I Don’t Want to Be Turned into a Girl by Magic – Chapter 151

### Chapter 153: Isn’t That Better?

Lin Nan was incredibly curious about where Li Na had hidden Lilith’s body. At least when classes resumed on Monday, he hadn’t heard of any new student in their dorm class.

Maybe she rented a place for Lilith off-campus?

Given that Lin Nan had considered renting a place before, he had a rough idea of off-campus housing prices. Typically, a one-bedroom with a bathroom cost between four to six hundred. Li Na could tutor and probably earned a good amount, so she probably wouldn’t mind that expense too much.

The poster assignment wasn’t too tough either; on Sunday, with his roommate’s help, Lin Nan managed to whip up something that looked… well, let’s just say “unique.”

As long as it met the requirements, that’s all that mattered.

In the massive lecture hall on Monday, Lin Nan glanced curiously at Li Na, who was sitting across the aisle, while also trying to spot Liu Xuefei in the crowd.

Liu Xuefei had completely decided he was a girl already. He didn’t know if she was a blabbermouth, but he just hoped she wouldn’t go spreading his business everywhere.

“Nan Nan, want to join Big Dog in row four to play PUBG?”

Xiong Da had already ghosted them yesterday, seemingly without a care for the consequences of skipping class. He treated ditching class like it was a walk in the park.

As a result, when it came time to play PUBG, since they couldn’t gather enough players from the dorm, they just roped in Big Dog from the next dorm.

Lin Nan nodded, then leaned slightly and asked Tu Junhui in a whisper, “What’s Big Dog’s name again?”

“Zheng Xiang.”

Ah, that sounded familiar. So, Big Dog was actually Zheng Xiang!

With so many nicknames flying around, despite frequently chatting, Lin Nan had forgotten Big Dog’s real name. After a moment of thought, he concluded that “Zheng Xiang” didn’t have the same ring as “Big Dog.”

He rarely played mobile games outside of casual matches with friends in class, and he could never get the hang of PUBG’s controls on a phone. Even with his passive magic to speed up his reflexes, he was downright awful.

Most people were glued to their phones, but the teacher didn’t seem to care. She droned on with the lecture, making a mental note of the students paying attention, knowing their behavior grades would likely be higher at the end of the semester.

Just as Lin Nan was halfway through his game, he suddenly heard Li Na’s voice ring in his mind, “The soul magic research is going well; I should be done in about a month.”

“Let’s wait until after the break,” Lin Nan replied calmly. Having gone through this once before, he didn’t find it surprising. “Why did you knock me out that day?”

That whispering magic was actually pretty handy!

“I wanted to extract Lilith’s revived soul from your body.”

“And then?” Lin Nan’s eyes lit up, excitement coursing through him.

“Failed.”

Well, he figured that the strange emptiness in his head that day was just Lilith leaving.

“But now her influence on you is much smaller. Otherwise, I fear by the time I finish the soul magic, you’d already be another Lilith.”

“Impossible.”

Though he said it vocally, internally he was quite the coward.

Even if Lilith hadn’t been revived using his body, the thought of becoming another Lilith was too much to bear.

As Lin Nan mentally communicated with Li Na, it took a moment for him to shake himself out of it and realize his game character had been dead for who knows how long. He decided to just lay his head on the desk.

If Lilith’s influence had indeed decreased, why on earth was he still feeling those urges for risky behavior?

And he still found himself enviously eyeing pretty girls or unable to tear his gaze away from beautiful dresses… weren’t those thoughts Lilith’s doing?

Lin Nan was utterly perplexed but refused to admit these were his genuine feelings.

Finally, as class ended, Lin Nan stretched and prepared to get up, only to be jolted by a sensation of his clothes rubbing against his chest, causing his face to flush with heat.

“Let’s go.”

Chen Yao had already risen. When he turned around and noticed Lin Nan sitting back down, he frowned, “What’s up? If you don’t hurry, you’ll miss lunch.”

“I’m good.” Lin Nan carefully got up, following closely behind his roommate.

That sensation… it was like being zapped by electricity, making his heart race.

Lin Nan had experienced something similar before, but this time it felt unusually intense due to that simple friction.

Maybe he really should consider getting a bra?

But in a dorm, whether it was changing or anything else, privacy was practically non-existent.

Looks like he’d just have to continue to endure.

Letting out a soft sigh, Lin Nan followed Chen Yao into the cafeteria, while Tu Junhui had already ordered takeout, parting ways to head back to the dorms.

Lunchtime in university cafeterias felt like a horde of zombies had descended; students squeezed toward the counters like there was no tomorrow. At first, Lin Nan was one of them, but as his body became increasingly feminine, he began to detest the crowd.

Now he could only choose the nearly empty food stations to buy lunch, and those often offered below-par food.

“I’ll get your meal; just wait here,” Chen Yao said, pushing his way to the counter.

With nothing to do, Lin Nan was about to play on his phone when he suddenly felt a gaze on him. He looked up and saw it was that junior.

This junior was giving him a weird sensation of being stalked; it felt like he could see him everywhere.

“Senior, do you want to take a part-time job on Tuesday afternoon?” the junior smiled as he approached. “There’s a newly opened cat café. They’re having an event on Tuesday afternoon and need some extra help since they’re worried about having enough servers.”

“Oh?” Lin Nan perked up, “How much?”

“Three hundred for the afternoon and evening!”

“That much?!” Lin Nan exclaimed, incredulous. “Really? Just for a part-time server?”

The junior explained with a grin, “It’s because the evening counts as overtime.”

With the junior’s polite demeanor, it was hard for Lin Nan to suspect he was lying. He was about to nod in agreement, but just as Chen Yao returned from his short break, he interrupted, “Is that café behind the school?”

“Yeah, do you know it, Senior?”

Lin Nan glanced over at Chen Yao, who clearly hadn’t picked up any lunch yet but had mysteriously reappeared to throw a curveball.

“That’s a Maid Café…” Chen Yao shot the junior a glaring look.

“Isn’t that better?” The junior adjusted his glasses, still smiling politely.

Chen Yao paused, turning to Lin Nan, who was surprisingly swayed by the junior’s argument.

Well… it kind of did sound appealing?

“Maid Café?” Lin Nan shook his head vigorously, “Nah, never mind! That’s so overdone! Can’t we come up with something less cliché?”

Chen Yao looked utterly disappointed.
