She muttered, suddenly pausing the game and pulling out her phone.
What’s up with her brother? Lily had made her intentions clear, yet he flat-out rejected her friend request and even blacklisted her!

Just then, she saw her brother was probably goofing off at work. As soon as she sent the message, she got a reply.

And Ning Yuan probably thought this was one of her scheming tricks; otherwise, he would have just added her and let it be instead of blacklisting her.
The sound of soft footsteps drew her attention. Fresh from the shower, Lily peeked inside. “Ready to go? I need to do my makeup.”

“Hold on, I need to finish my milk tea first.”
During the ten minutes it took her to enjoy her milk tea, Ning Chu hurriedly cleared a level in the game, feeling satisfied as she stood up.

After putting the cup down, Ning Chu switched off the TV and game console, bracing herself against the bed as she stood up. “Let’s go!”

Yan Xinya darted up and pulled Ning Chu toward the door.
Lily’s hair was dry now; she set down the blow dryer and gazed in the mirror a few more times. Suddenly, the Wolf Girl rushed back into the room, grabbing Lily by the arm.
“Let’s move, no more dawdling!”
“Hey! Makeup…”
“Forget the makeup! We’re just shopping! Look at Ning Chu; she didn’t even put on makeup!”
