### 066. Instructor
For Ning Chu, the long vacation turned out to be a source of tension.
He didn’t dare to let Wen Yang venture out alone, so he had no choice but to tag along for some sunbathing and part-time work, only to be tricked into becoming a maid at a coffee shop.
Zhang Shaoqing was also having his own problems, leaving Ning Chu utterly worn out over the past couple of days.
But the good news was that it was all over now. Wen Yang was only focused on playing games in the dormitory… aside from those once again bulging muscles.
Bright and early in the morning, Ning Chu worryingly threw on a coat.
Rubbing his eyes, he sighed and plopped down in front of the computer.
The rise and fall of his chest wasn’t too big of a problem, but that little red bean was too conspicuous.
In the dorm, it was manageable—after all, the air conditioning was on, and his roommates had more or less noticed his unusual behavior. A coat could remedy that. But in class? He worried that wearing a coat in the sweltering heat would lead to a heat stroke and him keeling over.
“Yo~ you’re such a weakling, huh?”
Zhang Shaoqing had just come in from the balcony after a smoke and spotted Ning Chu’s coat. He couldn’t help but tease, “Got your period or something? So afraid of the cold?”
Ning Chu had become quite adept at ignoring such taunts. He’d realized that getting mad at this shameless guy was utterly pointless; it was far better to just let it slide.
Without so much as turning his head, he continued to stare at the anime playing on his screen.
In his past life, what was called a “meat show” had become normal here. He had to admit, it was quite a treat for the guys.
“Early morning noise, huh?” Wen Yang mumbled, stretching as he woke up. He leaned down to look under his bed, “Ning Chu, have you eaten breakfast yet? You still need to take your medicine.”
“Nope.”
“Shall I go grab something from the cafeteria for you?”
Ning Chu lifted his gaze to glance at him. Before he could speak, Wen Yang sighed and nodded, “I know, I know, no dates.”
“Such a classic case of Wife Control!”
“I’m just worried he might get deceived,” Ning Chu explained coldly. “He’s too honest, and with so many girls chasing him, he could easily be scammed—money or even worse, his body!”
“Ah, true, true! You’re absolutely right!”
Seriously, Zhang Shaoqing was such a pain!
He suddenly realized that the guy’s moody moments were actually more likable!
Ning Chu shot him a fierce glare.
But Zhang Shaoqing seemed to take it as a compliment, smiling even wider.
Ning Chu strongly suspected this guy might be a masochist!
Wen Yang agreed with Ning Chu. His personality was a bit introverted, making him easily flustered by girls. As for getting tricked into something physical, he didn’t really care—it was hard to say who was losing out or cashing in.
But getting scammed for money was a serious issue!
“What do you want to eat?”
While asking, Wen Yang effortlessly rolled over, sprang up, and stood firmly on the ground in less than a second.
At a height of one sixty-seven, this was no challenge for him.
Ning Chu caught a glimpse of his slick moves out of the corner of his eye and couldn’t help but stare, slightly envious.
How he wished he had Wen Yang’s physique and stamina! Getting out of bed that smoothly!
If he tried doing it the same way, he’d probably end up face-planting on the ground and checking into the hospital.
“Mixed noodles and dumplings, and don’t forget to add lots of vinegar to the dumplings.”
“Got it.”
Wen Yang headed to the balcony to tidy up. Just a few minutes later, he was ready, clad in slippers, heading out the door.
But just as he opened it, he heard Ning Chu’s voice calling from behind, “Oh, and buy me two boxes of Band-Aids!”
“Where’d you get hurt?” Wen Yang glanced back, looking anxious.
“Nowhere, just preparing.”
“Alright then, I’ll swing by the supermarket on my way.”
Watching him leave with the door closed, Ning Chu sighed deeply.
There was no way to hide the little mountain of activity in front, but he could still figure out how to deal with that glaring little red bean—he certainly couldn’t buy a bra and wear it in the dorm, right?
Maybe he could use Band-Aids… he heard girls sometimes used that little trick to avoid wardrobe malfunctions when wearing dresses.
Zhang Shaoqing rushed over to Ning Chu’s side, leaning against the wardrobe while admiring his freshly dyed black hair in a small mirror. He asked, “Where are we going to play today? Being cooped up in the dorm is going to drive me nuts.”
“Play… there’s not much I want to do.”
Ning Chu really didn’t feel like going out.
What if he ran into a pervert? What if Wen Yang got wooed by another girl again? What if…
“Classes start in two days—let’s go out and relax! How about a massage? Last time, I made all the arrangements, and you led the charge in bailing!”
“No way!”
“Then how about the Pingdingshan scenic area? They’ve got a paragliding base! Plus bungee jumping and roller coasters!”
“Don’t… I’m afraid of heights.”
“Then how about the water park?”
“I’m afraid of water.”
Zhang Shaoqing frowned in dissatisfaction, “You’re so difficult! Fine, I’ll go with Wen Yang; you can just stay in the dorm and wallow in your misery.”
“…”
Ning Chu pressed his lips together, knowing if he didn’t want to go, Wen Yang most likely wouldn’t either.
Even if he did want to, with how much he had been ‘schooling’ Wen Yang, just a word from him could easily shift things.
Suddenly, his phone gently vibrated. He looked down at the lit-up screen.
“Han Jingye?”
Zhang Shaoqing leaned over to peek at Ning Chu’s phone, curiosity piqued. “What does the instructor want with you?”
“How should I know?”
Ning Chu began to worry. Although the instructor seemed dedicated and responsible, it was Zhang Shaoqing who had stepped in during Lin Li’s crisis to ensure that Wen Yang wasn’t taken away by that bad woman.
But in the plot, this guy wasn’t exactly a saint. Ning Chu really didn’t want to have any dealings with Han Jingye.
Regardless, he picked up his phone and reluctantly opened the message.
It was a @mention for the entire group, listing recent activities and competitions. Han Jingye required every student to participate in at least one event this semester.
Ning Chu casually scanned the list: sports meeting, New Year’s welcoming party, provincial essay competition, design competition, basketball game…
“Eh, not interested in any of them.” Zhang Shaoqing exclaimed, voicing Ning Chu’s thoughts. “What kind of moron instructor is this?”
“Seriously, he must be a bit off his rocker.”
Why is there a mandatory requirement for participation?!
Ning Chu’s fleeting fondness for Han Jingye evaporated. This guy was just a typical bad guy straight out of a story!
Ning Chu wasn’t one for cursing, but he couldn’t help but grumble internally.
He was busy with plot destruction—who had time for these ridiculous activities?
“If you’ve selected an activity, you can come to me to register for it. If you have other concerns, feel free to discuss them with me privately.”
Han Jingye messaged again, filling the once lively classroom group chat with utter silence.
“Moron!”
Then Ning Chu saw a familiar avatar in the group type in two words.
He turned in confusion to Zhang Shaoqing, only to find him looking innocent. “He really is a bit of a moron!”
Glancing down at the class group again, Wen Yang popped in to add a “+1.”
Wow, were they really trying to give the instructor a heart attack here?
Ning Chu happily joined in, typing “+2.”
The classroom group fell silent once more, and the three residents of the dorm were muted for a month.
