That’s a bunny girl! (Leon)
“Sister, you won!”
Moon excitedly jogged over and dove into Noia’s arms.
Helena and Little Light joined in, showering her with congratulations.
The little dragon girls surrounded their Princess, celebrating with much fanfare.
But amidst the excitement, Noia’s eyes flickered with a hint of confusion and astonishment.
However, she quickly composed herself and began to spin in circles, hand in hand with her sister and bestie.
“Wow, brother-in-law, managing to withstand three rounds against my genius niece’s onslaught? I hereby declare you the third strongest of the Silver Dragon Race!”
Leon just chuckled at his big sister’s teasing.
But as he calculated, he felt something wasn’t quite right.
“I get being second because Noia beat me, but why am I third?”
“Second place is your wife.”
“Got it.”
Family status –1.
After Isha’s playful jab, she joined the little dragon girls in their celebration.
Roswiser strolled over to Leon and whispered, “We did agree you’d let Noia win, but I didn’t think you’d lose… this quickly.”
Leon snorted and sighed, “You haven’t seen the half of it.”
The Queen raised an eyebrow, “What do you mean?”
“Actually, I didn’t plan to lose on Noia’s third attack.”
Leon absentmindedly touched the spot where his bell used to be.
Recalling the earlier events, he continued, “Her third attack was just like the first, so it was easy to counter. I intended to make a show of it afterward, saying something like, ‘You can only use the same trick on Dad once.’”
Roswiser stifled a laugh, listening intently. “Then what happened?”
“Then… Noia pulled a move I didn’t see coming—her tail. And it was sneaky too, came from a direction I couldn’t anticipate.”
Roswiser pondered for a moment and concluded, “So to put it simply, you got thoroughly captured by our daughter, right?”
“…”
Leon’s mouth twitched slightly. “I mentioned all that just to cover that fact up, and you had to spell it out.”
But it wasn’t entirely accurate.
Because before Noia’s successful attack, Leon had plenty of opportunities to snatch back the bell.
He just chose not to.
And Noia’s tail sneak attack truly caught him off guard.
“Man, if I’d known, I would’ve dodged that tail of hers.”
“If only you had let me fit you with a fake tail.”
Roswiser took the chance to bring up old grievances, grinning, “I told you five years ago, but you didn’t listen.”
“What’s the deal? If I had a tail, you’d want to get tangled up with me, right, Your Majesty?”
The Queen’s cheeks flushed as she retorted, playfully nudging his arm, “Stop talking nonsense! Who wants to coil up with you like a snake? Gross!”
“You’re lying. I’ve seen those dragon romance novels in your study—whenever the main couple gets passionate, they wrap their tails around each other and can’t break free.”
“Shut it, Human! I don’t want to get mixed up with your tail!”
The couple bantered back and forth.
After a few jabs, Leon suddenly remembered something,
“Oh right, that promise you made me in the cellar still counts, right?”
Roswiser blinked; she knew exactly what he was talking about.
“Of course…”
“Not counting anymore.”
Roswiser crossed her arms, an impish smile on her lips.
“Why isn’t it counting? We agreed!”
“Because our precious daughter won fair and square; you didn’t throw the game, so it’s off the table.” Roswiser continued to tease him.
“No way, that’s dodging.”
“Not dodging! You were just careless—not only did you lose the bell, but also—”
Roswiser tiptoed, leaned in close to Leon’s ear, gently pinching his earlobe as she whispered,
“An opportunity to spend a wonderful night with a bunny girl.”
Yes, back in the cellar, to spark the Dog Man’s competitive spirit, Roswiser agreed that if Noia secured a win, she’d dress up again as a bunny girl.
And true to Roswiser’s wishes, Leon was taken down by his big sister, and Noia got the Black Holy Stone.
This story teaches us:
How crucial it is to master your partner’s XP.
Roswiser savored Leon’s despondent expression.
To him, it felt like he’d lost both a game championship and a bunny girl in one day.
Truly tragic, almost as heartbreaking as not being able to take down the Dragon King.
“Okay, okay, just teasing you.”
Of course, Roswiser wouldn’t go back on her word to her silly captive.
She just wanted to see that pitiful little look on Leon’s face.
Sigh, a queen has such simple pleasures; she’ll seize every opportunity.
Roswiser stepped closer and linked her arm with Leon’s.
“I’ll wear it for you when we get home, does that work?”
Leon rolled his eyes, “As if I really want to see it.”
“Oh really? Since you’re not that interested, perfect, because I think that bunny suit is a bit tight anyway.”
“…”
Roswiser stifled a laugh.
It seemed getting Leon to say, “Please wear the bunny suit for me” was an impossible feat.
He’d rather live with regret for not seeing the bunny girl than sacrifice his dignity to beg Roswiser.
At most, he’d grumble a bit.
“I just adore how stubborn you are, you dope.”
If it weren’t for all the people around, Roswiser would’ve given Leon a peck on the cheek.
A reward for him taking down big sister and letting Noia win.
While the couple was being mushy, several staff members approached them.
“Sir, please hand over the Black Holy Stone you hid; that’s a game prop, not made from real Night Spirit Crystal. We’ll need it for the next game.”
“Oh, okay.”
Leon briskly made his way to the suit of armor by the conference hall, removed the greave, and pulled out the hidden Black Holy Stone.
This left the others dumbfounded.
“So the Black Holy Stone was hidden right at the entrance of the conference hall!”
“How did we never think to check there after entering and exiting so many times?”
“Princess, please let us play again!”
The crowd sighed in regret.
Whether they wanted to retrieve the Black Holy Stone or destroy it or take it away, no one had anticipated that the precious item was practically under their noses.
Even Isha never guessed it.
“Brother-in-law, I never noticed how good you are at hiding things.”
“Yep, I’m quite skilled at it.”
This brings to mind the bunny girl pictures General Leon has hidden; years later, they still haven’t been found—
Even Leon himself is about to forget where he hid them.
Back to the story.
Leon returned the prop version of the Black Holy Stone to the staff.
Then another staff member presented the real ‘Black Holy Stone,’ the Night Spirit Crystal, in an exquisite wooden box to Noia.
“Congratulations, Miss Noia, for achieving the ultimate victory in this game of ‘Castle Secrets.’ This Black Holy Stone is now yours.”
Noia politely accepted with both hands, “Thank you.”
She opened the box, revealing a perfectly shaped black orb.
The Night Spirit Crystal decoration was indeed very beautiful.
Noia gently brushed her fingers over the surface of the crystal—it was cool to the touch.
As her fingertips made contact, a subtle reaction seemed to occur within her magical pathways.
“The Primal Power you’ve refined for so long has changed your magic circuits. That reaction you just felt was the remnant Primal Power in your circuits waking it up. No worries, it confirms this is indeed a genuine Night Spirit Crystal.”
The Ancestor explained.
“I see.”
Noia gazed intently at the crystal-clear orb, quietly feeling the resonance between her Primal Power and it.
