Chapter 64: Sacred Tree Shelter
The rising air currents lifted the edges of her garments, as her light steps, clad in bound shoes, gracefully touched down on the lawn with a sound akin to stepping on cotton. Her golden hair swung up and down with her figure, gleaming under the sun like sunlight falling on ripe wheat, radiating a lustrous sheen.
After landing, Tillysha lightly tapped her toes on the ground, her long and evenly proportioned legs stood straight, and her leg skin, free of anything but her bound shoes, gleamed snow-white under the sunshine like jade fat. Her white instep and neatly clean toenails as pure as pearls were fully exposed. Combining this with her silk-like golden hair that fell to her knee bends, and her curvaceous figure, it perfectly portrayed the goddess of beauty’s preference for high elves.
Her linen clothing on the upper body didn’t expose even a hint of skin, but it utterly failed to conceal Tillysha’s “assets.” Following her movements, the ‘waterbags’ swayed, presenting an overwhelmingly alluring scene.
Tillysha dexterously flicked the strands of hair that had fallen on her shoulders to the back of her ear. The wheat-sheaf braid on her brain and the swaying hair tips, along with her light and elegant steps, couldn’t help but exude an air of noble elegance, despite the cheap clothing she wore.
Her emerald-jewel eyes focused on the horizon, her delicate eyelashes fluttering like golden gossamer.
The distant black dots grew clearer, allowing her elf vision to already make out several familiar faces.
They were coming her way, knowing her position.
“Won’t you hide anymore, Miss Tillysha?” Soon enough, the distance between them had shortened to where they could clearly hear each other’s words. Seeing the girl before her with her head held high like a white swan, Aileen teased provocatively.
“I thought you’d continue to cower in the jungle, trying to prolong your survival time.”
“But, I guess none of that matters anyway, you’re going to leave the Crown Cup arena with a zero score.”
“Isn’t that a bit too harsh? We’re classmates after all; there’s no need for such a stiff rivalry, huh?” Lalo, letting his eyes greedily sweep from Tillysha’s head to her toes, openly displayed his hidden desires by gazing at her snow-white skin and that valley that seemed like a place of no return. Yet he pretended to be the good guy.
“Lalo class president, even when your mind is full of inappropriate thoughts, there are times and places for them, you know?” Aileen coldly glanced at Lalo, who was attempting to curry favor.
“Miss Aileen, what are you afraid of? Moreover, Miss Tillysha is alone. I think instead of fighting a futile resistance, she’ll have a smarter plan in mind.”
“How about that, Miss Tillysha?” Lalo continued without paying attention to Aileen, staring directly at Tillysha.
To call it a team, in reality, everyone in the team had their own little tricks.
In Lalo’s opinion, the team was just a temporary one that could disband anytime, once the Crown Cup was over, they would need to reassemble, and he didn’t have to care about Aileen’s attitude afterward.
Initially, he flattered Aileen because she had a great figure and came from a good family. However, after some interactions, Lalo could hardly tolerate her haughty manners, behaving like a little princess as if everyone in the team had to revolve around her.
On the contrary, Tillysha was different. She was breathtakingly beautiful after her transformation, far surpassing Aileen’s level. In comparison, Aileen looked like a moody old woman.
Tillysha’s background may not be glorious, but precisely because of that, she was easier to control.
Tillyshas, who longed for recognition and harbored a sense of inferiority due to being a Wild Female, were the easiest to manipulate. Coax with a few sweet words, promise big benefits, and you might even lure her to bed. After that, form a team consisting of several such females and one proper male, and in the future, the team would be run by his word alone, or even as his personal harem!
Lalo was having his sweet dreams, completely unaware that Tillysha’s bowstring was much louder.
While Lalo spoke, lost in his grand delusions, Tillysha quietly inspected her long bow, tested the string in front of them without saying a word, completely ignoring his speech.
“Lalo class president, you should shut up, don’t you see that this Wild Female isn’t even hearing you out?” Aileen coldly said, mocking with a sneer, watching Tillysha pulling the empty bowstring without loading an arrow.
“Miss Tillysha, are you asleep? What’s with coming to battle without bringing arrows, just holding an empty bow?”
Before she could finish her sentence, the sunlight focused on Tillysha’s bow eye, and a light arrow trailing golden starlight flew off the string, brushing past Lalo’s shoulder and cutting off a few strands of his hair.
“You… …” Lalo widened his eyes. That arrow had come within half an inch of his head, practically grazing his face. He instantly became furious.
