I Don’t Want to Be Turned into a Girl by Magic – Chapter 149

151. Homework?

==============================

When Lin Nan woke up, his head felt fuzzy and painful.

He groggily opened his eyes and realized he was lying on the bed in the dormitory, with Tu Junhui’s angry scolding murmuring in a deliberately lowered voice beside him.

Wait a second… didn’t Li Na knock me out back on Student Street?

This can’t just be a dream, can it?

He sat up, glanced down at his perfectly fitted clothing, and even noticed he hadn’t taken off his jacket. He finally relaxed; it seemed that freak Li Na didn’t do anything weird to him after all.

But why the heck was he lying here? He was just handing out flyers on Student Street! Did Li Na carry him back?

He scanned the three roommates around him, and, as expected, they were all busy gaming.

“Tu Tu, how did I get back?”

He asked Tu Junhui, who was deeply engrossed in a strategy game and seemed to have a little time to spare.

Tu Junhui turned to Lin Nan, rolled his eyes, and said, “You walked back, didn’t you? Do you think you could fly? You came back looking like a complete idiot, crawling into bed without even changing.”

Walked back?

Lin Nan had absolutely no recollection of returning from Student Street, but then again, if Li Na could make a corpse dance around, controlling a fainted version of himself to sleep in his own bed shouldn’t be too hard either, right?

But why did Li Na knock him out in the first place?

Lin Nan felt a wave of confusion wash over him, then suddenly realized that during his unconscious slumber, he seemed to have dreamt of marrying some faceless man in the bridal chamber.

This jolted him awake, not because he was thrilled about the dream, but because for a while, all he had dreamt about were memories of Lilith. This was the first time he dreamt of something different.

It seemed that Li Na had helped him out, sparing him from being heavily imprinted by Lilith.

He wasn’t feeling violated; his clothes were all in order. A quick look at WeChat showed that his part-time earnings had already arrived in his account, which clearly indicated that Li Na had resolved his job issues too, and he was freed from Lilith’s influence.

Wait, is Li Na actually being this nice?

Lin Nan was completely taken aback; he had always thought of Li Na as just a simple pervert.

Clambering off the bed, he realized this was the best sleep he’d had in a week!

After a big yawn, he kicked off his socks and slipped into flip-flops, grabbing a towel to wash his face on the balcony to wake himself up.

“Li Na really has no standards…” he mumbled. Even though he changed his socks daily, he still thought it was pretty gross to go to bed in them. Couldn’t she just control him to take them off before sleeping?

Still feeling a bit fuzzy-headed after just waking up—even after washing his face—he felt something was missing, like his brain was leaking something vital.

Could it be that his brain was leaking?

He shuffled back into the dorm, where Chen Yao had just finished his game. He turned to Lin Nan and said, “Li Na came back with you earlier. She probably doesn’t have any demands now, right?”

Chen Yao harbored a strong dislike for Li Na. Completely unaware of the underlying details, he naively thought of her as some kind of deranged lesbian. After that night, Lin Nan hadn’t said much, but with the satisfied look on Li Na’s face, who knows what had happened?

Imagining the possibility made Lin Nan feel a little queasy… he almost wanted to call the cops on Li Na for harassment!

“No, I just happened to run into her while working my part-time job.”

Lin Nan sat down at the computer. He had been feeling fatigued from poor sleep quality over the past few days and hadn’t had much interest in gaming until now, finally feeling a spark of enthusiasm.

It was only seven in the evening, but he had already overslept for five or six hours, probably making it unlikely for him to sleep well later on.

“Is anyone pulling an all-nighter tonight?” he asked eagerly, “How about we all play PUBG together? I’m totally on fire at this game right now!”

To his surprise, Tu Junhui, the biggest gamer of them all, was the first to refuse, “I have stuff to do tonight. Why are you so free?”

“Free?”

“Didn’t the CDR teacher assign homework a few days ago? Have you even started working on your poster yet?” Tu Junhui clicked around on his mouse, searching for materials online. “I still have no clue what to do.”

“!!!” Lin Nan’s face was full of shock. “We have homework?! I thought we just had to copy and paste from class and turn that in!”

“Of course! You were passed out in class like a dead fish!” Tu Junhui rolled his eyes. “It’s due next Tuesday.”

But the problem was… Lin Nan had no idea how to use CDR at all!

It was a software similar to Photoshop, meant for creating posters and covers and the like. As a graphic design major, apart from theory courses, he had more important practical classes where he learned to use various design software.

This semester had introduced a new course, and Lin Nan had either been worried about becoming more feminine or anxious about turning into a woman, so he barely paid attention in class.

To be honest, he couldn’t even remember what the CDR teacher looked like, much less what was on his computer—he didn’t have the software installed!

“What do I do?” Lin Nan exclaimed, stunned. “How about you help me with one?”

Xiong Da had a knack for theory classes and was basically a pro at practical courses alongside Tu Junhui. Being someone who could actually draw, he thrived in those classes.

“What have you been thinking about? Do I look like the kind of person who helps with homework?” Tu Junhui scoffed. “Why don’t you ask Chen Yao?”

As soon as Chen Yao heard his name, he shook his head violently. “Don’t involve me! I wasn’t paying attention in that class either, and I’m trying to find tutorials on how to do it!”

This was bad, really bad.

Lin Nan felt a huge wave of pressure. He hadn’t been doing well in his major classes, and waiting until the last minute to follow a tutorial probably wouldn’t even help him finish it.

“Junhui?” He turned back to Tu Junhui, sweetly calling his name, “Could you help me out?”

Tu Junhui sneered, “Hmph, woman!”

Lin Nan completely ignored what he said and moved closer with a grin, “Tu Tu?”

“Get lost!”

d*mn it! Do I really have zero charm at all?!

Clearly, when he was wearing women’s swimwear before, people couldn’t stop staring at him!

Lin Nan tried to play cute but when it didn’t work, he angrily went back to his spot, nonchalantly mimicking Chen Yao’s legs crossed posture, muttering, “I was going to treat you to a meal! But you’ve turned down my toast for harder liquor! Just wait—I might just creep into your bed tonight!”

“Come on! Come on~” Tu Junhui beckoned with his hand. “Sleep with me and I’ll help you out!”

Anyone could talk tough, but Lin Nan decided to ignore him and just browsed for some tutorial videos like a good boy.

Still, first things first—he needed to download the software…

After a moment of silence waiting for Lin Nan’s comeback, Tu Junhui, looking disappointed, turned away to continue with his assignment, drowning in his lonely ambition.

But if Lin Nan really climbed into bed with him…

Hmm, maybe he should sketch Lin Nan’s comic after all.
