246. Exorcism
7/20
It had rained for three consecutive days, but by Monday, the sky finally cleared up.
Yan Xinya sat bored in the classroom, one hand playing with her tail while resting her head on the desk and yawning.
She stared longingly at the classroom door, complaining to Lily, “Ever since Ning Chu moved out, she hasn’t wanted to hang out with us.”
“Mm.”
“I can’t even get any sugar while she’s out there feeding Lovey-Dovey vibes to Wen Yang~” She shook her ears and continued, “I heard Wen Yang has been visiting Ning Chu’s rental apartment every day this week and often stays over.”
“Do you think those two have already… you know?”
Lily, expressionless, didn’t reply.
“No matter how conservative Ning Chu is, she must have some cravings for that kind of thing, right?” The Wolf Girl looked up at Lily and asked, “If you got a boyfriend, how long would it take before you’d give it up for free?”
“……”
After a brief silence, a faint pink hue appeared on Lily’s fair face. She turned her head and muttered, “I don’t know.”
“One day?”
“I hate men.”
“Eh~ I don’t believe you!”
Suddenly, Yan Xinya’s wolf ears perked up, and she straightened up, looking toward the classroom door.
Her keen hearing had already picked up on familiar footsteps in the hallway.
But when two figures, one tall and one short, entered, the Wolf Girl froze in shock. “Huh? A Catgirl?”
She looked at the little Catgirl holding hands with Ning Chu and Wen Yang, surprised, “Can Succubi give birth to Catgirls?”
“……”
Lily just shot a glance at the Wolf Girl, thinking that if she kept consuming romantic stories, her brain might just short-circuit.
How long had it been since Ning Chu and Wen Yang got together? There was no way they could have a child already.
She turned to look at the three entering the classroom and suddenly understood why Yan Xinya had asked such a question.
Ning Chu and Wen Yang held the little Catgirl’s hands, and there was a gentle smile on her face. Her soft gaze occasionally met Wen Yang’s, and she squatted down to whisper something to the Catgirl, looking just like a new mother.
From any angle, the three looked like a little family.
“You can’t run around during class.”
As they were about to step inside, Ning Chu crouched down to Black Bean, tidying her collar, “And you can’t talk. Just lay down and sleep, okay?”
“Mm-hmm!”
Black Bean obediently nodded her head. As long as she didn’t have to take a bath, she was pretty well-behaved.
Wen Yang, worried about attracting unnecessary gossip, voluntarily let go of Black Bean’s hand and walked ahead into the classroom.
“Wen Yang! Who’s that little Catgirl?!”
As soon as he sat down, Yan Xinya rushed over, grinning, “Is she the product of your and Ning Chu’s love?~”
Wen Yang leaned away from the Wolf Girl and chuckled, “She’s Ning Chu’s cousin, visiting her.”
The two had already agreed on a cover story over the weekend.
“Cousin? Isn’t she supposed to be in school?”
“Uh…”
He quickly thought on his feet, “She got sick and took a semester off. Now that she’s better, she came to find Ning Chu.”
“Oh~”
Just then, Ning Chu led Black Bean to sit next to Wen Yang.
She felt a bit nervous, afraid that Black Bean might suddenly shout “Mom” in public, leaving her utterly embarrassed.
But leaving Black Bean alone at home for four to five hours was also worrying.
What if it resulted in chaos?
A cat might just scratch the sofa or curtains, but a Catgirl’s destructive power was on another level.
If Black Bean decided to run away again, that would be a hassle.
“How cute!~” Yan Xinya leaned over, trying to pet Black Bean’s head, “What’s your name?”
Just as her hand approached, Black Bean nervously gripped Ning Chu’s shirt.
Ning Chu quickly stopped the Wolf Girl, saying, “She’s afraid of you.”
“Huh? Why would she be afraid of me?”
Wasn’t it normal for a cat to be scared of dogs?
Internally, she scoffed and casually explained, “She’s a bit shy and introverted.”
“I see~” Yan Xinya gave up on the petting idea, resting her chin in her hands, teasing Ning Chu, “You three looked like a little family in the hallway just now~”
“Anyone who didn’t know might think she was your daughter!”
Ning Chu shot her a glare, “I’m not even twenty yet, how could I have a daughter that age?”
In terms of looks, they resembled sisters more than anything, with Ning Chu’s youthful appearance resembling a high school student’s. There’s only about a five to six-year age gap between her and Black Bean.
Black Bean, however, cooperated. As soon as she sat down, she laid her head on the desk and drifted off to sleep.
Ning Chu rested her chin on her hand, playing with her ears and hair. Although her expression was gentle, her heart was heavy.
Just two days, and this little cat had turned her life upside down…
Normally, it was okay as long as she had Black Bean, since even Wen Yang was cautious not to bully her, fearing he would set a bad example for the child. But what would happen if they encountered a plot twist and she faced punishment?
There’s only so much one can endure!
“What’s her name?” Yan Xinya leaned over the desk, looking at Black Bean’s face squished against it.
Ning Chu paused for a moment, pretending she didn’t hear.
She hadn’t thought of a new name for Black Bean yet; after all, she suffered from name-giving anxiety.
“Ning Chu.”
Just as she pondered what to name Black Bean, Wen Yang suddenly called out to her a bit nervously.
She looked up, following Wen Yang’s gaze toward the classroom door, where a girl in a red dress had just walked in.
The Succubus An An!
The female ghost stopped in her tracks, scanning the classroom before her eyes widened in surprise when they landed on Wen Yang.
It seemed she had randomly found a classroom to hunt for her next victim, only to unexpectedly run into Wen Yang.
“Eh! An An?!”
Yan Xinya recognized the female ghost and raised a hand to greet her, but Ning Chu quickly held her down.
“Don’t!”
“What’s wrong?” The Wolf Girl, oblivious to the situation, turned to Ning Chu’s anxious face and after a moment of contemplation, suddenly realized, “Oh~ Are you jealous?”
“……”
Ning Chu was only worried that An An wouldn’t survive Wen Yang’s excessively strong yang aura and would end up scattered into oblivion!
If a Succubus couldn’t handle it, what chance did a ghost have?
Yan Xinya was already used to her tough demeanor as she watched An An approach, muttering, “Even if I didn’t greet her, An An still came over~”
“An An’s figure is much better than yours!”
Ning Chu instinctively looked down at her chest.
By domestic online shopping data, the average bust size for women in the country is a B, and she barely met that standard.
But in this little emperor story world, a C cup was the norm.
But hey, there’s still plenty of room for growth, just a bit of rubbing here and there will do the trick.
If it weren’t for the sudden arrival of Black Bean, her bust might have grown a cup size over the weekend.
Before she could think further, the female ghost had approached them.
Wen Yang looked tense, and Ning Chu seemed ready for battle, her gaze fixed on An An’s chest, while Yan Xinya cheerfully greeted her.
“An An, what brings you here~”
“Good morning.”
An An, with her usual sultry aura, walked up to Wen Yang’s desk, preparing to speak when her eyes suddenly landed on the sleeping Black Bean.
Her expression changed drastically, much like a mouse encountering a cat, and she took several steps back before hurriedly trying to flee the classroom.
Ning Chu was dumbfounded, looking confusedly at Black Bean.
Could it be, that Black Cat exorcised her?
