The Paranoid Elf Queen Turned Me Into Her Sister – Chapter 25

25~ Privileges Only for Divine Maidens

“Ah………..truly.” Glancing at the full-length mirror, Tillysha, the gold-haired elf adorned with a golden-blue butterfly hair accessory, flicked a strand of her dazzling gold hair behind her elf ear and sighed lightly.

Had she once again subconsciously donned the hair accessory while half-asleep?

This wasn’t the first time this had happened. A few days ago, a similar incident occurred, and although she retained a hazy recollection of it, she remembered waking up in the middle of the night in a daze and absentmindedly placing the chalice butterfly atop her head.

However, the memory was so faint, as if it all transpired within a dream.

Thus unfolded this scene: In the early morning, the elf girl, clad in loose pajamas, rubbed her tear-filled sleepy eyes, her exquisite, snow-white feet stepping delicately off the bed. Her delicate arches basked in the morning light, casting a glossy pearl-like sheen.

Tillysha, dragging her uncombed knee-length hair, walked lazily, stifling a yawn along the way, toward the full-length mirror.

The first time this kind of thing happened, Tillysha was startled, as her still-sleep-dazed mind failed to recognize the young girl who inexplicably appeared in her room.

The second time, after a brief moment of surprise, she quickly recovered.

Tillysha had wondered about these occurrences and attributed it to her subconscious, tied somehow to her elf body.

Tillysha discovered long ago that the elf body harbored a certain physical memory, one that could effortlessly alter certain habits, even her ways of speaking and thinking, without her notice.

This created discrepancies. Though she was one person with one consciousness, the way she handled or viewed things, and her habits differed to various degrees.

Speaking of which, had it grown larger over the past few days?……….

With her hands clasped behind her, slightly raising herself on her tiptoes, Tillysha examined herself in the mirror for a while, eventually nodding seriously.

Indeed, it had grown a little more.

As for the astonishing growth rate of her elf body, Tillysha had a theory.

She raised her pearly, milk-white fingers, neat as jewels, and poked at the ‘scar’ on her face.

This body was constantly sucking in the strength of the weapon known as “Holy Oblivion,” drawing the power to ascend to Divinity, hence why the growth was so rapid.

In just a few days, Tillysha had noticed a slight increase in her height.

However, the height change wasn’t striking. If it weren’t for the rapid expansion of this ‘grand edifice,’ she might have overlooked it entirely.

Can we say, worthy indeed of an elf?

Tillysha pulled her hand back, letting it rest under her chin as she walked a few steps in front of the mirror.

Does this count as helping grandma walk?……….

Sigh, what was she doing?

Lowering her hand, Tillysha poked her head.

It has to be said, this function of body-switching is pretty humane. Upon switching, it realized there’d be no easy way to find proper clothes and equipped Tillysha with an appropriately fitting outfit. Though it wasn’t very stylish and the material was rather cheap, it was unmistakably designed for a young girl. If she had ended up stepping out in a man’s ill-fitting gear, well, it’d definitely have been awkward one hundred percent.

Too bizarre.

The sleeveless flax shirt paired with shorts and strapped sandals was within reasonable bounds. It looked a bit shabby, but it was undoubtedly wearable for a woman.

As a D-level divine maiden who hadn’t yet graduated, she hadn’t received the official Coleman Academy uniform.

However, that suited Tillysha fine. She harbored a slight aversion to skirts, as her thinking and s*xual orientation were still firmly male-oriented. If she one day had no resistance to such garments, problems would truly arise.

Today was different from the usual. She had to go out, and as Tillysha herself.

Though divine maidens who hadn’t yet been formally recognized were considered students of Coleman Academy, there wasn’t much pressure to attend classes regularly.

The rule applied equally to divine sons.

Before official recognition, even though students had the right to attend Coleman Academy’s classes, whether or not they attended was their choice. The academy didn’t impose any requirements.

Tillysha figured this was because, in the academy’s eyes, the students were merely provisional entrants and weren’t considered true students until they secured their positions. Hence, the academy didn’t intervene much.

This indirectly cultivated the students’ self-discipline. If you couldn’t overcome such basic desires, being expelled and packing up was only a matter of time.

On the other hand, if a student was so exceptional they could shine brilliantly without the guidance of mentors, skipping classes could become their privilege.

Thus, the academy treated their newcomers with leniency, adopting a laissez-faire policy akin to free-range farming.

With nearly a week having passed since enrollment, Tillysha hadn’t even set foot in a classroom, something that didn’t quite sit right. After careful consideration, Tillysha decided to make a change that went against her own inclinations.

She resolved to attend a day’s worth of classes under the guise of Tillysha, while also getting a glimpse of her fellow divine maiden classmates.

Tucking her student ID and donning feathered earphones to disguise her elf ears, as usual, she headed toward the cafeteria. Inadvertently moving toward the free bread distribution spot, Tillysha stopped short.

The free dining spots provided for divine sons, mages, alchemists, and other professions were limited to the morning bread supply and evening corn soup stalls. Divine maidens, however, were a different story.

As purely divine parental roles, divine maidens had their own exclusive free dining zone. The meals offered were a perfect combination of meat and vegetables, with dessert as an after-meal bonus. Compared to the free dining areas of other professions, there was no denying the superior treatment between the parental figures and the juniors.

If one were to rank the professions, divine maidens clearly occupied the top spot. They were the undisputed star of the team; everyone else was there to support them. Divine sons occupied the middle to upper tier and could be considered a motherly role, being both the captain and the guiding force of a team.

Mages held a son-like function. Not expected to be highly combat-effective, they just needed to imbue magical power into the weapons of their team’s warriors.

As for alchemists? What? Is this profession even necessary in a team? For combat sustainability, there are the cleric-level divine maidens, convenient and efficient. For providing damage output? There’s the knight-level divine maiden already taking care of things up front. They didn’t count on mages and definitely didn’t count on alchemists.

However, these weren’t the main concern. Tillysha had long been pining for the divine maiden’s dining spot, but was hindered by the fact that she wasn’t one herself. Every time she eyed the sumptuous meals served at the divine maiden’s spot, her mouth watered.

This time, her chance had come.

Though the food was excellent, there wasn’t a lot of company at the divine maiden’s dining spot. It was even somewhat deserted.

The reason was straightforward: These young ladies and gentlemen from distinguished families looked down upon partaking in such free food.

Only after Tillysha took her seat with a plate brimming with food, did she belatedly realize something.

Unconsciously, she had loaded her plate with fruits and vegetables………..

Was this punishment the result of her having read too many little picture books about elves in her past life? This time, she was fully immersed—actually turned into an elf herself… “So yeah, I really can’t bring myself to like you arrogant pointy-eared types.” “My dear little sister, say no more. I understand everything.” “I told you already—I’m not your sister’s reincarnation!!” Theresa was utterly hopeless.
