Chapter 63 ~ The First Battle As A Goddess
Just as the two Divine Sons were still contemplating whether risking the team for a single k*ll was worth it, the two Goddesses had already stepped forward and ‘helped’ their Divine Sons make the decision.
Why overthink it? Let’s go for it!
Youngsters, especially these young Goddesses who were born into prestigious families and carried themselves with an air of arrogance, were notoriously short-tempered. Whether or not they would listen to the Divine Sons was debatable, and even if they usually would, they completely lost their cool when the opportunity for a k*ll presented itself.
The meat was right in front of your mouth, just waiting for you to take a bite. Are you backing down now??
Your lordship doesn’t care, your lordship won’t back down!
Thus, the two Goddesses stepped forward without hesitation.
Apparently, Team 13’s Goddess was much faster than Team 22’s. This male Goddess arrogantly glanced at the Goddess who couldn’t keep up with her thoughts.
The k*ll belongs only to the worthy!
However, soon after, Team 13’s Goddess slowed down, realizing that something was keeping her tethered in place, unable to move. Meanwhile, Team 22’s Goddess had surpassed her.
What the…? It hurts!
The searing pain made Team 13’s Goddess realize that her waist was entangled by a strange, thorny vine.
There was no doubt that upon realizing her speed wouldn’t match the other, Team 22’s Goddess unethically unleashed her Divine Authority.
“Hehe!” Team 22’s Goddess made a scornfully goofy face at her, quickly chasing the fleeing ‘Dillin’ and throwing a chain hammer that struck ‘Dillin’ right on the crown.
After a dull sound, the token hanging on ‘Dillin’s’ waist intercepted the fatal blow, and in turn, the token shattered, emitting a burst of intense energy that enveloped ‘Dillin.’ The next second, ‘Dillin’ disappeared, leaving behind only a serene and audible announcement.
“Divine Son of Team 30, Dillin, eliminated.”
“Ha ha, feels great.” With the k*ll secured, she swaggered, swinging the chain hammer in her hand, feeling quite gallant in her decisive k*ll, completely unaware that the 13th Goddess, whose k*ll was stolen, was already fuming.
“You goddamn Wild Goddess!” The 13th Goddess swore, picking up her dagger and rushing towards the 22nd Goddess, completely disregarding her own Divine Son’s advice of ‘don’t fight, stay calm.’
“He used Divine Authority to bind me, and I can’t fight back? Pfft, this is the first time from childhood I’ve felt so humiliated, today I’ll send him to Cardikanto!” (One of the Seven Saints who oversees funerals and d*ath)
With that, the 13th Goddess, eyes blazing, swung her machete, ready to exchange lives with the 22nd Goddess.
Upon seeing this, the 22nd Goddess took a step back and hastily deployed her Divine Authority [Demonized Devil Vine] to bind the 13th Goddess, hindering her attack.
However, the 13th Goddess was not to be trifled with. Enraged, she unleashed her Realm and Divine Authority, cutting the vines that bound her with her Airblade.
“Divine Authority, [Sharp Edge Cutting]!” The fiery-eyed 13th Goddess was completely infuriated.
Not only did he steal my k*ll, but he used Divine Authority to do it. I didn’t even use Divine Authority, and you did? Are you asking for d*ath??
The 13th Goddess, armed with her Realm, was invincible, wielding her Airblade continuously with both hands. The relentless assault made the 22nd Goddess finally abandon her arrogance and call for help from her teammates.
A lightning bolt streaked across, striking the charging 13th Goddess, sending her flying off with her Realm scorched black.
The Mage from Team 22 stepped forward with several scrolls.
“You’re taking it too far!” Team 13 couldn’t bear that their teammate was being overpowered by other teams, so the whole team rushed in to support their friend.
Seeing this, Team 22 also went all in.
At this point, both Divine Sons knew that this battle was inevitable, the grudges were formed, everyone was heated up, and the two Goddess had already set the pace. This team battle was unavoidable.
Both sides had to fight it out till d*ath.
Just hope no one else sneaks in this chaos.
Amidst flashes of blades and lightning, magical fireballs, Divine Powers, and spells rampaged everywhere. The two teams chasing Tillysha were now mixed up into one big brawl, completely forgetting their original purpose.
When people get heated up, they can’t keep a clear mind, and when they lose focus, they don’t know what they’re doing. When the fighting started, all the usual coordination was forgotten, only following one rule: eight-way fighting chaos.
The fires were blazing.
Tillysha, upon seeing this, didn’t show any joy on her face—she remained expressionless as she scanned the forest.
She knew that this battle was just a minor weakening of the opponent’s strength. The real troublemakers hadn’t arrived yet. Team 57 had already arrived; they were sitting back and watching the fight, waiting to benefit from the aftermath.
Soon enough, the battle was over.
The chaotic fight had trimmed the surrounding grass as if it had been given a haircut, the grass significantly shorter with traces of fire and lightning attacks all around.
In the end, Team 22 emerged victorious in the team battle.
However, even with the complete annihilation of Team 13, Team 22 paid a heavy price.
Out of the four-person team, the Ranger Goddess was killed in the charge; the information-providing Divine Son was taken out by an unidentified AOE; the Heavy Cannon Goddess, who was goading the enemies from the front line, was targeted and nearly eliminated; only the Mage survived. Even this Mage was slashed by the other Goddess just before taking out the last enemy. Though the blow wasn’t fatal, the already fragile Mage took this hit, and the token already had a massive crack.
As the Mage calmed down, he finally reacted, feeling lost.
Was this fight worth it?
As he shakily got up, he suddenly found his hands bound by dark black vines.
The Mage’s eyes widened as he looked at the three people emerging from the jungle.
Aileen smiled sweetly at the Mage, who was tied by her spiny whip.
“Bravo, bravo, what a splendid performance you put on for us.” Lalo applauded sarcastically.
“You, you…………!”
Before the indignant Mage could say anything, Aileen kicked him down with a swift kick. “You’re so stupid, didn’t even consider if there were other teams nearby before battling.”
“d*e.” Aileen unleashed her Realm, wearing a tight black outfit and high heels, stepping on the Mage’s chest while raising the whip. The whip, with a powerful gust, broke the Mage’s token.
“Effortless,” Aileen stretched her wrist and, with only one red dot left on the token, shifted her gaze towards the hill.
“Well, it’s time to say hello to our old classmate.”
On the other side, after confirming no one else but Team 57 was nearby, Tillysha stood up and untied the long package.
The wind blew away the white cloth, revealing an oversized white longbow.
Tillysha climbed down the small hill with her chest held high, walking confidently towards the trio approaching her.
This was her first battle as Tillysha.
One against three.
