Chapter 53: Lighten Up
After waking up, the first thing Leon did was sort out some aftershocks.
He looked at his two daughters and solemnly said, “Noia, after I’m gone, you have to take care of Moon. She’s still young and clueless. As your sister, teach her a bit, okay?”
“Moon, you need to listen to your sister and don’t make her angry. She’ll come back to keep you company every weekend, so be good at home.”
“Ugh, what a worry! The thing I’m most anxious about is you two sisters. A little kid just over one year old! How could your mom let me—”
Noia interrupted, “You’re just going to stay at Mom’s for one night. Why act like you’re headed to the execution ground?”
“Honestly, in a way, going to the execution ground might be better than heading to your mother’s room. At least getting my head chopped off is a one-time act.”
Moon, listening to Dad’s description, suddenly got excited and exclaimed, “Oh, I get it! Mom wants to eat Dad, right?”
“…Huh?”
“I read in a book that female mantises eat the male mantis after they get married!”
“My daughter, your mom indeed wants to eat me, but it’s not that kind of eating. And even if she really wanted to, why are you so happy about it?!”
Great Filial Daughter, without your filial piety, how can Dad sleep?
“Okay, stop talking nonsense with your daughters. It sounds like I’m a terrifying monster.”
A lazy voice drifted in from behind, and Leon felt a chill on his back, awkwardly turning his head.
The silver-haired beauty leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed over her chest, wearing a casual spaghetti strap nightgown, her feet adorned with white slippers sporting dragon wings.
“I just suddenly felt like discussing some… interesting things with you tonight.”
Leon’s eyelids twitched slightly, “Interesting… things?”
“Exactly, like… the birth of the universe.”
Leon: “You mean the birth of life, right?”
Roswiser: “The secrets of the world.”
Leon: “You mean the secrets of the human body, right?”
Roswiser: “Anyway, you have five more minutes to say goodbye to the girls.”
“Say… goodbye? What a novel term…”
Roswiser chuckled, waved, and turned back into her room.
Leon sighed and turned to pat Moon’s little head, wanting to say something but hesitating.
Ah, saying too much just brings tears.
So, amidst the confused looks of the two little ones, Dad walked into Mom’s room.
That figure, determined, resolute, even exuding an air of generous martyrdom.
Moon blinked her pretty big eyes, “What are Dad and Mom really going to do?”
Noia took Moon’s hand, “I don’t know either. Let them be, silly adults.”
—
Leon stepped into Roswiser’s room.
It was evening, and with no lights on, the bl**d-red sunlight filtered through the curtains, washing over the living room.
Roswiser peeked from the kitchen doorway, the faucet running as if she was cleaning something. “Oh, you’re here so soon, take a seat. I’ll just wash a couple of cups and come over.”
Leon didn’t answer, silently walking to the living room and sitting down on the sofa.
On the coffee table in front of him were the answer sheets they had used for a recent compatibility test.
Roswiser hadn’t cleared them away.
It didn’t seem like she forgot, but more like she… occasionally took them out to peek at.
Just as Leon reached to grab one answer sheet for a quick review, he heard footsteps coming from the kitchen.
He quickly pulled his hand back, sitting up straight.
Roswiser, with bare legs adorned with dragon wing slippers, walked leisurely over, one hand holding a wine bottle and the other two goblets.
She sat beside Leon, poured some wine into each goblet, then offered one to him, “Want a drink?”
Leon shook his head.
“What? I remember you promised me that if you lost, you’d grant me a request. Now you won’t even drink?”
Leon pursed his lips, hesitated, but eventually took the goblet.
Roswiser smiled satisfactorily, “That’s more like it! A good quality is to honor bets.”
She held her goblet, took a sip, and continued, “Actually, I was kind of hoping you’d win.”
Leon was taken aback, looking up at her, “Why?”
“If you had won, I’d have to give you a month off, and during that month, you could properly recuperate. When you get better, life would be even more fun~”
She pretended to sigh disappointedly, “Ah, it’s a pity that the former strongest Dragon Slayer fell to me—”
As she spoke, Roswiser made a “victory sign” with her hand, “Twice, in fact.”
Leon tried to argue, “The first time, I was ambushed; yesterday I… wasn’t in the right condition.”
“It’s okay. You can come back and lose a few more times; I love it when you lose but still refuse to accept it.”
Leon wasn’t planning to continue this debate with Roswiser, setting the goblet down on the coffee table. “Alright, just get on with whatever you want to do.”
