“Let’s not be overly confident, shall we?”
“You deliberately befriended me, calculated that today only I would be at the Crown Manor, and meticulously planned all this just to k*ll me, little Yimi.” Tillysha used her knee to press against Yimi’s back. Though she cared for children, this one was clearly not an ordinary child, so she had to strike hard.
“Alright, we’ve played this little game long enough. You went too far.” Tillysha glanced at her still-bleeding thigh. “Who sent you? Why do you want to k*ll me? How much do you know about my identity? And, who are you? Why, as a Gold Elf, are you at the Coleman Academy?”
“Sounds so noble, like only those extremely wicked would want to k*ll you.” Despite the pain, Yimi didn’t refrain from retorting. “Failed, so there’s nothing more to say. Just do what you must.”
“Little Yimi, don’t act as if you’re some noble assassin ready to d*e for a cause. No matter how righteous you appear, the people hiding behind you can’t see that, and what you’re doing is anything but righteous. At best, you’re aiding the wicked. At worst, you’re just a manipulated fool.”
“According to your logic, those who harm you must be evil?”
“I don’t know if they’re evil, but anyone ready to take a life at the drop of a hat can’t be a good person.”
“It seems you’re not willing to tell the truth, huh?”
“Do you want the truth? It’s not like I can’t tell you. Truthfully speaking, assassinating you is my personal act. No one instructed me, and no one is qualified to do so.”
“So why do you want to k*ll me? We have no grudges against each other.”
“No grudges?” Yimi seemed to find talking to Tillysha a waste of time. “You really don’t remember anything, do you?”
“Then why don’t you tell me what I’ve done?” Tillysha slightly raised an eyebrow.
“Are you trying to trick me into revealing something? Fine, I’ll satisfy you. Listen up.”
“Even though you currently have amnesia, I can responsibly tell you that you were once a sin-filled criminal in the Elf Clan.” After speaking, Yimi clenched her teeth slightly.
“Really? How so?”
“You’re a sinner to the Elf Clan; you betrayed your people, deceived your kin, and killed countless Elves.”
“When the Demon Race invaded, the Elf Clan could have relied on the forest’s protection to survive. But it was you, you who removed the protection of the forest, opened the gates for the Demon Race, and caused the d*ath of countless Elves.”
“No one would have imagined that the ground of the Elf Forest would one day be stained with Elf bl**d.” Yimi’s expression did not seem like she was lying.
Tillysha listened quietly and remained calm on her face. “Then can you tell me why I would do such a thing?”
“How would I know? The greed and twisted desires in your heart are something only you understand.”
“Pu pu, then what benefit would I have from doing this? You can’t even provide any evidence proving that I opened the gate for the Demon Race,” Tillysha chuckled.
Tillysha had no memories of the original Tillysha, nor was there any evidence indicating the original Tillysha did such things. Even if it were true, what did it have to do with her, an Earth traveler?
She wasn’t taking that responsibility.
“Also, I have a question for you. About you, how did you end up at the Coleman Academy?”
“I have no obligation to tell you these things.” Yimi averted her gaze and stopped conversing with Tillysha.
“Then if you want to act, act already. So many of our kin have died, one more doesn’t matter.”
“Little friend, stop acting like a righteous martyr. Righteous people d*e for righteousness. As an assassin who failed, can you just say a bunch of nonsense and create this atmosphere?” Tillysha tapped Yimi’s forehead from behind.
This mysterious Gold Elf seemed to hate her deeply, but Gold Elves were now rarer than a bald middle-aged man’s hair. There might not be many left; maybe even the Elf Sacred Tree would become completely barren.
But this little thing attempted to stab her from behind and spat on her face, and this matter couldn’t be let go so easily.
“You want to let me go? I advise you not to entertain such thoughts. Even if you act all merciful and let me go, I won’t abandon the idea of killing you. One day, I will certainly k*ll…….”
“Shut up.” Before Yimi could finish, Tillysha slammed her to the ground. “Miss Yimi, you’re acting overly confident. You almost plunged a kn*fe into me and spat on my face. Think I’ll let you go? Do you think that’s possible?”
“Then what do you intend to do?”
