220. School Health Check
“Good morning~ Ning Chu~”
Just as Ning Chu stepped into the classroom almost on the dot, she heard an overly energetic greeting.
She looked up to see a big dog leap into her arms, affectionately rubbing its face against hers.

She paused, her hand going to her freshly trimmed hair from the salon.
Not much had been cut off; her mother wanted her to keep her hair long and beautiful, which was whatever for her. In fact, she thought it was a bit too long now.
But Zhang Shaoqing had caught that little detail…
“Is it?” Ning Chu lowered her head, replying unflinchingly.
No worries, due to last night’s outfit, her mother had secured her hairstyle with a few clips before she left, and now it was just messily hanging down.
Perhaps Zhang Shaoqing noticed the difference and didn’t pry further, instead asking: “Aren’t you staying in Yan Xinya’s dorm last night? Why didn’t you come to class with them?”

“What’s your problem?” Wen Yang mumbled, spotting the teacher arriving, immediately switching to listen-mode, tuning out the outside world.
But while Ning Chu brushed Zhang Shaoqing off, Yan Xinya leaned over with a gleeful look.
“So you two are living together already~ No wonder you’re such a succubus~”
“Living together?” Ning Chu shook her head without hesitation, “He just helped me do some cleaning.”
“What about last night…”
She of course wouldn’t admit she spent the night with Wen Yang: “He slept on the sofa.”

Ning Chu yawned and leaned against the desk, resting her chin on her arm while watching the teacher calling roll.