“Oh, you’re so eager to be tormented by me?”
Roswiser smiled faintly, glancing at the goblet on the coffee table. “Aren’t you going to drink?”
“Nope.”
“But I want you to drink, Leon.”
Leon glanced at Roswiser and recognized that this was her final “warning.”
If he defied her any longer, she might just get serious.
After pondering, Leon slowly reached for the goblet to take a drink, hoping tonight would go a little smoother.
“Wait a minute, it’s too late; I don’t want you to drink this cup anymore.”
“What do you mean—”
Splash—
Roswiser poured the wine all over her chest.
The bright red liquid flowed through her curves, soaking her nightgown, drowning the dragon pattern.
She laughed, swinging around to sit on Leon’s lap, wrapping her arms around his neck.
“Drink up; you must finish it all~”
Roswiser’s fragrance, intertwined with the rich scent of wine, invaded Leon’s nostrils.
Absolutely wonderful, intoxicating.
The dragon pattern subtly began to shimmer, hinting at something magical.
Roswiser eagerly leaned closer to Leon, “Finish it off, Leon.”
With nowhere else to escape, Leon leaned in slowly.
Roswiser tilted her head back, closed her eyes, savoring the moment.
A moment later, she suddenly gripped Leon’s chin, forcing him to look up at her.
A bit of wine still lingered at the corner of Leon’s mouth, and Roswiser chuckled, “Open your mouth.”
“What for…”
“Open up.”
Leon couldn’t defy her, obediently parting his lips.
Roswiser bit her lip, bl**d trickling down, landing straight into Leon’s mouth.
Leon gasped, “Wha—what is this—”
Roswiser wiped away the bl**d at the corner of her mouth. “Do you remember the trick you used on me two years ago?”
“bl**d… bl**d charm?!”
“Looks like you remember quite well. Yes, that’s right, the bl**d Charm. I’ve been studying and researching this charm lately, and even though it can only be used once in a lifetime, I can’t wait to turn the tables on you.”
Leon swallowed hard, seriously cautioning her, “Don’t say I didn’t warn you, Mother Dragon, the bl**d Charm not only has the limitation of being used once in a lifetime but also comes with a major drawback: the caster will fall into an extremely weakened state afterward. You really need to think this through.”
Roswiser smiled calmly, “Oh, I know, but the extent of weakness depends on the caster’s physical condition.”
She gently wiped the wine from Leon’s mouth with her finger, “Your battered body back then definitely wouldn’t have withstood the backlash of the bl**d Charm. But I’m different; I’m the Dragon King, and the bl**d Charm hardly affects me. So, my dear Dragon Slayer—”
Roswiser straightened up, cradling Leon’s face, making him look directly into her eyes.
In those silver pupils, ripples of affection began to swell.
“The game has begun, my delightful captive, Mr. Leon Casmod.”
—
Chapter 54: I Want to Kiss You, Please
Leon knew all too well how proactive one could get after being hit by the bl**d Charm.
After all, he had experienced it firsthand two years ago.
But he never expected that two years later, Roswiser would completely flip the script on him.
After being locked in by that ripple of affection, Leon’s previously tense body immediately relaxed.
The dragon pattern on his chest began to resonate.
Roswiser’s nightgown was so thin that a faint purple halo radiated from it, perfectly framing her soft, enticing curves.
Roswiser giggled, pinching Leon’s nose, “Before, I always forced you and threatened you, but soon, you’ll be begging like a clingy puppy, trying to coax something out of me~”
Her fingers traced down from Leon’s nose, gliding over his lips, jaw, and Adam’s apple, finally stopping at his chest. “What to do~ Oh brave, unfaltering Dragon Slayer~ Will you be able to control yourself in a bit? Hmm?”
Watching the light shining brighter on Roswiser’s chest, Leon knew he was ultimately going to be captured.
He clenched his fists, nails digging into his skin, trying to stay awake with the pain.
Of course, this was just useless effort before succumbing.
In his eyes, Roswiser gradually transformed from a cunning, scheming Mother Dragon to his adorable, delicate wife.
She was so beautiful, so captivating that every beautiful word could easily apply to her.
Oh, how he wanted to… hug her… kiss her… and become one with her—
Rustle—
Leon finally relaxed his grip, his hand sliding up Roswiser’s silky thigh, brushing over her warm knee pit, gliding past her smooth nightgown, and finally wrapping around her slender waist.