“Keep quiet.” Tillysha grabbed Yimi’s hands and went to the bedside, sitting on the edge of the bed. She kicked Yimi’s ankle, making her kneel down, her b*tt sticking out facing Tillysha.
“Um!”
“Know pain now?” Tillysha chuckled softly, using her fingers to slowly roll down the sock on her thigh. She took off her socks, stepped on Yimi’s b*tt with her foot, pressing down on her so she couldn’t get up.
“You?!” Realizing she was being humiliated in such a degrading position and unable to move because of the magical restraints, Yimi was seething yet stuck in this embarrassing posture on the ground.
“Don’t move, stay down like this. All this is your fault; my leg was injured. Is it too much to ask you to serve as my little footstool for a while?” While speaking, Tillysha pulled a roll of bandage from the bedside cabinet, applied some alchemical ointment, and began to dress and disinfect her wound.
Thankfully, her room had a special alchemical ointment and bandages for disinfection; she thought she wouldn’t need them.
“Take away your smelly foot.” Surprisingly, even though defeated, the golden-haired girl displayed no defeated awareness and was still loudly shouting about honor and dignity.
Tillysha paid her no heed. Listening to the delicate yet fierce voice, she hummed an unknown tune. The louder the girl yelled, the slower her actions became.
No rush, just playing around.
By the time Tillysha finished wrapping the bandage, the Golden-haired girl’s voice had quieted down significantly.
Seeing Tillysha so unperturbed, Yimi was shocked. She had already insulted her with the strongest, most malicious, and vicious words, yet why was this woman completely unfazed?
Since that didn’t work, she would use her lifetime of swear words to give Tillysha the most insulting, denigrating, offensive, and crude title!
“Idiot!” Yimi growled, but seeing Tillysha still unmoved, Yimi was thoroughly stunned.
Indeed, a shameless woman who didn’t even flinch at such an insult!
“Tell me then, Miss Yimi, how did you infiltrate the Coleman Academy?”
“It’s none of your business.” Yimi was being forcibly knelt on by Tillysha, yet she showed an undaunted demeanor.
“I don’t care, you can tell me or not. But the situation is complicated now, and I’m fine. If others find out your identity, and you end up in danger, don’t come crying to me.”
“At least concealing your identity, that was a smart move, not as dumb as you thought.” Tillysha’s hand lightly brushed past Yimi’s ear, removing a camouflage earpiece, a kind of soft ear cover.
“Gimme that back!” The human ears disappeared, revealing the Elf’s pointed ears to Tillysha’s field of vision, and Yimi became anxious.
“I’m not interested in your little gadgets.” Tillysha put the earpiece back on Yimi’s ear.
“I’m more interested in what’s in your mind.” Why were the Gold Elves here? Where did the Gold Elves other than her and Bilodis go? Perhaps this Gold Elf in front of her knew something.
Though Tillysha didn’t know why she suddenly cared so much about the Gold Elves.
But judging by the other party’s attitude, it was clear she didn’t intend to inform her. Even if she said something, it probably wouldn’t be the truth.
“Hey, how are the other Gold Elves doing?”
“I don’t know. Even if I did, do you think I’d tell you, traitor?”
“Actually, it’s not impossible for you to know, but this position is not convenient. Face-to-face communication is basic etiquette, right?”
“Are you insulting my intelligence, little Yimi?” Tillysha giggled. “Let you turn around and hypnotize me with eye contact?”
“Even as the divine warrior of the Elves, you’re afraid of this? You’ve already tied me up, do you think I can run away?”
Tillysha smiled without responding, ignoring the other party’s provocation.
“Curious, how did you know I lost my memory, or rather, who told you I lost my memory?”
Seeing Yimi still not answering her, she realized continuing to ask would be futile; the other party wouldn’t say a single word.
She moved her foot, wrinkling her forehead as she looked at the bloody stockings, throwing them into the laundry room. Back in the room, Yimi was still lying on the ground.
“You seem to lack Divine Authority, yet you have a very high Divine Son talent.”
“You’re walking the Sorcery path, that’s quite troublesome. If I keep you near, you’ll have too many chances to escape.”
