179. Cat’s Perspective
Lilith was bewildered.
She had been bewildered for the past few months.
She had been a witch, the leader of the dark world, comfortably sitting on her throne for hundreds of years. Yet, somehow, someone had stabbed her in the back!
At the time, there were only a couple of people capable of pulling off such betrayal, but she couldn’t figure out who it was. These were people she had trusted implicitly for centuries.
Her ability to reincarnate wasn’t a secret, so as soon as her soul left her body, she used her strongest escape spell to flee to another world. After wandering around that concrete jungle for a few days, she finally found a suitable body.
However, the reincarnation failed… Her once powerful soul was now frail, but luckily, she had prepared in advance, leaving behind a rich legacy and a soul seed in that body, just waiting for the day she could awaken again.
In this magic-less world, all she had to do was wait to regain consciousness and she could control everything! She was going to collect all the handsome guys in the world!
Then she was rudely poked awake…
To her utter shock, she discovered she had turned into a cat.
Raising her head, she saw the girl now inheriting her legacy, looking at her with wide eyes, asking in disbelief, “What’s with the big reaction? I was just trying to wake you up!”
Um, excuse me? If you woke up as a cat, wouldn’t you react a bit too?!
She skeptically examined her new body.
No magic response, definitely not a magical beast.
Physically weak, she wouldn’t even win a fight against a dog.
No magical talent at all, meaning she wouldn’t be learning magic in this lifetime.
Her soul was firmly trapped here—unless she wanted to d*e, there was no escaping this body.

Where were all the handsome guys?!
She mournfully realized that her current form was just a completely unremarkable little black cat with no talent, eating cheap cat food and drinking plain water. The only good news? At least she was a female cat.
But she didn’t want to be exposed to male cats! She couldn’t do magic at all! What if she ended up with a bunch of little kittens?!
Lilith was utterly dejected and bit at her own paw, trying to convince herself this was all just a dream, but unfortunately, her paw hurt a lot—definitely not a dream.
She had absolutely no idea what to do, curling up and feeling like a total mess for the first time since breaking free from her family.
Extreme insecurity, overwhelming anxiety, and inexplicable anger at her failed plans flooded her mind, causing her to curse aggressively.
But no matter how much she cursed, the vocal cords of a cat couldn’t deliver a proper rant—she could only manage some pathetic meows, clawing at the air like a wannabe cute cat.
Soon enough, that body of hers returned, chatted with the man on the bed for a bit, then scooped her up in her arms.
Not only was this girl not giving up her body willingly, but she was also trying to hold Lilith like a toy!?
With a swift kick, Lilith pushed the girl away, losing her balance and crashing to the ground, rolling a few times, her body aching like she’d just fought a bear.
Yet, the instigator didn’t even seem to notice her plight and turned back to do whatever she was doing.
Lilith was wounded! After hundreds of years in power, she had never encountered something like this.
She was still trying to figure out why her soul had ended up in a cat—had she sleepwalked during her awakening?
After smacking her head on the floor, she lay there dazed and could get up, utterly ignored.
Was she, the mighty witch, now in a position where nobody cared if she was sprawled on the floor?
Out of nowhere, she felt a surge of rage, jumped up, and looked at the girl who had carried her away, leaping towards her face in a dramatic showdown.
I’m going to take you down with me!
The girl screamed and stumbled back into the man’s embrace, causing Lilith’s momentum to fizzle out, and once again, gravity didn’t show her mercy. She crashed back down, dazed and confused.
Being freshly transformed into a cat, she wasn’t used to moving around on four paws and had no clue how to land gracefully.
She bravely lifted her head, only to see the girl giggling and flirting with the man.
How outrageous! Absolutely outrageous!
She felt her insides boiling, launching herself towards the balcony in a fit of fury!
I’m going to commit cat-icide! Time for a new body!
As the girl shouted in surprise, she barreled outside, relishing the blue sky, white clouds, and greenery below her, happily closing her eyes.
And thus ended the most ridiculous life of the witch.
When I get to the next body, I’ll be the strongest witch again!
As her body plummeted faster and faster…
She landed abruptly in a soft embrace.
Lilith didn’t feel any pain, but as she was grabbed by the scruff of her neck, she saw the face of her captor and thought, “Seriously? Just left one den of madness for another?”
“Where did this cat come from?” Li Na said, bewildered, glancing up at the balcony where Lin Nan was waving to her.
“It’s my cat! I’m coming down now!”
“Isn’t that the cola cat?” Li Na asked, puzzled, “Why would a cat suddenly decide to commit s*icide?”
“Meow!” Lilith snarled, swiping at Li Na, “Let me go! You perverted yuri-loving weirdo!”
Li Na didn’t understand the rapid-fire cat language, but seeing Lilith’s angry antics, she furrowed her brow and dropped her unceremoniously on the ground, then, before Lilith could react, she stepped right on her tail.
Good luck scratching your way out of that one, lady! At least the jeans would protect her legs.
After a moment, Lin Nan rushed down, panting, and took a quick look at Cola’s condition. Seeing she was unharmed and happily clawing at Li Na’s pants, she felt relieved.
“This cat has suddenly lost its marbles today. Who knows what got into her?” Lin Nan complained to Li Na, “If you hadn’t caught her just now, she might have really hurt herself!”
“Just keep an eye in the future; it’s still a little life,” Li Na said, expressionless as she picked up the cat and handed her to Lin Nan. “I’m looking for Lilith’s soul near your dorm. She shouldn’t have gone too far.”
“Maybe she sensed my magic residue when she woke up and decided to run?” Li Na mused, “But the problem is, if she reincarnated into someone, I won’t be able to find her since she probably doesn’t have any magic now.”
“Can you actually reincarnate without magic?”
“That makes sense. So she must be in a wandering soul state!” Li Na rolled up her sleeves, suddenly full of energy. “She’s definitely hiding somewhere! Just wait until I catch you; I’ll train you properly!”
Lin Nan took a few steps back, feeling like this version of Li Na was quite intimidating.
