“Vision: 5.0.”
“Normal, normal, normal.”
“Tail development is poor…”
Due to the recent lack of story-damaging events, Ning Chu’s tail was still a bit short, and the little heart at its tip hadn’t even grown in yet.
For an eighteen-year-old adult succubus, this was indeed underdeveloped.
She froze for a moment and awkwardly raised her head to ask, “Xinya, do guys grow tails?”
“Nope.”
Exactly! If guys grew tails, they’d become beastmen, not like those stories filled with little emperor tropes—there are no such settings in those books!
So how was she supposed to turn in this health check-up form?
Yan Xinya leaned closer, peeking at the form: “It’s fine, the instructor probably won’t even look at it?”
“True.”
“Let’s head back to class then~”
Ning Chu had to break some bad news to the Wolf Girl: “We don’t need to go back… we’ve already been marked as absent.”
“Huh?”
Yan Xinya paused, looking like she was about to cry: “I won’t fail, right?”
“It’s just once. It shouldn’t be a big deal?”
“It’s all your fault! You need to buy me milk tea!”
Having muddled through the health check, Ning Chu was in a decent mood and wasn’t about to skimp on the cost of milk tea.
She and Yan Xinya leisurely strolled towards the cafeteria, thinking that since they’d already been marked absent, they might as well just head back to their rental apartment and write some novels.
The Wolf Girl, always bouncing around with her lively demeanor, quickly forgot about the absence mark, running up and down the path, every now and then lunging at Ning Chu to nuzzle her face.
That image looked just like a big dog who had been cooped up at home for too long, finally let out to frolic around!
Ning Chu seriously considered whether she should put a leash on Yan Xinya.
But that seemed quite… inappropriate…
What kind of bizarre kink play was that!?
“Milk cap!”
Upon reaching the milk tea shop in the cafeteria, Yan Xinya immediately ordered the most expensive milk tea.
“One strawberry milk cap, and let’s add some lemon juice.”
Ning Chu placed her order at the counter and turned to the Wolf Girl: “Are you going back to the dorm later?”
“Got something to do?”
“Yeah, I’m planning to head back to the rental apartment.”
“Aren’t you waiting for Wen Yang to go back with you?”
“Nope.”
In fact, Ning Chu hadn’t let Wen Yang stay over at the rental apartment for a few days now. On one hand, she was worried about being disturbed while writing, and on the other, she was afraid Wen Yang might propose some even wilder requests before bed.
A little adventure here and there was fine, but if she kept letting Wen Yang push her luck, it wouldn’t be long before she’d be giving everything away for free.
“Then I’ll go play ball at the court~”
Yan Xinya was quite the talent on the basketball court, and she’d even joined the department’s basketball team.
After getting her milk tea, the Wolf Girl waved her tail at Ning Chu: “I’m off then!”
“Bye~”
Watching that big furry friend dash out of the cafeteria, Ning Chu smiled wryly and picked up the lemon juice from the counter.
That Wolf Girl was definitely a husky.
After messaging Wen Yang to inform him of her whereabouts, she left school and boarded the bus heading to her rental apartment.
She had been writing for two days, but the computer folder was still as empty as ever.
In fact, she had written a ten-thousand-word intro, but the more she revised it, the more unsatisfied she became, ultimately choosing to delete it and start over.
Writing those little emperor stories was much more inspiring!
Like a carefree rich kid turning into a girl, spewing flowery language while getting pinned down by a straight-laced roommate…
I’ve got to write that!
Ning Chu’s creativity surged, and she couldn’t help it, her fingers danced over the keyboard as she pounded out over a thousand words before finally stopping.
“Hmm… How did I end up writing this again?”
She suddenly realized, feeling frustrated as she hugged her head: “What if Shao Qing really becomes a girl?!”
God knows whether the plot she was currently writing would end up in this world.
If it did… she really wanted to see what a tsundere, sharp-tongued girl version of Zhang Shaoqing would look like…
Ning Chu quickly closed the document but, after a moment’s thought, decided to save it and toss it into a locked folder.
She slapped her cheeks to bolster her spirit and opened a blank document, ready to seriously write her online novel.
But that earlier little emperor story had really tickled her brain…
Moreover, this was a rental apartment, a private space, and she was all alone; no one would find out!
Such thoughts made her impulses even harder to control.
Ning Chu laid her head on the desk, her cheeks growing slightly pink, when suddenly someone knocked at the door.
“Here we go again…”
Ning Chu weakly pressed her hot face against the desk and rolled her eyes.
Fortunately, the reckless urge wasn’t too intense, and after being startled, she immediately cooled down. Shaking her head, she ignored the knocks and stepped into the bathroom.
“Ning Chu?”
“Give me two minutes.”
Wen Yang was also skipping class.
It was barely six o’clock, the normal time for class to let out, yet here he was, standing outside her door.
Ning Chu washed her face and took a look at herself in the mirror.
The redness in her face had faded, but the rich blush in her brows along with her watery, peach blossom eyes still made her look quite mesmerizing.
It was a face that clearly belonged to a high school student, yet those eyes held a strange charm…
What a weird contrast!
Ning Chu wiped her face again, quickly dashed to the door, and opened it.
“Why were you taking so long? What naughty things were you up to?” Wen Yang stood outside with a bag of snacks in hand. “Egg burger, want some?”
“Absolutely!”
She snatched the egg burger without a second thought, ignoring the first part of Wen Yang’s sentence, she turned and plopped back down in front of her computer. “So, you skipped class too?”
“I got a leave request for you and Xinya and decided to get one for myself while I was at it.”
Wen Yang leaned against the desk, arms crossed as he looked down at her.
“Is the instructor really that easy-going?”
“After all, I’m the class leader.”
But he saw Ning Chu frown discontentedly: “You should give that class leader position a rest.”
“The last time I wanted to visit your uncle with you, that old hag wouldn’t let me take leave! And you just walk in and get it?”
“The instructor is like fifty… her son is probably older than me.”
Ning Chu grumbled, “Double standards…”
“Well, either way, your absence for today is excused.” Wen Yang glanced at Ning Chu’s computer screen. “How come after two days you’re still stuck on the first word?”
“You said my presence would affect your writing, or else I wouldn’t have gone back to the dorm to sleep.”
Would anyone prefer seeing a beautiful little succubus over a carefree guy with his shirt off? Of course not!
Especially since this little succubus wore such thin pajamas that were downright delicious to the eyes; just looking at her first thing in the morning could keep anyone in a good mood all day.
Ning Chu sat tall and straight: “Writing the beginning of a novel is tough, okay?!”
“Well, tonight I’ll…”
“Not happening! Go sleep in the dorm!”
