here and study. If you have any questions, just ask Dad when we get back.”

“Yes, Dad!”

Once satisfied with his instructions, Leon stood up and led Noia over to the bookshelf.

The two of them casually picked books from the shelves, but it was really a cover—Leon didn’t want Noia to share her discomfort in front of her sisters.

Noia, being a clever little dragon, caught on to his intention immediately, and it just so happened she wanted to ask him something privately.

Before long, Noia dropped her book choices and turned to Leon, saying,

“Thanks, Dad.”

Leon lowered the book he was holding, looking at his daughter, “No problem. Now that it’s just us two, can you tell me what’s going on?”

Noia ruffled her hair, gathering her thoughts, and said,

“I keep having the same dream.”

“The same dream? What’s it about?”

“It seems to be about a war, a war that happened a long, long time ago.”

The father and daughter chatted as they strolled past rows of shelves, arriving at the floor-to-ceiling windows on one side of the library.

Warm sunlight poured down on Noia, making her feel a little more at ease, but her little face remained serious,

“In that war, different dragon clans battled fiercely over resources and land, leading to a drastic decline in our numbers.”

“At the end of the dream, a giant white dragon appears, reclining atop the highest mountain in the icy plains, ending the brutal war with absolute majesty and power.”

“I want to try and find some information about this white dragon, but its appearance in the dream is too vague for me to track anything down.”

Leon listened quietly, not rushing to provide his thoughts or guesses.

For now, Noia was only discussing her dream; she hadn’t reached the crucial part yet, so he decided to let her keep going.

“And ever since I started having this dream repeatedly, I wake up every morning feeling exhausted, really worn out.”

Noia frowned slightly, looking up at Leon with eyes that seemed to scream for help. “I mulled over it for days and finally decided to tell you, Dad. Do you have any way to help me stop having this dream?”

Leon’s expression turned serious as he stroked his chin, deep in thought.

What Noia had just described about the battlefield was likely a memory from the dragon clans’ civil war thousands of years ago.

And the ‘white dragon’ that ended this war? That’s the Primal Dragon King, Noah.

Leon knew this because, when Roswiser began practicing Primal Power, he helped her gather a ton of ancient texts about it.

Among those texts were stories about Noah, the ancient king.

He was the ancestor of the dragon race, the hero who halted the civil war, and also the very first Dragon King in their history.

His power nurtured the land of dragons, influencing their descendants for generations up until today.

Such an illustrious ancestor would be celebrated in the human world, deserving the finest honors, and no matter how many times textbooks are updated, this legendary figure will always have a seat at the table.

But why on earth would this piece of internal conflict history show up in Noia’s dreams…?

Leon did have a clue, but he felt Noia should come to her own conclusions. He continued,

“Controlling dreams can be a dangerous endeavor. Trying it could lead to you being unable to shed the pleasure of controlling everything in the dream. Before you know it, a dream controller can’t tell reality from a dream anymore.”

“So, before we brainstorm on how to stop you from dreaming this dream, let’s figure out why you’re dreaming it in the first place.”

Noia blinked, a little lost as she asked, “It’s just a dream. There’s no logic or reason to it. Can we actually find out why I’m dreaming this?”

Leon shook his head. “It’s not just a dream, Noia. It’s a piece of real history that occurred.”

He had no plans to hide this from Noia.

He knew his clever eldest daughter would have already sensed something was off, having had that same dream for so long.

So they just decided to get straight to the point without any riddles.

“Real… history?”

As expected, Noia was only mildly surprised.

“Yeah.”

Leon briefly explained to Noia about the Primal Dragon King and the civil war.

After listening, Noia nodded contemplatively, “So, the white dragon in my dream is the Primal Dragon King?”

Pausing, she added, “Mom gave me the same name as this dragon king…”

“Yeah, after all, Noah is a hero of the entire dragon race. Mom hopes you can grow to be as excellent a warrior as he is.”

What else could Dad say, right?

But the real situation should be:

False dragon race hero, Noah;

Real dragon race hero, Leon Casmod!

Time-traveling, saving his wife and daughters, and casually rescuing a dragon race too—General Leon can really do it all while saving his achievements for the shadows.

Noia raked her fingers through her hair, pouting, muttering,

“But compared to some Primal Dragon King, I’d much rather be like you, Dad—Ouch! Ouch…”

Leon panicked and rushed to support Noia, “What’s wrong? Headache?”

Noia gently rubbed her temples, “I don’t know why, but my head just suddenly hurt for a second… Maybe I really haven’t been resting well lately.”

Leon sweetly rubbed his daughter’s little head, “Feeling better now?”

“Yeah, it just hurt for a moment; I’m fine.”

“Good.”

(A certain ancient king: Using my name while wishing to become someone else? You little hatchlings sure need some lessons!)

About Noia and the ancestor’s setup: it’s not possession, and Noia won’t log out temporarily. I’ll slowly unfold the story, so there’s no need to worry, everyone!
