### 131. Li Na’s Plan
Chen Yao was quite curious about the relationship between Lin Nan and Li Na.
On the surface, it seemed like they were more than friends but not quite best friends, yet Lin Nan often acted like she couldn’t stand Li Na, while Li Na was practically glued to Lin Nan.
Could it be a classic case of girl chasing boy?
He watched the two chatting away in the distance, stroking his short beard, wondering if maybe Li Na was a yuri fan?
He couldn’t figure it out; their relationship was complicated in a way that made no sense.
“Honestly, Lilith is really going to be revived,” Li Na said seriously.
“Isn’t that something to be happy about?” Lin Nan frowned, confused by Li Na’s statement.
Given how Li Na had acted before, Chen Yao thought she should be wishing for Lilith’s revival every day. And since Lilith would be reviving through a peaceful and introverted Earthling like Lin Nan, there was a good chance her personality would shift, fitting perfectly with Li Na’s goals.
But now, Li Na was saying reviving Lilith would help Lin Nan, provided he spent a night with her.
Yeah, right! This girl was probably just after his body!
Lin Nan wasn’t naive enough to think “spending the night” was just a sleepover—she was probably planning to use magic on him the whole night.
Who knows if such a magic even exists? After all, Lilith’s a straight girl who knows nothing of magic, while Li Na is yuri! Could she even conjure a mini-Li Na out of thin air?
“Hmm…” Li Na rested her chin on her hand, pondering seriously before nodding, “While it’s indeed a happy thought, I think it’s better to find a win-win solution, hmm.”
“A win-win solution?”
“Like, finding her a body?” Li Na frowned, looking a little troubled. “But I don’t know much about souls; this is just a concept for now.”
Lin Nan’s eyes lit up, but he quickly shook his head. “Isn’t that just harming someone? That… practically sounds like m*rder!”
He hadn’t done anything seriously bad in his life—maybe he had stolen a few candies from the convenience store as a kid or pulled pranks that made his grandfather chase him down the street. The thought of something akin to m*rder made him instinctively reject the idea.
“How about finding a body without a soul?” Li Na chuckled. “It’s still just a theory, but I’ll try to bring back a suitable, living body that meets the criteria. Preferably a useless body with no magical talent. Then, Lilith can resurrect herself in that body without resisting me… hee hee!”
As she spoke, she laughed like a lovesick girl.
This girl definitely had ulterior motives for Lilith.
And though it was just a concept, it was curiously appealing.
“Funny enough, I also need to take a week off to report on the situation back on Earth. So, you need to provide me with magical energy and give me a task. I can find a body that substitutes for you while bringing Lilith back to life.”
“But the question is, how do I give it?”
Until now, Lin Nan had never actively sensed the so-called magical energy. The only time he felt something odd was during magic use—a warm flow running through him.
“Just spend a night with me! That’ll let me tap into Lilith’s magic.” Li Na grinned mischievously. “You’re using magic like a baby now; asking you to actively give me magical energy is too much!”
That was accurate. Even though Lilith’s memories contained loads of magical usage techniques, that was three hundred years of knowledge. Lin Nan had barely two months to catch up.
“So, I have to engage in a little close contact if I want her magic?” Li Na said, completely straight-faced.
“???”
Unlike when he was shaking his head frantically before, this time Lin Nan hesitated. While he felt there was a risk of being… well, taken advantage of by this yuri girl, it was still better than ending up being possessed by Lilith down the road.
Although he didn’t quite understand how getting Lilith’s magic depended on spending a night with Li Na.
“I’ll think about it,” Lin Nan said, his face flushed, voice barely above a whisper.
“Let me know your decision tomorrow!”
Li Na waved and dashed off to continue her exercise, and only then did Chen Yao approach. He wasn’t exactly a gossip-monger, but he had seen the two whispering to each other.
However, seeing Lin Nan’s flushed cheeks, it felt like Li Na had made an outrageous request.
Unsure of what that request was, Chen Yao tried to reassure him, “Don’t mind her. If anything comes up, just tell me, I’ll help out.”
Unfortunately, the only thing that could deal with Lilith was magic.
Lin Nan nodded but still didn’t spill the beans. After all, the whole magic thing was pretty mind-bending for a regular person.
He didn’t feel like wandering around anymore and headed straight for the dormitory. Chen Yao followed, glancing at his back, sensing he was burdened with something heavy.
It was understandable; only a few months were left in the semester, and when winter break arrived, Lin Nan would have to undergo surgery to become female. Anyone in his shoes would feel the weight.
But the real issue was that Lin Nan’s troubles clearly stemmed from Li Na.
Chen Yao always thought Li Na was trouble; he had already warned Lin Nan to steer clear of her, yet somehow they kept gravitating towards each other.
Back in the dorm, Lin Nan returned to his spot in silence.
If it were just about spending the night with Li Na, Lin Nan thought he could probably manage that.
But if Li Na truly had bad intentions, he seemed to have no way to resist.
Maybe he should unlock an escape magic? You know, like the kind that lets him bolt when things get hairy?
Previously, Lin Nan was considering learning a few spells, so by the time winter break rolled around, he’d just magically become a girl. But now he realized that if things went sideways, he might not have enough magic at his disposal.
His priority was to unlock three to five spells before winter break; otherwise, he’d be stuck living as a girl in the dorm.
“Hey Nan Nan, want some milk tea?” Just as he was deep in thought, Tu Junhui approached him with his phone, looking for someone to join in on an order. Noticing Lin Nan’s lack of response, he called out, “Chen Yao, Xiong Da! Anyone want milk tea?”
“Why are you shouting like that?” Xiong Da, who was on a video call with his online girlfriend, jumped a little. “Do you have to be so loud?”
Tu Junhui didn’t care and asked again, “Is anyone drinking? If not, I’ll just order two cups myself!”
He scanned the dormitory, seeing no one paying him attention, and could only pout as he shuffled back to his computer, muttering, “Why do I feel like I’m becoming increasingly unwelcome? It’s just that my clothes have been soaking for a week, right? The dorm doesn’t smell like anything…”