He stared hungrily at her luscious, glistening lips, inching closer.
Roswiser also slowly leaned in.
The next second, he felt Roswiser’s warm breath gently fanning his face.
However—
A sudden chill brushed against his lips.
Roswiser gently pressed a finger to his mouth.
She smirked, “Want to kiss me?”
Leon’s pupils trembled as he opened his mouth weakly, “I want…”
“How much do you want? Hmm?”
“Really want… really want…”
“But I won’t let you kiss me.”
Roswiser didn’t seem in a hurry to move on to the next step.
She thoroughly enjoyed teasing Leon with this “almost, but not quite” method, fueling the fire in his heart even more.
Roswiser slowly lifted her right hand, a flash of light transforming into a mirror.
Leon glanced at the mirror, taking a heavy breath, “Wha—what is this…”
“A magical gadget that can temporarily capture certain scenes; I bought it when we were last at Sky City.”
Roswiser positioned the mirror on the back of the sofa, perfectly angled to capture Leon’s descent into temptation.
After setting the mirror, Roswiser retracted her hand, lightly brushing against Leon’s cheek while softly asking,
“Now, say it again, my dear Dragon Slayer, do you… want to kiss me?”
This Mother Dragon was clearly looking to document his embarrassing history to torture him later.
Leon’s remaining rationality screamed for him to refuse.
Yet the power of the bl**d Charm could even manipulate Roswiser, let alone him.
The thought of getting close to Roswiser felt like a poison piercing his brain, incessantly triggering his desires.
So, even though his heart rejected it a thousand times, the words that slipped out were,
“I want to kiss you… really want to kiss you, Roswiser…”
“You can’t just say it; you need to ask me nicely, charm me, make me happy, and then I’ll let you kiss me.”
“Please… Roswiser, I’m begging you…”
Roswiser grasped his neck, leaning close so their silver and black eyes met, each seeing their reflection in the other’s pupils.
“This is how you plead with girls? Hmph, very well, it’s been twenty years of just fighting for you; making you charm me is quite a challenge.”
Roswiser gently blew a breath against Leon’s face.
The fragrant scent from her mouth brushed against him, stirring his restless heart.
Instinctively, Leon tightened his hold around Roswiser’s waist, trying once more for that kiss.
However, Roswiser merely tilted her head back slightly, revealing her long, graceful neck.
Leon found himself unable to move higher, only able to kiss her neck.
But at this point, simply touching her was enough to satisfy him.
He kissed Roswiser’s neck like it was the most precious treasure, feeling her pulse on his lips.
Roswiser tossed her hair aside, giving Leon more room for his explorations.
She laughed freely, “Look at you now, Leon, so flustered. To kiss a Mother Dragon, you’ve thrown all your standards out the window. How can you hold up your pride and dignity as a Dragon Slayer?”
Leon stuttered, the remnants of his reason momentarily reclaiming his body’s control.
But it was only a fleeting moment.
He buried his face deeper, instinctively trying to escape Roswiser’s words.
But Roswiser was not going to let him enjoy that so easily.
She raised a hand, resting it against Leon’s forehead, slowly pushing him away.
“So this is what it felt like when I fell victim to your bl**d Charm.”
Roswiser said lightly, “I bet you never expected you’d find yourself in this position one day, my Dragon Slayer hero?”
Leon had completely given up on resisting now.
He grabbed Roswiser’s wrist, brought her finger to his lips, and bit down.
The bite wasn’t hard; he just desperately wanted some “physical contact” with Roswiser.
Roswiser gasped, her brows slightly furrowed.
The fingertips are sensitive areas as they say.
She chuckled lightly, switching off the recording magic, then turning to take the unfinished red wine, downing it in one go.
After swallowing the wine, Roswiser sighed contentedly, then pulled her finger from Leon’s mouth, wrapping her arms around his shoulders once again.
“Come on, little dog Leon, let’s see your true form after this fall from grace.”
The purple ethereal glow grew increasingly mesmerizing, and Leon was utterly lost in the beautiful trap set by Roswiser.
Falling deeper and deeper.
Deeper and deeper…
In this haze, his memory seemed to return to two years ago.
In that dark, damp dungeon, when he first met Roswiser.
That scene, reminiscent of a fallen prisoner pleading for a saint’s mercy.
Perhaps from the moment they gazed at each other, the gears of fate had already begun to turn.
Everything, all of it, was destined.