“You still want to keep me around?” Yimi seemed to have heard an extremely funny joke.
“Letting you run around everywhere is like letting a tiger back into the wild. I don’t have the patience to capture and release you seven times.”
“Then why don’t you just k*ll me?”
“k*ll you? That’s impossible. If the Elf Sacred Tree weakens, I’ll be affected too.”
“Since you won’t say anything, it’s better for me to keep you close until you cooperate.”
“Alright, no problem.” Yimi smiled. “Just be careful. Maybe one night when you’re sleeping, you’ll never wake up again.”
“You can relax on that. I definitely won’t be the one at a disadvantage, although you might not be so lucky.” Saying this, Tillysha ruffled Yimi’s hair, and her smile gave people a chilling feeling.
“Well, we’ve talked long enough. If we don’t sleep soon, the day will break. Tomorrow, I still have to catch the carriage to the Empire. We can’t afford to be late.”
“Sleep then.”
“Going to sleep? Then shouldn’t you let me go first?”
“I think you might have misunderstood something, Miss Yimi.” Tillysha got on the bed, pulling the quilt over her, smiling at the kneeling Yimi on the ground.
“I’m going to sleep. It’s nothing to do with you.”
“You… you can’t seriously expect me to stay kneeling here until you wake up, can you?!”
“Why not? You’re an Elf, not a human. Spending one night without sleep shouldn’t be a problem for you, right?” Tillysha leaned on one elbow, nonchalantly tying another strand of green magic rope to Yimi’s hands. Now, both her hands and feet were bound. She could only lie beside Tillysha’s bed in a position with her b*tt sticking out.
“You… if you think you’ll sleep soundly tonight, then go ahead and sleep.”
“Good night. See you tomorrow.” Before Yimi could continue making threats, Tillysha flexed her soft, fine waist, tied her hair into a bun, and lay down.
Not long after, her steady breathing was audible.
“?! Is she really asleep?!”
If this girl wasn’t pretending, her carefree attitude was surprising.
Actually, Yimi was mistaken. The reason Tillysha could fall asleep so easily wasn’t because she was careless, but because she didn’t take Yimi seriously at all.
“Sleep all you want. One night is enough to escape these annoying vines and take your life.”
To prevent Tillysha from testing her, Yimi deliberately waited for a while, staying completely quiet.
After confirming Tillysha was indeed asleep, Yimi began trying to escape from these vines binding her hands and feet.
These vines formed by Divine Authority looked fragile and seemed easy to break free from.
However, it wasn’t as simple as Yimi imagined. The moment she had the idea of escaping and tried to move, excruciating pain shot through her entire body, like fine silver needles piercing her from head to toe.
Yimi clenched her teeth and tried again, afraid of waking Tillysha, she endured the pain without making a sound.
Painfully trying again, she found these vines were like rubber. They looked soft but were extremely sturdy. She struggled for a long time, unable to break free, not even able to move her position. During this process, she had to endure the piercing pain.
“Tsk!” She glared fiercely back at the sleeping Tillysha facing her back.
Were all these things within her calculations? Thinking up this method to torture her!
d*mn it, Tillysha!
After struggling for some time, she felt tired and wanted to change positions to rest a bit. However, the moment she relaxed, the piercing pain shot through her body again. The golden-haired girl involuntarily inhaled sharply, straightened her back, her golden hair disheveled, and her small back trembling.
Now she understood…
This was punishment!
Making her maintain this position until dawn, unable to rest, and experiencing the sensation of a thousand needles piercing her heart if she relaxed even slightly.
What a cruel woman!
One night, that’s all. She can make it. After all, there would be plenty of chances for revenge later, and she wasn’t in any hurry.
“Father, mother, everyone…” Looking down, Yimi knelt under the moonlight. “Please rest assured, I will avenge you!”
Under the moonlight, the girl seemed to return to the little girl running happily through the vibrant fields, nestled in her mother’s peaceful and warm embrace, sleeping soundly in the cheerful village.
The drowsiness crept in, her expression became blank, only to be awakened by the icy and cruel coldness. This bone-chilling coldness constantly reminded her that the scar in her heart had never faded.