Tillysha stood tall, lightly tapping her toes, one knee slightly bent, slightly raising her gaze, her olive-colored pupils remained as calm as an ancient well.
“This shot was just the declaration of war. Next time, I won’t deliberately aim off,” said Tillysha, flicking her golden hair behind her, her tone indifferent.
“You ungrateful wench!” Lalo yelled in anger, all traces of noble demeanor gone.
In his view, it was already an overreach for a Wild Female to reject his proposal.
“What’s the point of all these words? Let her get expelled from Coleman Academy directly!” Aileen whipped up her long whip, her voice icy, sneering at Tillysha clad in cheap linen.
“A goddess with no Divine Princess Domain, becoming a divine goddess doesn’t really change anything.”
“Dare to defy a proper goddess, you need to recognize your position!” Lalo summoned his Divine Authority and Realm; wearing a revealing martial arts top with finger knuckles tightened in his hand, he launched a fierce attack against Tillysha.
Meanwhile, Aileen’s underlings didn’t stand idly by but took aim with their crossbows.
Three Divine Goddesses against one Divine Goddess.
It seemed like an absolute disadvantage.
Tillysha slightly lowered her eyebrows, the winds accompanied her soft chants, raising her radiant hair.
Divine Princess Domain: Sacred Tree Shelter
Unfolded.
Golden patterns outlined the sun and a lyre, the sun casting golden beams, merging with the winds of nature, gathering around the girl, following her high and beautiful chants.
“What?! … Divine Princess Domain?!” Aileen’s eyes nearly popped out.
As the chants softened, Tillysha’s clothing transformed anew; her sides adorned with blue-gilt butterflies, her braid fastened with silver ribbons trailing down two silver silk ribbons.
On top, she wore a white sleeveless shirt dotted with vibrant green, revealing her slim waist and porcelain arms; the chest was designed with gold-thread patterns. The elf-inspired airy style highlighted the snowy valley and delicate clavicles, two white feather robes trailing with golden tips flowing with her silky golden hair.
Her pure white pleated skirt with golden edges fluttered with the breeze.
The blue silk gloves hooked only onto her middle fingers, with golden rings on those same fingers stretching the gloves up to her elbows. Her wrists adorned with golden bracelets enhanced her graceful arms.
Her elegant legs were wrapped with pure white thigh-high stockings, smooth and radiant with a shine, their edges decorated with golden lace. The foot sections designed for binding feet, covering part of her instep and the soles of her feet, exposed the white frost-like toes and heels, each toe clean as pearls, one of them adorned with a golden ring.
Her white toe rings and bound feet revealed her elegant curves, her translucent feet resting elegantly on the soft grass.
(As shown in the cover for Tillysha activating her Divine Princess Domain)
Chapter 65: ‘Front Armor’
Platinum hair, shining like superior silk moved with the wind, the two white feather robes trailed gracefully with the flow. Her feet bound with silk stockings lightly touched the ground, her exposed heels and toes in direct contact with the soil, yet curiously remained dirt-free, as if the grass lifted her up.
“Divine Princess Domain?!” Aileen’s eyes contracted. “This girl has unlocked her Divine Princess Domain?!”
Yes.
After transforming into a Divine Goddess, upon inspecting her Divine Authority and Realm, Tillysha realized what Balos instructor had predicted: her Divine Princess Domain was extraordinarily special and couldn’t be triggered by instinctual danger.
As for the condition to activate her domain, Tillysha glanced at the longbow in her hands.
The condition to trigger her domain was the presence of a wooden longbow.
And why she chose the relatively flexible Bani wood…
“Can this wild goddess even have a Divine Princess Domain?!”
“Fear not, she is but one! Even if she can activate it, what of it? We have three authentic goddesses, do we fear a b*stard in the shadows?” Aileen regained her calm. “Take care of her now, before things get complicated!”
Lalo, with his finger knuckles, was responsible for the frontal assault, Aileen stationed in the middle didn’t take further actions for the moment, and the Ranger rank Divine Goddess behind her already had her crossbow aimed at Tillysha.
Lalo went for straightforward physical attacks. Of course, Aileen wasn’t just standing idly by; Lalo distracted Tillysha, allowing Aileen to restrain her with Divine Authority, then pursue her with Lalo and the ranger goddess behind.
Speaking of which, in comparison to other rookie teams, these three had decent coordination.
But not much.
Especially when facing a hybrid like Tillysha, whose Divine Goddess abilities combined with Divine Male traits, this fighting tactic was strategic but not nearly enough.
As soon as Lalo initiated an attack on her, Tillysha used the Divine Analysis Technique to scan both Lalo and the ranger behind him.
