Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You – Chapter 98

101 This Model Is So Good at Acting!

(3K)

While walking to the shopping street, Roswiser asked, “By the way, did you see where Noia and the others were hiding just now?”

She meant “clandestinely observing” and “secretly collecting materials,” but despite the entire event, Roswiser hadn’t caught a glimpse of her daughters.

She felt a tad worried; if Noia failed to gather materials due to some unforeseen accident, not only would her family essay be delayed, but even the wonderful performance with Leon would go to waste.

Leon shook his head. “I did see them before we entered the theater, but once we got inside, I lost sight of them.”

Roswiser blinked; since they’d followed them to the theater, there shouldn’t be much of a problem.

Still, she was a bit surprised. “You actually spotted them? Where were they before going in?”

Leon shrugged nonchalantly. “Oh, just hiding in the bushes by the ice cream stand.”

“Oh… I didn’t notice.”

“Yeah, can’t blame you.”

Leon said, “As an excellent Dragon Slayer, counter-surveillance is a necessary skill.”

Roswiser shot him an amused glare. “Oh really? Then why didn’t you use your grand talent inside the theater?”

In response to Roswiser’s teasing, Leon chuckled and shot back, “Wasn’t I too busy trying to propose to you?”

Roswiser rolled her eyes and decided to ignore him.

The couple walked for over twenty minutes and arrived at a shopping street.

Shopping was an excellent date activity for them.

It perfectly combined “no need for physical contact,” “ample verbal communication,” and “long shared screen time,” among other benefits.

It was a fantastic opportunity to provide material for their good daughters.

Plus, they could also buy some new clothes.

Roswiser thought her pants were definitely… a bit tight.

Sure, it showed off her figure, but wearing them for too long might get uncomfortable.

So this was a perfect chance to pick out some suitable clothes.

As she aged and had given birth once, despite her strict body management, certain areas had indeed become plumper.

It was no big deal, but Roswiser felt the timing of this plumpness seemed a bit off.

It had already been over a year since giving birth to Noia and Moon, and only now was her figure showing signs of change?

Oh well, it might be due to lack of exercise lately—thinking of this, she glanced at Leon.

Darn that Dragon Slayer! Why couldn’t the extra weight land on him?

That’s totally his fault!

It seemed after their date, she’d need to find a time to poke at Leon about this.

As they strolled through the shopping street hand in hand, keeping an eye out for suitable clothing stores while subconsciously looking for any traces of directors’ disguises in the area.

But honestly, after the ice cream stand, Leon hadn’t spotted the girls again.

Well, they’re hiding pretty well, Leon thought. Looks like all that hide-and-seek practice wasn’t for nothing.

A group of flyer distributors approached, one of them passing a flyer to Leon.

Leon took it, glanced at the content, which promoted a store just around the next corner.

This shop looked quite upscale, and the decor was exquisite.

Leon folded the flyer away and suggested checking out that shop. Roswiser agreed.

The couple headed toward the store, completely unaware that one of the flyer distributors was secretly following them.

As soon as they stepped into the store, this distributor lifted her clothes.

There were two little dragon girls—Noia was carrying Moon, peeking around the corner to see the entrance of the store.

“This should be Dad and Mom’s second date activity, right?” Moon asked.

Noia nodded. “Perfect! Let’s follow them!”

“Yes, sister!”

The little dragon girls stealthily slipped into the clothing store.

Anna, watching them from a distance, shook her head with a smile, then walked into the store too.

She needed to keep both little princesses in her sight at all times.

Meanwhile, Leon and Roswiser were lazily browsing in the store.

Leon didn’t really have anything in mind to buy.

Previously, when he went shopping with his teacher’s wife, she would select clothes she thought suited him, and if they fit, they’d buy them.

He himself had no strong opinions on style.

However, Roswiser seemed to be intentionally heading toward the adult dragon section.

She must have something in mind to buy.

As they wandered, they inadvertently found themselves in the sleepwear section.

Because their matching couple shirts were so eye-catching, a sales associate quickly gravitated toward them.

“Hello, are you two looking for sleepwear? These are all new styles for this season!”

“We’re just browsing,” Roswiser replied.

“Just browsing, huh…”

The sales associate obviously wasn’t willing to let them off that easy. After a moment, she continued, “I see you two are a couple, sporting matching outfits, so why not check out our new couple sleepwear too?”

“Um, no thanks—”

Roswiser rarely shopped at ready-made clothing stores; she usually went to custom shops.

Caught off guard by the sales associate’s enthusiasm, she didn’t know how to decline.

Leon felt the same way.

When he shopped with his teacher’s wife, she handled the rejection, bargaining, and snagging discounts all on her own.

Leon was merely a bag-carrying tool.

Neither of them wanted to dampen the sales associate’s spirit, so they could only watch as she brought over two sets of sleepwear.

