Trapped in Paradise – Chapter 6

006. Cultivated Villain!

Inside the single-person break room of the school medical room, Ning Chu sat on the pristine bedding, both hands cradling a cup of water, sipping glucose water mouthful by mouthful.

Reincarnated lives and all, it was the first time he had fainted, as well as the first time drinking glucose.

It was mildly sweet, not a bad taste.

He lifted his gaze, casting a glance at Wen Yang and Zhang Shaoqing standing nearby, his lips twitching.

The male protagonists from the book were now attending to him alone…..

Unfortunately, he wasn’t a girl and didn’t like men. This world wasn’t some derivative of an otome game but a male-oriented piece of “Little Emperor Wen.”

Had there not been any chance for a turn of events, and him being unfamiliar with this world, he would have already dropped out of school and run off.

“Ning Chu, why don’t you faint again later?” Zhang Shaoqing grinned cheekily. “That way, we could bring you here one more time and slack off.”

Ning Chu turned away, too lazy to respond, shifting his b*tt to lean his back against the headrest, half-closing his eyes as he stared toward the window.

His hand unconsciously pressed on his abdomen, as if that could suppress the pain.

This pain was different from the usual stomachaches he had experienced; it was a cramping sensation gradually spreading, from a point expanding into an area. It wasn’t intensely painful, but the continuous discomfort was exceedingly torturous.

Ning Chu remembered something and jotted down a line on his phone’s memo: “September 16, abdominal pain.”

Though he thought it was unlikely, what if this pain persisted for a few days and the same symptoms reoccurred next month? In that case, he really ought to visit the hospital for a health checkup.

Though absurd, what if it really was Aunt Flo.

But this was the hospital of a Little Emperor Wen world… It just felt a bit dangerous.

He clearly remembered mimicking X-disease Ward and writing a few segments about hospitals.

Truly digging his own grave!

“Could it really be Aunt Flo?” Ning Chu muttered to himself in exasperation, rubbing his temples.

Wen Yang, who was playing mobile games nearby, turned his head toward him: “What did you say just now?”

“Nothing, just that my stomach really hurts.”

“Isn’t this the medical room? Ask a doctor to get some medicine.” Zhang Shaoqing’s gaze remained fixed on the phone screen as he stood up without raising his head, walking a couple of steps toward the door of the break room, then ramming straight into a pillar.

“sh*t! This lousy pillar!”

Looking at the utterly infuriated Zhang Shaoqing kicking the pillar a couple of times, it was hard to picture this guy becoming the villain described in the book.

Ning Chu sighed in his heart yet again.

Then looking at the seemingly honest and law-abiding Wen Yang, who reportedly hadn’t held hands with a girl since he was eighteen and ruined his first date with a girl, how did this guy turn into a harem Jerkwad?

“Here, these are for your stomach,” Zhang Shaoqing soon returned with a small bottle of medicine,” take one each time.”

“The doctor hasn’t even seen us yet…”

“The doctor’s busy, there are seven or eight girls outside. Lucky for you that you fainted early, otherwise you would’ve been waiting outside too.” He threw the medicine bottle onto the bed and continued, “Do you need to see a doctor for this minor illness? I could just go to the pharmacy and buy some for you.”

Ning Chu indifferently picked up the medicine bottle, swallowed a pill with the glucose water, then continued to slump there pathetically, hugging his belly.

Once Wen Yang finished his mobile game, he only then looked up toward Ning Chu half-lying on the bed and asked: “How’s it going? You still look pretty pale.”

“Still not feeling great…”

“Then take a morning leave?” Wen Yang said with a face full of concern, “Just say Shao Qing’s Sichuan hotpot last night had some issues, leading to gastroenteritis. The counselor should approve.”

“There’s no way there’s an issue! We ate it and we’re fine,” Zhang Shaoqing insisted, grumbling.

As they were talking, a middle-aged man walked into the break room.

Ning Chu couldn’t help but look up. Seeing the counselor dressed sharply in a suit, he was a little stunned.

“How are you doing?” The counselor walked to the bedside, examining Ning Chu’s face up and down. But Ning Chu awkwardly shrunk his neck and avoided the counselor’s gaze, “If you’re already fine, just continue the military training. You two have been slacking here for half an hour?”

Zhang Shaoqing confidently countered: “I was taking care of my sick roommate, how can that be slacking?”

“He looks pretty fine now.”

“He still has abdominal pain! Went out with us to eat Sichuan hotpot last night and got gastroenteritis.”

Here again, arguing unreasonably to slack off, but Wen Yang’s gaze had shifted to Ning Chu, clearly noticing Ning Chu’s unnatural expression.

He moved closer, gently inquiring, “Where else is it uncomfortable?”

“No…”

With a mixture of regret and self-reproach, Ning Chu rubbed his temples.

It was mainly due to seeing this cultivated scoundrel of a counselor, which made him a little uncomfortable.

In the book, this counselor had abused his position to threaten and tempt female classmates, and he didn’t know if such incidents had already occurred.

After all, this was Little Emperor Wen. Many plots in the book violated moral and legal ethics. Writing it down was a flight of fancy, but if it were to happen in reality, it would only result in physical discomfort.

Why did I write Little Emperor Wen articles back then!

“Alright, you two go for military training first. I can stay and watch him,” the counselor didn’t want to argue with Zhang Shaoqing anymore, waving his hand for them to leave, “What about taking care of a classmate? I even heard you guys playing games outside just now.”

“Playing games to keep the patient from being bored, how could that not be taking care of them?”

Zhang Shaoqing continued his obstinate arguments but still grudgingly walked out, muttering, “The sun is so scorching, don’t want military training…”

Wen Yang helplessly stood up to follow, while Ning Chu had an idea and hurriedly got off the bed.

“Wait for me!”

“You’re all better?”

“Not too bad, let’s give the resting room to other girls, I’m going for military training!”

The counselor looked at Ning Chu’s still slightly pale face and frowned slightly, “Alright, go then.”

As it neared noon, the sun became even more fiercely blinding.

Just stepping out of the medical room, Ning Chu’s eyes were stimulated and couldn’t open them. He hurriedly caught up with his roommates, only to hear Wen Yang’s surprised inquiry.

“Why do you seem to have a pretty poor impression of the counselor? Like how you used to treat Shao Qing, always wanting to avoid him.”

“You’re talking nonsense! My relationship with Ning Chu has always been very tight!”

Ning Chu gave Zhang Shaoqing a sidelong stare.

At the start, of course, he had to be wary of the main antagonist in the book. This guy was much more of a pervert compared to the counselor. But after spending some time together, didn’t he know that Zhang Shaoqing was just a silly guy?

Just don’t let their plot lines happen, and a silly guy would forever remain a silly guy, and a virgin would always be a virgin.

“Hey, let’s order takeout together for lunch? We can meet the minimum requirement for discount.” Zhang Shaoqing held his phone and came closer.

Wen Yang shook his head, refusing, “I’m going to the cafeteria, I have a date with my girlfriend.”

“Ning Chu? Wow! How come you look so energetic?”

Wen Yang turned his head, only to see Ning Chu full of vigor, staring at him enthusiastically.

“I’m going to the cafeteria for lunch too! Let’s sit together!”

“Ah?”

That woman actually thought she could seize the opportunity!

Perhaps in this matter, he should cooperate with Zhang Shaoqing!

Ning Chu suddenly hooked his arm around Zhang Shaoqing’s neck, smiling kindly, “You’re coming too!”

“I don’t want to cram into the cafeteria… What’s his dating thing got to do with us? Not going!”