Whether it was Lalo or the ranger, their domain resilience and four-element resistance levels were both quite average, even worse than Aileen’s. Their domain effects were also lackluster, nothing noteworthy.
A brief introduction to Divine Authority effects, Lalo’s Divine Authority was [Overwhelming Strikes], Level 5, which locks a target, making them unable to clearly determine from which direction his punches are coming, resulting in unpredictable defense failure.
This is why everyone in the class referred to him as [Phantom Fist] Lalo. It’s not that his punch speed was exceptionally fast, but rather a visual illusion making his fists seem too fast to see.
This Divine Authority, once activated, consumed low Power Points and could remain active with no issues.
Another ranger goddess’ Divine Authority was called [Voodoo Secrets], Level 3, which allowed stealthy toxin application on weapons, a technique similar to what alchemy could achieve but more cost-effective and faster without the need for an application process.
Undoubtedly, the poison was already on her crossbow bolt. If struck, it would be troublesome as the poison seeps into the bloodstream.
As for Aileen’s Divine Authority effect, Tillysha was already aware of it from a previous real battle scenario.
Having no Divine Male among them, the trio knew nothing about Tillysha’s Divine Realm or Divine Authority, whereas Tillysha had thoroughly analyzed them unknowingly.
Information warfare alone was a massive loss for them.
Evidently, these novice Divine Goddesses didn’t recognize the importance of a Divine Male in battles.
Perceiving the black Divine Power inside Aileen coalescing through the Divine Analysis Technique, Tillysha turned it off as the elf’s heightened senses allowed her to instantly detect Aileen’s Divine Authority position, swiftly sidestepping as thorny black vines grazed past her.
“How is this possible?!” Aileen stared wide-eyed, completely stunned that Tillysha could dodge her binding.
She could release Divine Authority attacks in a 360-degree radius around her enemies without being noticed, and this level’s enemy had no way of dodging such an ambush.
In other words, Aileen hadn’t considered the possibility that Tillysha could actually dodge her Divine Authority.
Aileen’s ranger companion was equally astonished but didn’t forget the crossbow in her hand.
After stealthily applying poison using Divine Power, she took advantage of Tillysha recovering from her dodge and being momentarily stationary due to inertia, firing a crossbow bolt.
Indeed, her timing was excellent. Just upon landing, Tillysha had no way to avoid this arrow.
This goddess internally filled with confidence, a proud smile formed expecting great contribution.
“Clang clang!” Accompanied by a clear ringing sound, the goddess’s smile froze.
As expected, Tillysha couldn’t avoid it; the arrow precisely struck Tillysha’s chest, then…
It didn’t even scratch her skin, rebounding off without damage.
The crossbow bolt was predictably deflected; her large ‘front armor’ bounced softly due to the impact.
This was against the rules, right? Wasn’t it beneficial for them to be so large?!
The goddess felt a little envious.
But wait… it didn’t make sense either, no matter how large an object is, it couldn’t deflect a sharp arrow, right?
Could it be Divine Princess Domain? To deflect a crossbow bolt like that required maxing out physical resistance?
The goddess guessed correctly. Tillysha wasn’t deflecting the bolt solely because her ‘front armor’ was too thick; it was indeed due to Divine Princess Domain, but not exactly through physical resistance. In fact, her Divine Princess Domain lacked physical resistance entirely.
Not only no physical resistance, but none of the other three resistances either.
Divine Princess Domain: Sacred Tree Shelter (Level 1)
Tillysha can’t use bows other than wooden ones; when she uses a wooden bow, she gets domain protection, completely resisting all forms of attacks, and the bow’s toughness significantly increases, absorbing all attacks directed at her.
When Tillysha uses a wooden bow, it gets enhanced, allowing her to condense Divine Power into light arrows that inflict Divine Authority damage or to overload and fire these arrows at the cost of more Divine Power.
This was the effect of Tillysha’s domain, but this was only the first half of its effects. The second half was her trump card.
In a sense, Tillysha’s domain lacked any resistance. Whether it be Divine Authority or magic attacks, all could be blocked by her bow.
However, the domain wasn’t entirely invincible. The bow in her hand, though reinforced, would break under heavy damage, especially Divine Authority attacks.
While it could resist multiple slashes or strikes without a scratch, receiving multiple Divine Authority hits would definitely break the bow.
In this case, the quality of the bow becomes essential; this is why Tillysha chose the Bani wood, which was less flexible but very tough.
But handling a toxic arrow bolt was still more than enough.
