78~Excuse me, what did you just say?
“What’s going on?! Didn’t he say he equipped a small mage armor scroll?! How did it disappear just like that?!” Listening to the announcement of their teammate’s elimination, the three of them were stunned.
“Small mage armor can’t protect every part of the body precisely. At most, it covers vulnerable areas like the head, chest, and abdomen.” After a moment, the Bald Male God responded to their confusion with a struggle.
“That kind of precise strike to the neck is not within the protective scope of small armor.”
“Tillysha… is she that Tillysha?!”
“Hey, Baldy! Use your Divine Analysis Technique to figure something out?! Aren’t you always bragging about it?!”
Clearly, the three of them attributed Tillysha’s terrifying archery precision to Divine Authority.
“What can I do? Divine Analysis Technique is ineffective against her! I’m just as desperate!” The Bald Male God was starting to question his life choices. He thought he was the cream of the crop among his peers, but today, he couldn’t even use his ace card. How frustrating?!
Meanwhile, the Mage’s last smile and Endy’s arrow hit Tillysha, sending her flying due to the impact’s shockwave. To their astonishment, Tillysha, hit by both the fireball and the arrow, simply rolled on the ground and stood back up as if nothing had happened.
This fireball spell must be a fake, right?!
The only explanation they had was that Tillysha had a really high realm magic and physical resistance.
So far, Tillysha’s performance had put immense psychological pressure on the trio, stemming largely from their complete ignorance about her.
They didn’t know her realm, her Divine Authority, or what kind of offensive move she would make next. On the other hand, Tillysha was well aware of their situation.
Her delicate heels lightly touched the barren ground, her silk hair flowing over her shoulders as she glanced at the longbow in her hand. There was a clear char mark about an inch long on the bow’s arm.
That was a burn from the fireball spell, feedback that the longbow had received. While physical damage against her realm had minimal effect, the impact of magical attacks was quite significant.
Yet these three had no way of knowing that. They could only assume that Tillysha’s physical and magical resistance was absurdly high—so high they couldn’t possibly defeat her, trapping themselves in a mental cage of their own making.
With the Male God rendered useless and the Mage down for the count, only the two remaining Goddesses had any function left.
Seeing that their teammates were unreliable, Borton and Endy began to take matters into their own hands.
Tillysha glanced at her head, where a tiny ‘1’ hovered above—Endy’s Divine Authority mark. If it reached three or above, Endy could manually detonate it. Until that point, it was harmless.
She first needed to deal with that pesky Mouse Man digging tunnels.
But this Mouse Man would quickly retreat into his hole after attacking, giving Tillysha no chance for a counterattack. Meanwhile, Endy was also constantly targeting Tillysha, applying pressure.
For now, Tillysha could afford to ignore Endy; she focused entirely, her pointy ears twitching as she listened carefully to the sounds beneath her feet.
Endy’s arrow shot toward Tillysha’s chest, but without even needing to defend, she deflected it easily.
Endy was a bit dumbfounded.
Physical damage completely failed against the golden-haired girl. Her realm’s physical resistance couldn’t possibly be higher than Princess Filisia’s, could it?!
Borton burst from the ground, his steel claws coated in deep brown, unknown slime, swiping at Tillysha.
Tillysha dodged effortlessly, not even having to pull back her bow, and Borton disappeared like a fish jumping into the sea, without a trace.
For Borton, hitting with this attack didn’t matter much; he could retreat underground at any moment, which meant he didn’t have to face any risk—essentially executing an attack with no follow-up penalties!
“Hey, rookie! Learn from me! You’re too green to fight me, haha!…”
As Borton dove back into the earth, Tillysha’s snowy white palm sprouted a tender green bud.
She crouched down, gently twisting the sprout, and with slow, deliberate movement, placed it into the hole…
After that, Tillysha drew her bowstring, the brilliance gathering on the wings of the bow becoming ever more dazzling. The light arrow on the bow’s string shone like a vibrant star as it built up power.
“Boom, boom, boom!” After a brief calm, the earth trembled as if something were persistently ramming against the crust below.
Endy lost his balance, toppled over by the violent shake. Before he could wrap his head around what was happening, a loud crash accompanied by his teammate’s wails filled the air.
Turning to look, Endy saw all the holes that Borton had created spewing forth rampant thorny pillars. With nowhere to hide, Borton was ensnared by the thick thorns and thrust up to the surface.
The sturdy thorn pillars acted like a giant hand, grabbing Borton, who was hiding under the ground, and tossed him into the air.
At that very moment, Tillysha released the fully charged light arrow from her bow.
Fueled by the charge, the arrow shimmered like a nebula, striking Borton and sending him sliding several yards. Before Borton could land, the announcement of his elimination had already echoed.
Emerald thorn + charged light arrow + critical hit practically took Borton’s life in an instant.
“d*mn it!” Endy nocked another arrow, attempting to sneak attack Tillysha.
Tillysha sidestepped, and the arrow grazed past her hair.
“d*mn it…” Seeing the two markers above Tillysha’s head, Endy gripped his bow tightly.
He was almost there; if only he could trigger his Divine Authority with just one more hit!
Things were going smoothly before; why did his most crucial shot go awry this time?!
It was as if Tillysha had perfect knowledge of his Divine Authority, deliberately avoiding his first two shots, and after that, she wouldn’t allow him to land a third.
But that’s impossible; she was a Goddess, not a God; how could she know anything about his Divine Authority?
“Let’s retreat!” Realizing he couldn’t win, Endy decided it was best for the team and chose to abandon the Bald Male God and flee.
“Hey, hey! I said you!…” Before the Bald Male God could strongly condemn this betrayal of teammate behavior, Endy halted a moment—a quiver went through his neck as an arrow lodged in it.
“Ugh!…” Endy rolled his eyes painfully; the agony of having his throat pierced by the arrow was all too real, and the feeling of suffocation made him wish he were dead.
His suffering didn’t last long, as Tillysha swiftly followed up with another arrow, successfully sending Endy off.
The Bald Male God gaped at the two light arrows embedded in Endy’s neck and collapsed to the ground in shock.
That girl’s arrows were like they had eyes, homing in on the throat. No matter where he tried to dodge, her arrows would find him.
Magical and physical attacks inflicted zero damage upon her; she seemed utterly flawless!
“C-can you not sh**t my neck… crunch!”
“Excuse me, sir? What did you say? Could you repeat that?” Tillysha tilted her head, observing the Bald Male God as he began to lose consciousness, with arrows in his neck.