Couple-themed, onesie pajamas, complete with adorable little dragon horns on the hood.

When the sales associate showcased the back of the pajamas, Leon noticed a special design for the tail at the lower back.

How considerate—so considerate.

Too bad I won’t be using it.

“This sleepwear is a must-have at home. If you don’t want to step outside during holidays, you can totally lounge around in them without worrying about getting cold. The fabric is very skin-friendly and super comfortable to wear.”

The sales associate enthusiastically continued, “If you don’t like the tail part, it can be removed!”

Saying that, the sales associate directly detached the tail piece, revealing a zipper at the lower back of the pajamas.

She zipped it back up. “See? Just like that, it’s a no-tail version of the pajamas~”

Leon stared at that tail zipper design, thinking the person who invented this must be a genius.

Designing a zipper in such a place? It can’t just be to show off the tail, right?

“And there’s more, this sleepwear—”

“We’ll take it,” Roswiser declared.

For someone who didn’t often interact with sales associates, this was the only way to make the world quiet down a bit before they continued their date.

The sales associate’s eyes lit up. “Great! I’ll get that packaged up for you right away.”

As the sales associate went to grab a bag, the couple simultaneously let out a sigh of relief.

A moment later, the sales associate returned with the packaged clothes and handed the shopping bag to Leon.

As they were about to leave, little did they know they had underestimated the pulling power of a sales associate.

“Aren’t you going to browse for anything else?”

Leon was about to decline, saying no thanks.

But as the words formed, the sales associate’s rapid-fire questioning made him clammed up.

“Do you have any kids at home? Why not pick out a sleepwear for the little ones too?”

Geez.

Is this what a sales associate’s professionalism looks like?

Comprehensive, meticulous—if they can pull a hundred from your wallet, they’ll never take just ninety-nine.

“Noia and the others definitely need new sleepwear; they’re growing so fast,” Roswiser said.

“Alright, let’s buy two more then—one for each of the twins.”

The sales associate beamed, thrilled that they were twins. She loved to—oh, wait—she loved to serve families that were having kids!

“Okay, the young dragon sleepwear is right here; please follow me.”

The sales associate took them to the young dragon sleepwear section.

There were countless adorable pajamas to choose from, but only the sales associate could highlight them.

At this moment, the couple’s attention was focused entirely on the sales associate, completely oblivious to the two young dragon models not far behind them, far more lively than the lifeless mannequin models next door.

Thanks to their frequent games of “Red Light, Green Light,” Moon and Noia had disguised themselves as models, hiding in the store.

To avoid being discovered, they wore masks and hats, leaving only their big, expressive eyes visible.

“Sister, you’ve never beaten me at Red Light, Green Light!” Moon whispered.

“This time I will win,” Noia shot back.

“Hmph, no way!”

Noia turned her gaze toward their dad and mom, who seemed to be picking out young dragon pajamas for her and Moon.

Hmm, if familial love is filled in the essay, it will surely be a surefire hit.

Noia was quite satisfied with the impromptu addition from the two veteran actors.

Meanwhile, the sales associate had already pulled out a plethora of young dragon sleepwear sets for selection.

Leon and Roswiser looked at the colorful pajamas, thinking they were all pretty nice.

Just didn’t know if Noia and Moon would like them.

“Should we… look for them and let them pick something out?” Roswiser suggested.

Leon thought for a moment but shook his head. “Didn’t Noia’s direction say to keep it casual and natural, like they don’t even exist?”

Roswiser sighed lightly, eyeing the young dragon pajamas in her hand. “But what if they don’t like what we bring home?”

Leon looked troubled too.

He held up a young dragon pajama in front of the mirror, having often held Moon, so he could gauge her approximate size.

While he was comparing, his peripheral vision caught a glimpse of one of the young dragon models in the mirror.

He frowned slightly, not directly focusing there but just using his peripheral vision.

That little “model” was looking at him through the mirror, glancing at the pajamas in his hand. Although her body was completely still, her eyes were speaking volumes:

( ̄︿ ̄)

Leon cleared his throat; so they were disguised as mannequins? They did a pretty good job of it.

He acted as if he hadn’t noticed his little daughter and swapped out another pair of pajamas to display in front of the mirror.

Moon: ( ̄︿ ̄)

Leon switched to another set.

Moon: (* ̄︿ ̄)

Leon switched yet another set.

Sales associate: “Sir, are you not satisfied with all these choices?”

Leon merely shook his head silently.

After trying on several, finally!

Moon: ✪ω✪

Leon: “Alright! This set! Please pack it up, thank you.”

The sales associate let out a sigh of relief.

Although it took a while, they just sold four pieces of sleepwear.

Major win!

Leon carried an assortment of shopping bags behind Roswiser as they exited the store.

Darn it.

Why, after leaving his teacher’s wife, was he still unable to escape the fate of a bag-carrying tool?

So, the second item on their date checklist:
